Smart shoe, dumb strap! A very comfortable sandal. I unfortunately overpaid a shoe merchant in Noosa Heads Queensland for them. The velcro ankle strap is a design failure. In addition to the velcro strap "catching on" things and subsequently opening, the strap fell off after two months of infrequent wear.

Extremely comfortable sandal. This is by far the most comfortable sandal I have ever had and it is also a good looking shoe. The sole really cushions the impact of walking. As usual, extremely fast shipping and great customer service from Zappos!

A longer in length shoe than normal for Rockport -
I wear an 11W; this shoe is a 11W but is a little longer than normal. A great shoe, very comfortable, no problems at all.

I like the shoe/sandal a lot. Extremely comfortable and flexible. I like the rear, toe, and side protection. The adjusting straps could be set a little differently... maybe due to the fact that the width seems wider than usual. Very attractive and looks good with a nicer pair of slacks, shorts, or jeans.

This is the best shoe I've ever worn. Barefoot but better. I've had several compliments on the look from women. My only complaint is that I fail to see why Rockport doesn't make these with water-resistant materials. But, the shoes rock!

Rockport sandals are a winner!
I have to wear shoes that have strong heel support and the inner sole has to be removable because I must wear an AFO (ankle foot orthotic).
I am very fond of Birkenstocks but they don't have a removable inner sole.
The Rockport is wonderful except that the Velcro didn't hold very well -- we've fixed it and it is now working well (for the moment).

Not quite what I thought it would be.
This shoe isn't exactly what I thought that it would be after seeing the pictures; it's more sandal-like than I had anticipated. However, it's very soft and comfortable. I have a wide foot and the width seem to be true to size. However, the length was about 1/2-size larger than normal, and I had to return the first pair for a smaller size. It could benefit from a little more arch support.

Most comfortable shoe I've ever worn -
I am always troubled when it comes to buying shoes, so I opt for the good, reliable NEW BALANCE sneaker extra wide. I have five pair of these and I am embarrassed to be seen at any structured function which requires relatively decent shoes. OH... MY GOD... am I in heaven now. My wife found these Rockport XCS leather sandals and I have never worn a more comfortable shoe in my memory. FABULOUS DESIGN, TOTAL WALKING COMFORT, SOLID STABILITY, GREAT LOOK and reasonably priced. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I am now waiting for dark browns. I love you guys and the designer who created this shoe.

 |  | Zappos rocks, you so made my nine year old son’s day. We went looking for new DC shoes last Sunday and spent 3 hours only to find out that his shoe size was 6.5 right between boy’s and men's. The stores had no selection in either. We were told by one salesperson that most boys skip that size so they don't carry many. He was very disappointed, I suggested ordering from you guys that night and he didn't want to wait for shipping. I told him Zappos was quick, but he wanted to try stores again, so we did on Tuesday evening and came home empty handed again. We got online, ordered a pair he liked (there were so many to chose from in the size we needed) at 9:30 that night. Of course he was all about when would they be here, again I told him how quick you are at shipping and that probably Thursday at the latest Friday. He came home from school on Wednesday and they were on the front porch. He was so happy!!! Loved the shoes and can't wait to order another pair. I have told other people how fast they got here and no one believes that is even possible. I don't know how you do it, but thanks so much. You're the best.
