Absolutely amazing -
I own many pairs of docs. But these are by far the most comfortable. Amazingly soft and cushioned sole right out of the box, and the leather isn’t too bad to break in. not stiff at all, it had felt like I’d already worn them in for a month when I tried them on, ready for aggro. a month into wearing them, they've broken in nicely. Although very warm. Definitely not a summer boot.

The best boots -
These Dr Marten's Vintage 1914s are the best boots around. I have been wearing Dr Martens since the 1980s and will not be without at least one pair. I prefer the leather and craftsmanship of the English made boots. The Vintage are a little more expensive, but well worth it. Also, if you have high arches, get insoles. Zappos is great, they ship fast, with no hassles. Thanks.

Versatile Boot -
I love my doc marten's vintage 1914's. They take about a week to completely break in, but well worth the wait! Once broken in, those are your shoes, they fit perfectly. You could wear them with pretty much any style pant. A good choice!

These Docs are awesome, true to size. I gave em a 5 for comfort just because I know what is to come. But for any of you who haven't worn docs before, they take some breaking in. I recommend some thick socks in the beginning, to help with those inevitable blisters. Trust me though, they're well worth it. They'll turn into the comfiest boots ever.

Kickin' boots, well worth the price -
These are my first pair of Docs, and man I feel incredible wearing them. like others have said, takes a LITTLE bit of time to break em in but by second wearing they were fitting much better and by third they felt like I owned them for years. The cherry red color is an amazing addition to the style, and yeah, when I wear em, I feel a little taller, a little stronger and definitely stride a little faster. Last but not least, ZAPPOS IS THE BEST...got these in 2 days, perfect shipping, perfect condition.

These shoes are a great thing. And even though the price may seem like a bit much it is not because my sister also has the same pair and has had them for six years and the only thing she has had to replace is the shoe laces. The only bad thing is that with any leather product you may get small blisters on your heels or "pinkie" toes until they get worn in and stretched to your foot.

My 1st pair of Dr.Martins -
For my first pair of Dr.Martins, the 16 eyelette 1914 has been a great choice. The cherry red looks far superor to the flat black, they are extremely comfortable and they fit wonderfully. Thank you Zappos.com. I will definitely order from you again.
