I've owned this shoe in various sizes and colors for 45 years. It is not the best slipper, but it is like an old friend.

Only wore them once...
I was so happy to finally find some shoes to fit my 12 year old daughter. She is in a size 14 shoe and it's very hard to find a shoe that doesn't look too old for her. These look very nice on her, but she wore them to a school dance and got a blister. She does not have a narrow foot, but the part that goes over the top of her foot is too loose. She can't wear them.

I buy these but they do not last long. They are not made as well as the Daniel Greens I know from years ago, but they are comfortable and fit my foot. I like the open toe.

Many years of comfort -
Over the last 10 years I have enjoyed wearing Dormie slippers after many years of good comfort I would order another pair.
Their fit is perfect and the height of the heel is just right for me.

Good slippers -
Love these slippers with one problem . . . the sole bends in the middle when I walk . . . there is no support there and since these are slippers, it is not a major problem . . . took me a while to get used to this but will probably not buy a second pair, will look for another brand. Daniel Green seems to run narrower than indicated-I bought a WW and it is very snug-can't wear socks with them when it gets chilly.

Daniel Green disappointment -
The Dormie has a very good heel height. I expected the narrow material that hugs the foot to stay narrow, but after wearing them for a few days, my toes were out of the front where they were touching the floor. I'm sure this pair is defective, although with a previous pair I experienced the same thing as they got older. I tried a pair that is closed in the front and the back, but the slipper was so flat that I could not wear them. I have flat feet also and those turned into flat useless discards. I wish that Daniel Greene would make a closed toe slipper with the same heel height as the Dormie. I cannot wear a higher heel than the Dormie.
Other shoes recommended by reviewer: When you hhave flat, long, and narrow feet, youare mostly out of luck.

Good Old Brand -
They fit nice, however, I think I could have used a little wider width on my right foot. It's not the slipper, it's me (since foot surgery many years ago). I'm keeping them and walking around the house. I feel they'll give in a little and all will be fine. Original pair of 10WW was way too big, so I went with a 9-1/2W.

Shoe is comfortable, attractive and appropriate for my age. Shade of gold is wonderful, allows you to wear it on different occasions.

Soft and durable -
I love these shoes. Some people use them as slippers, I use them with white pants and fancy top and they look just fine that way. Too nice to wear as slippers...I have been purchasing all my shoes from Zappos for the past years and I would not go anywhere else. Got rid of all uncomfortable shoes and am sticking to Softspots.

Best slippers ever -
I bought a pair of these earlier this year after not finding them for several years. I love to wear a slipper I can step outside in and these are just perfect. They are so nice, I bought this pair to give someone else and she loves them, too.

These were actually for my Mom and Aunt who have used the style for years and love them ... and they love the new slippers!!!
I've even given in and am wearing these slippers after years of going bare foot ... still do on carpet but we're in a wood floor home and slippers are useful in cold weather.

My Feet's Comfort after a Hard Day -
This is my third pair of Daniel Green's Dormie. They
are extremely comfortable and as soon as I get
home each day I take my shoes off and put them on. I wouldn't be without them.

Very nice flats -
I have a size 12 shoe and I got these in 12N and they didn't look like water skis at all! They looked really nice. I got them in pewter because I was in a wedding and needed comfy reception shoes. These matched my dress and were perfect. Zappos customer service is outstanding- I ordered these on a Fri night and got them the following afternoon! Kudos to Zappos!

Excellent last minute gift -
A gift for my aunt who has been a Daniel Green fan for as long as I can remember, I ordered her regular shoe size and it was a perfect fit. The slipper was classy and comfortable, as expected; I can only rave about the customer service - it arrived by Christmas Eve as promised. I would recommend Zappos to anyone who has internet access - it's the best! I made the purchase through Upromise, which means I get credit from my purchase to that account. They have not made this credit to date (three weeks), but I am sure it is forthcoming.

I would like to see and feel this shoe in leather because our feet are older and need more comfort. We pay for the leather and should not receive PLEATHER (leather dose make a better Shoe).

Slightly new style -
The insole is now more of a 'Pillow Top' style,
there is no stitching around the inner edge as
shown in the photograph. The material seems a
little different, as well, less like leather, and more like some sort of vinyl.
But it is a classic slipper, and still comes in
narrow width, so it will stay on my skinny size
nine AA feet. This is still, to me, what a slipper should be. But the old style was better!

Great housework slipper!
I stumbled upon these by accident on Zappos, and after reading some reviews I was convinced these are the same slippers my Mom had in the early Seventies. I ordered a pair for myself and my mother - they are great and we both love them. We got the pewter color - actually kind of chic!
They are extremely comfortable and just perfect for when you are on your feet a lot - cooking and/or cleaning and the rubber sole makes them great for going out to the basement, garage, getting the mail, etc.

Dormie Review -
Am very disappointed with this slipper. Have been wearing this slipper for many years and this is the most uncomfortable for me. They look good but difficult to walk in them as the sole does not give at all. Instead of all "man made material" if they at least had a leather sole as they used to would make them better.
