Overall an attractive shoe and comfortable. I bought these to wear to a wedding and reception and had them on for 9-10 hours the first time I wore them. My feet were tired by the end of the night, but they didn\'t hurt. The shoes could stand a bit more cushioning at the ball of the foot, but I\'m pleased with them. I would buy them again.

I'm really liking these! I finally conceded that my feet needed a low heel so I got these. They're really cute and very comfortable for around the office. I don't recommend them for any sort of long walk. (For instance, if you work in a complex that has a large campus.) That said, they're great. I usually have trouble finding a shoe that holds on to my narrow heel but these are perfect in that regard, too. I'm planning on buying another pair to keep in my luggage for when I travel and the first pair can live at the office.

This is an attractive, classic looking dress shoe, but the sizing is off, resulting in my returning the shoe.The B width, which I have worn for years, is way too tight across in this shoe. The heel is very stiff as well, making the entire shoe a misery to even attempt to wear. I lasted about 5 seconds and they were back in the box.

I typically wear a 7 Medium. This shoe was way too narrow. I usually keep the shoe if it is close but the size was way off on the width. Seemed like it would be a great shoe for those it fits.

I never wear dress shoes. I live in Birkenstocks and other ultra comfortable shoes that have plenty of arch support (I have flat feet) and plenty of toe room (bunions), but I had to have something dressy to wear to a wedding, something sleek and feminine, with just enough heel. I wore these out of the box and to the wedding and reception for 11 hours straight. Now I wouldn’t say these have the kind of arch support I’m used to, and the toe area isn’t that roomy, but somehow my feet remained comfortable the entire time (I give comfort 5 stars because I’m comparing the comfort of this shoe with that of other dress shoes), and afterward I was not sore and had no blisters. I did put bandaids on my ankles where I’d normally get blisters with new shoes, and I wore hose, which I’m sure helped a lot, but overall I was amazed and very happy with these Trotters.

Almost perfect -
Very comfortable fit and fair price for the quality. My one quibble -- and it IS a quibble -- is that the shoes look a bit heavy for a summer shoe, which is what I was looking for. They have a tiny bit of the 'sensible' shoe to them, which I suppose is why they're so comfortable.

A good balance of comfort and style -
I needed a pair of shoes with a low heel that I could wear with dresses and skirts at meetings and trade shows. I wore these for the first time last week at a show where I stood for 8 hours 3 days in a row. I wore these for 2 of the days and had no foot or back pain the whole time. Not high style but not frumpy either so they were a good compromise. I wish they came in a bone or light beige for spring and summer (they do come in white). I bought these in a 9 and exchanged them for the 9 and 1/2 size to make certain my toes had room. They were fine and I will add a thin gel insert for the next time I wear them at a show.

I have Fibromyalgia and it makes a lot of foot problems. These are very comfortable and the lower heel makes walking feel more stable.

Great shoes!
After having to send back three (!) pairs of another brand, I decided to give Trotters a try. The Doreen is great. Fits perfectly on me, with a feminine style, but still a flat shoe - great for me as I recover from some ankle problems.

I wanted to try loafer style shoes after my bunion surgery. This shoe didn't work at all. The shoe was very narrow, and the leather was so stiff I couldn't get the shoe on the repaired foot. I didn't try the other foot.

I'm a believer -
These are very comfortable shoes. I probably could have ordered wide instead of extra wide, but with a snugger in the heel they fit fine. My daughter told me about Zappos. I live in a small town and have to drive over an hour to a shopping center. With Zappos wonderful return policy and free shipping, I figured I couldn't go wrong. I tried them and I will do it again.

Comfortable but not durable -
These are wonderfully comfortable shoes. They don't rub or pinch anywhere, but they do look a little matronly. My major complaint is that the leather is not durable at all. I had only worn them a few times, and the leather had already scuffed considerably. The leather is also easily skinned (mine now have quite a few little "tags" that I have had to cut off). The heels have also worn down quickly. I would recommend it strictly for a dress shoe and not a shoe to be worn daily.

I love my Trotters Doreen -
I am so very pleased with my Trotters Doreen. When I first looked at them my reaction was "Oh, no, they look too narrow." And with my problem feet, that would be a disaster. But, when I put them on, I was pleasantly surprised and elated, because now I found a nice looking, comfortable dress shoe that I actually don't feel on my feet. I love em!

How blue can I feel?
I ordered these in navy to go with a navy blue dress and dress coat. They're a bit on the grey side of navy. More of a midnight blue. So they don't actually match the dress. They are keepers anyway.

I really have a hard time finding a comfortable shoe because I wear an 11 and these are so comfortable and attractive with a dress or pants. The kid leather is soft and rich looking. I will try Trotters again.

Great shoe!
I purchased one pair in black and liked them so much I ordered them in navy. I found them to be very comfortable and the strap also helps keep them on without slipping off the heel. I would have ordered them in black leather except they did not have in my size.

If you need a pretty shoe to wear for special occasions, but also must be very careful about your feet or balance etc., this shoe works very well to fit the bill.

Good looking shoe, very hard to find navy color, with nice lower heel. Shoe was a little narrow and pinches my foot a little but once they've been worn a few times that goes away. Can pinch across the top if you have heavier feet or your feet swell. Very comfortable otherwise and would recommend.

Attractive On Wide Foot -
Comfortable and stylish dress shoe that doesn't accentuate the width of my foot. So nice to find a dress shoe that holds the entire width of my foot with no overhang.

Cute and comfortable for a school teacher who spends most of her days on her feet. Hard to find shoes wide enough that are also stylish and nice with skirts and dresses, but this shoe does both!

Great shoes! I love these shoes. They were comfortable from the minute I put them on, standing, sitting, and walking around. I had read that the strap might be uncomfortable but it hasn't bothered me at all. I am really pleased!
