I heeded the advice of others here and ordered one size up from my normal size. Although the length is fine, the toe box feels tight. I wanted to like these shoes, but so far I'm unimpressed.

I took a gamble buying these boots. I have narrow feet. First off, these boots are extremely light weight, which is a big plus. Good traction, but the tread pattern isn't a tight one & mud clogs the treads rather quickly. Good ankle support. These boots did fit my narrow feet, but on my left foot when I walked the boot’s top pinched into the base of where my toes meet my foot at roughly between the first & second set of eyelets. Good cupped heal. Downside is that on my right foot, which is my most narrow foot, the laces would not stay tight. I had to stop & tighten the laces periodically, which is a nuisance and developed a sub-par fit as I walked. Boots also have an odd upward banana-like bend to the sole between the ball of my foot & the toes when I'm standing idle on a flat surface. I don't feel these boots breath like Gore-Tex XCR material does. Didn't have a chance to test the water proof abilities. I do like the almost sporty appearance. Will be returning these boots mainly because of the laces not staying tight & the pinching I mention into my toe area. Oboz Yellowstone is a descent/solid boot, minus the negatives I experienced.

Solid boot -
I live in the mountains in Colorado. I put these boots on and went for a 7 mile hike (above timberline in rocky terrain). At first I thought they were rubbing my ankles, but they quickly broke in (about 200 steps) and were very comfortable and dry. I have been wearing them for about a week and have done a lot of hiking. I really like these boots. I don't know if I would use them for multi-day backpacking trips. (I have pair of Vasque Wasatch GTX for that.) These are good solid boots that are well suited to hiking in the Rocky Mountains and are good looking as well. (I use these with Sole Ultra arch supports and they are accommodated quite well.)

Found these boots to be smaller than the size- I would recommend ordering 1/2 to one size up for a good fit.

Over all the boot is great. The only draw back I have with the boot is the toe box. It could be a bit wider for me. Maybe not tapered so much at the toe.
Plus side, it’s dry, hugs my heel very well, and has good traction going up and down.

The fit is amazing. Comfort, rugged, waterproof, and stylish all rolled up into one great shoe. Oboz is one of the best.

Yellowstone strikes gold -
I bought a pair of the Yellowstone's on minimal knowledge about the product or the company. So far so good. It didn't take long for me to break them in and enjoy the full potential of these versatile boots. Not only do they look great, but they feel great. I have already recommended these boots to a few friends, and won't hesitate to recommend them to you. As far as the delivery is concerned, I ordered them on a Monday and received them on Tuesday afternoon with free delivery to boot! Overall these boots can stand up to the most rugged terrain and can pass for a casual outing with the family.

I was skeptical about buying these, made by a relatively new company. I've only had these a few weeks so I can’t say a lot about durability but, they seem well built. A hybrid boot/tennis shoe, very comfortable for everyday use. I added some arch support to mine, a little more of a negative heel than my last pair. Would probably not be suited to a heavy pack but are nice for light hikes and everyday use on concrete floors. Comfortable right out of the box, no hot spots. Waterproof membrane works well so far. Zappos upgraded my shipping, can’t say enough good things about Zappos. I really liked the comfort of my Vasque Catalyst, but they left black marks and I never really liked the look. These Oboz look better and are every bit as comfortable. If they hold up well I will buy another pair.
