Bought these in the butter. They are made of garment leather, so it's really nice and pliable, not stiff and hard like my Harness boots. Wanted the taller version, but they were gone, so I ordered these. They fit is right on, a little more true to size than some of the other Frye boots I have. Probably narrow for most people, but thank heaven I have narrow feet and it's nice to find shoes and boots that actually fit, and I'm not swimming around in width.

Great boots -
I love these boots. They were hard to get on at first so I thought I would have to send them back. But I put on some smoother socks and used a shoe horn the first few times. Now they are easy to put on and very comfortable to wear. As you can tell from the pictures, they are very beautiful and well made. Great, great Zappos service also.

Good shoe.
I don't buy many shoes, but when I do, I will make sure that I buy a shoe that looks & feels great and will last a long time. I've checked the first 2 off, now only time will tell if I can check the last.
I wear it with thicker/athletic socks so the socks don't slip down as much (as with any boot).

Super cute boots to go with spring dresses + more!
At first I had my mind set on Carson boots, as they came in so many colors, but I was won over by these Veronica Shorties once I tried them on. For me (I'm 5'4"), Carson boots stopped at the biggest part of my calves and made me look dumpy, whereas these boots stopped just below that spot, giving me shape & made my legs look thinner. Since I planned to wear these with spring dresses for that sweet + tough look, these would be perfect! Even my husband likes them, which is a rare feat.

These are the most comfortable, awesome Frye boots that I have ever purchased. This is my second pair, as I am afraid they will stop making them and I won't be able to get them anymore. :)

Gorgeous. Gorgeous. Boot.
So, I ordered this boot to replace another pair of riding boots that I had bought from a so-called "luxury" leather goods company. Those cost $325 with a discount coupon and fell apart within the first month. I came to Zappos looking for something of a higher quality with the same kind of style. I wasn't specifically thinking of ordering a Frye boot but I've always heard that Frye boots are where it's at. My one sort of difficulty in placing this order online was that I wasn't totally sure where the boot would hit on my leg. I have a very large calf so I need to be careful about boot height.
I measured the 8-inch shaft height on my leg with a bare foot, but it's hard to know exactly where to start from (the floor? the approximate top of the low heel of the boot?) I wished that there would have been a picture of someone WEARING the boot. It was the first time I'd ever thought of a feature where Zappos may not be exceeding my expectations! I searched to find images of people wearing the boot and based on those, I decided to order. Still, when it arrived, gorgeous as the boot is, I wished it went like one inch higher. As it is, it stops JUST below my calf and is very loosely encircling that part of my leg (which I like).
The boot is BEAUTIFUL; the dark brown color is just to die for, the perfect shade of rubbed dark brown. Everything about it was so beautiful, in fact, that I knew I had to keep it, even though it doesn't exactly replace the earlier boot I had to return. So, I kept them and I am wearing them today. They are REMARKABLY comfortable and I am getting used to the idea of the lower height. My main thing is to wear boots with dresses (which I am doing today) and I wasn't totally sure this would work but as I go about my business today I am getting lots of compliments and when I catch a glimpse of the overall silhouette in a window or mirror, I feel it is working. And who knows, with Zappos easy return policy, maybe I will try the taller version of this boot (the Veronica Slouch) and see if it works with my large calf.
As always, a splendid experience shopping from Zappos, with incredibly quick delivery and outstanding service. LOVE YOU ZAPPOS. PLEASE TEACH THE REST OF THE WORLD TO BE JUST LIKE YOU.

I just received these boots, and I am hooked! I have several pairs of Frye's, and have been a Harness boot addict for several years. I bought a pair of Engineer's, but the top (especially the back) of the boot had rough spots that rubbed my leg raw and bleeding. These Veronica's are fabulous! The leather is much softer and of higher quality than any other Frye boot I've worn. Sleek and sophisticated look and these are now my go-to boots! Thanks Zappos!

Love this boot!
Love the different olive green color in a boot. Frye boots run a little larger than shoes, so 9.5 feels good even though I might wear a 10 in some shoes. Quality is good...leather on shaft of boot very soft and on foot, firm. Will be a bit more comfortable once broken in. Very unique - I finally have my first pair of Frye boots! - COOL!

The boots were a present for my daughter. They are beautiful and comfortable - she put them on Christmas day and has worn them every day since. The leather is soft, warm to the touch; they are not stiff and shiny. The boots were true to size - no need to order up. Zappos service was excellent!

A rare miss from Frye -
First of all, I LOVE Frye boots! I got the patent ones in slate. The leather was not of the quality I've come to expect from Frye. They’re decent looking boots, but I didn't find the style to be particularly versatile. Great with leggings and skirts, but the cuff is too high and wide to wear under bootcut jeans. They were REALLY comfortable, but I did end up returning them.

Great boots!
Very comfortable and stylish boot. I purchased my actual size and they fit perfectly. Even around the calf (which has been a problem area for me in the past). The first night I wore them with thin socks and felt some rubbing/ irritation. The next time I wore them (four days later) with thicker socks. Walked around in them all day without any problems. I'm going to get a lot of wear out of these boots - and I'm looking forward to it.

These boots are AWESOME!!! I am a HUGE fan of all things Frye and I was not disappointed with these. They were a bit stiff the first few times and they rubbed on tops of my feet due to my high arches, but after a little breaking in they are comfortable enough to wear all day. They are great with jeans and skirts...either dressed up or down. Perfect! And as always Zappos rocks!

This is the BEST BOOT EVER! Very Cute - not too clunky and very stylish. Love the distressed look. Fits ever so slightly snug - wear regular socks nothing too thick or the boot is too tight.

The best boot ever -
I must say, this is the second pair of shoes I bought from Zaps and it's the best service. About the shoes. The boots are true to size I ordered a size 9 and they fit perfect. The quality of the leather is great. I have purchased Prada shoes and paid a whole lot more and the quality of this leather is wonderful and softens up within a few times of wearing them. I have trouble finding boots with a shaft that is large enough for my ankles and calves - these work! They are comfortable and I am really enjoying wearing them.

Awesome Boot!
I LOVE this boot! It has such great style and the fit is perfect. They were a bit stiff in the foot, so they will need a bit of breaking in. they look SO good, I got compliments on them the first day I bought them. Also, I have bigger calves, and this boot shaft has plenty of room! Highly recommend them, worth every penny.

I love these boots!
These are perfect. They're cute with a casual skirt or with skinny jeans tucked into them. They are totally comfortable from the first time I put them on. I wear them pretty much every day. I've gotten a ton of compliments on them.

I received my boots today!!!! Oh was I pleasantly surprised with how they fit and looked. I felt ready to strut. They were beautifully classy and stylish. Slip in the heels which caused a blister, but bought some mole-skin and put it on the heel and now fine. Love them, a chic derelict look that reminds me of "The Breakfast Club".

These are fantastic!
These boots are beautiful and after a little breaking in, very comfortable. The width feels good on me even though I have a wide foot so I suspect these run a little wide. I can't wait until the weather turns cool. I know I'm going to live in them.

Wonderful! I love these boots. I bought them for a boot to wear while riding on my Harley but they are so comfortable that I wear them all the time. They fit much better then the Frye Square toe boots and look great!

These boots would get a 5 on comfort, but I'm still breaking them in. In another two wears, I guarantee they'll be a 5. Not that they weren't comfortable first time wearing. Had no problem except top of boot rubbed my leg just a little. I love these boots. They look fantastic and my guess is I'm going to wear them all the time.
