Perfect fit! Felt very true to size, very comfortable, no breaking in period at all! Easy to walk in, I walked two miles in them the second day I received them with absolutely no discomfort! I have 13.5 inch calves and they fit great (at size 8 womens) in or out of jeans. The great thing about them is that even if the width is a bit wide for your leg, the opening sticks out all the way around your leg instead of just out the back so it doesn't make your calves look big.

I adore these boots! I bought them in both colors (oh, how I wish there were more) and wore them almost non-stop last winter. They are great for the office, for dancing, for going to the football game, whatever! As soon as the thermometer stopped hitting 100 degrees, I brought them out. haha I have fairly large, muscular calves and these boots are a great fit ... snug but certainly not uncomfortable.I highly recommend them, both for the comfort and the look. It's not unusual for me to receive compliments on them - you will, too. :) Enjoy!!

I *love* boots. Fall is my favorite time of year, partly just because I get to wear my boots. And these are, by far, my favorite, most comfortable, cutest boots that I own! The straps and little heel make the boots even more adorable, and yet they are still extremely comfortable (even with a heel, most heeled boots are NOT comfortable). These are easy to walk in, fit my calves, which are not super skinny, and go well with absolutely everything. I LOVE these boots.

So nice to find boot that fit! At 5'2" and 120 pounds, I have an athletic build. On top of that, I was blessed with large calves, so no matter how in- or out-of-shape I am, my legs look muscular. For that reason, I have a hard time finding tall boots that I can even get on. These took a little effort. I measured and my calves are over 14 inches around, but the size 7 fit! I can wear as thick socks as I want, so no threat of blisters ever because I'm usually a 6-1/2, but they look awesome on. They're a little slouchy around the ankle, and it works. They can easily dress up or down, and turn heads either way. Thanks!

Very wide leg. I love the pump version of this boot. I wear them all of the time and have walked miles in them without discomfort. I was excited to see a boot with the same base, but the calf is huge! I felt like it made my leg look heavy and there were inches of room around the ankle. I have medium width legs, but have had more problems with the calves being too wide than narrow with boots. If you want a boot that fits your leg, these are not it, unless your calf or ankles have had trouble fitting into other boots in the past.

Very nice boots -
I was looking for any Red/Burgundy boots and I found these ones. I thought I gave them a try. Once I received the package. I fell in love with them. It's soft and easy to walk. It's also light weight. Color is not too bright. I was thinking to use them to spice up my boring black winter dress or color.

I'm normally a 7.5 and I went with the 8 in these. To add to the calf size discussion, mine measure 14 inches at the widest part and the boots are snug but comfortable. Also, I second what another reviewer said about the leather; up close, it looks rather cheap, especially considering that the boots aren't. I would expect higher quality leather and question whether it will hold up. Still, I love the look of the boots, and the heel height is perfect!

Great boot for wide feet -
I normally wear wide sizes; Doc Martens are great because their normal sizes fit wider. This boot is very comfortable, and the heel is the perfect height for all day wear. The leather is quite stiff, but not at all uncomfortable, and looks great. I have received many compliments on these!

Very pleased.
Heel: I hate wearing heels (for comfort-reasons) but like the look, so I was pleasantly surprised that wearing these doesn't feel like wearing a heel at all. Calf circumference: I have very small calves and have trouble finding boots that are tight enough. These are still a little big, but way better than other boots I've tried. Look: Surprisingly, the boots look a little cheap, like knock-offs. But I just got them, so only time will tell if they are good quality.

A little disappointing -
The negatives - The leather is quite stiff and the calf was so big it gaped open in the back several inches with jeans tucked in. (I do have skinny legs) The front of the sole is nice rubber like you'd expect from Doc's, but the heel is hard plastic so it's noisy when you walk (like high heels sound). The positive - Fairly cushy footbed, heel height is totally walkable and they seemed true-to-size. My verdict - They went back right away. I can do better for the money and I bet you can too.

Greaaaaat boots! The design is modern and chic. I have regular athletic calves and they fit tightly but comfortable. Exactly what I expected from Dr. Martens and from Zappos! I definitely will keep buying at Zappos.

These boots are so stylish! I get compliments on them all the time. Took a couple of wears to break in. At first they were a little tight around the ankles, but overall a great boot.

I LOVE these boots! They are comfortable for all-day wear and I would recommend these to anyone! They fit snug around the leg (I have thin legs) unlike others that gap, so they are great for wearing with pants and they are so cute with dresses!

Circumference not right -
This boot is bigger around than what it says. I'm having a very hard time finding a manufacturer that has smaller circumference boots to fit my normal legs (11").

The color of this boot is truly pretty. A dark violet. Comfort is good but could be better. Wish the toe box wasn't as round as it is but the heel on this boot is great. Overall, I would recommend this boot.

LOVE this boot!
I love this boot. I ordered the black ones first and I liked it so much, I just ordered the wine color. These boots look GREAT. They are very comfortable and the look is just awesome. An extremely nice pair of boots.
