Just got these bad boys in the mail. I love the depth in the leather color (tan harvest) and the overall look of the boot. Very rugged, well constructed as usual for Doc's. Fit is comfortable for a boot, not quite as comfortable as Doc's oxfords, but not bad. My only complaint is the upper edge is a simple termination of the shoe's leather without the padding of a hiker style boot. Like another reviewer said, wear some thicker socks and you'll be just fine.
Other brands recommended by reviewer: GBX for tough looks, but they\'re not built that well.

Man, just received my Aikens today and this is one great shoe. It's only been a day wearing my new Docs, but as with all my other Martens. . . they're fantastic. . . especially these. I wanted Docs when I decided to buy another pair, but I wanted this style and I did not think Docs came in this style. I searched Red Wing and a lot of others which I new this style came in, but I kept coming back to Docs and there they were. Ordered right away and I am totally happy. No complaints, typical break-in time, heavier weight cotton socks would be best with this classy boot. This is definitely 5 stars all the way. You like the style. . . then buy it. You won't be disappointed. Thanks Doc and thanks to the Zappos.

First pair I ordered were about half size smaller, so I ordered the next size up and that pair fit...I must say Zappos return policy is great...called customer service and they took care of everything...got my order the next day!...I will order again with confidence. Thanks.
