I love my Voltas! I am very tough on shoes and they are holding up beautifully! I live in the mountains and have worn them often for months in all kinds of weather, and they have been waterproof and very comfortable. I have to use arch inserts because I have a high instep, but they fit nicely into them. Wouldn't give them up for anything!

Do not buy these shoes. I almost never file a negative review. I bought these shoes not at Zappos but at a small mountain retailer in North Carolina. I have worn them 8 times, and an important part of the rubber sole has fallen out, making them essentially unusable. The failure happened in both soles. Now stuck in Colorado with mountains everywhere, I have defective shoes that should be awesome from a well-regarded manufacturer and no great choices. So, seriously, this shoe fits great. It is good for easy to moderate hikes, but you can't have a hiking shoe with a sole that has no structural integrity after only a few hikes. I'm sure Vasque will take them back from the retailer, but that effort by itself will take hours, very frustrating.

Comfortable, versatile and cool colors! No break-in time needed, very flexible and sturdy at the same time. Breathable, but waterproof thanks to the Gore-Tex mesh. I had to add arch support insoles because of my high arch, but with them in place they fit me like a glove. My favorite shoe!!!

Comfortable yet rugged -
No break in time needed. As with my other hiking shoes, I replaced the soles with SuperFeet soles. I hiked 8 miles over rocky terrain the day after I purchased them w/o a single sore spot or blister. They provided great traction during the rock scramble portion of the hike. Yet, they were also perfect for walking to the bus stop on a rainy day. Also a great shoe for anyone with wider than normal feet.

A Good Hiking Companion -
Lightweight and waterproof, these are the perfect shoes for my morning hike. No break-in time needed. I put them right on and walked 5 miles. Order the next 1/2 size up if you like to wear heavier socks.

The BEST hiker I've owned!
I have completely and utterly horrible feet. It's a struggle to find hiking or running shoes that don't torture me. These are fabulous. Roomy toe box, great support - I can hike waaaay further without a complete crying meltdown. They look cool; I love the combo of colors. It's surprising that they are so attractive, because they are serious hikers. Really love them.

 |  | Wow. Now THAT'S service. My husband has used your shoes for the past few years, since he found this particular Nike brand that worked well. He's retiring on the 30th after 32 years with UPS (never took a sick day, never missed work, and never had an accident or injury. He was last year's Utah Driver of the Year) and I told him he just HAD to get some new shoes for the occasion.
