Best NB shoes I've ever had -
I just ordered these shoes around 6pm last night and they're already here! I love you Zappos. I've had 3 other pairs of lower end NB all terrain shoes before and I decided to try some more expensive ones for a change. Boy, does it make a difference! I usually wear a 14 because my foot is so wide, it makes it hard to find a 13 4E, but Zappos had them and they feel great. These shoes have a neat little tightening mechanism that makes the shoe snug all around when you pull the laces tight, making a truly excellent fit. I am very impressed with these shoes and the insanely fast service from Zappos. I will definitely be buying all of my running shoes from them in the future. Also, I should mention that I have extremely flat feet and NB shoes usually don't have those annoying arch support blobs in the shoe which really hurt my foot. So, if you have high arches and need those, this shoe does not have them (a very small one if anything).

Great Shoe for WIDE Feet -
I have very wide [sensitive] feet, especially in the toe box. These shoes were comfortable right out of the box, with no break-in period necessary! I first wore them for about one half an hour indoors, and the next time for roughly 7 hours on a 34 mile endurance hike, over some very rough terrain. They are also well ventilated, and my socks were not that sweaty when I changed them at the checkpoints. I love these shoes! I'm going to buy a second pair for later use [in case the model changes].
Also, I switched to the MT811 all-terrain running shoe after the terrain leveled out, with great results as well [for roughly 5 hours of road/trail]. Both shoes fit well from the moment that I put them on [and considering the very limited initial use], and I HIGHLY recommend them for anyone that suffers with the affliction of very wide feet like mine!

The first thing you will notice about these shoes are that they are so breathable. You don't even need to run to feel this. The cushioning is excellent; you wear these all day. Although I would not do it because I always find NB's ugly.

Finally...
I have the world's craziest feet: high-arched, extra-wide and only 8 to 8 1/2 in length. After being assured by my colleagues that I indeed do not have congenitally-maligned feet, I went to Zappos to find a pair that suites me. Few shoes appear when I put my foot "specs" in, but these baby's popped up and ordered them. Size 8 4E is not a size you normally come across. They were available and they feel like a dream. Light, cushioned, "airy", very comfortable. Also rugged and well-built. Great for light runs and cross training (I don't trail run, but most shoes fall apart with any activity). Highly recommended for those with alien feet like myself. Thanks Zappos for a speedy order and for the excellent runner's guide. No more over-pronating for me, no more sore ankles/knees. Woo-hoo...

These shoes do not live up to my experience with New Balance products. If there was a way to return them, I would. When running, you can feel the road under your feet. This is not the case with all the other New Balance shoes I have on the shelf. My previous NB trail running shoes were fantastic, but these just don't measure up.

The EE width is exactly what I needed (and not loose at the heel either). The extra room in the toe box makes all the difference for these tired feet. Right out of the box, my grouchy old tootsies turned happy. Eccos used to be my favorite, but ECCO must have changed their patterns. New styles are too narrow for my comfort anymore. So, glad I tried the NB's.

Finally shoes that are wide enough for my feet! They are comfortable when jogging, though I recommend wearing them some to break them in for your feet before running.

This New Balance sneaker is very comfortable. I need a shoe with a lot of pronator support and this shoe works well. There is great ventilation; you can actually feel the wind blow inside your shoes, which is awesome on hot days.

I purchased these for a friend who has a heel spur. He also works 10 hours a day on his feet. These help with providing comfort and cushioning to his feet.

Very Good, but not superb -
I shouldn't complain, because finding a 13B in ANYTHING is difficult, and I'm very thankful Zappos stocks as many narrow-sized shoes as they do. Basically the Brooks Addiction 6 is my gym-shoe, and I wanted a shoe for walking, running, hill climbing, etc. The Propét Stability Walker I initially bought didn't fit well, so I returned them and upgraded to this New Balance. Out of the box, they're pretty comfortable, very light, and breathe easily. I'm sure they'll be a good shoe for the SoCal environment. They do feel just a bit small in length, and I sure do wish shoe companies would get the idea that narrow feet usually have higher arches, because the arch support is (as marked) moderate, but not nearly as great as the Brooks. Still, overall, it's a good shoe for a hard-to-fit foot. I'd have bought another pair of Brooks, but they don't seem to have the rugged soles that the New Balances do. Take note, Brooks!

Great shoes, though a little drafty -
These shoes are very comfortable and offer better than average support. I'm not a runner so they're used as an every day wear shoe. The fabric upper is very breathable though on colder, very windy days they seem a little drafty, so stick to your boots for those days.

New Balance's MT811 -
I haven't bought a pair of "plain" running shoes in a while - I've been buying "waterproof" shoes to try to keep my feet dry during weekend activities. So it was a delight to wear nice, light, breathable running shoes again.
These 811 are very light, and I have room to move my toes despite my square shaped feet. Very comfortable right out of the box.

These shoes are great! Perfect for anyone with wide feet looking for something stylish. They accommodate my orthotics and sorbathane inners without crowding my foot. The heel cup fits perfectly without being too snug and the toe box is just the right width! As usual, Zappos had these out to me in record time with overnight shipping upgraded absolutely free. I love the tread on these shoes too! Very aggressive and thick...Looks like it'll be awhile before these things wear down!

NB MT811 - Just what I was looking for!
Got the MT811 in blue/grey. Look great and feel even better. Very light and the mesh upper breaths great. Not too much arch, which I've found to be a problem with my feet on other brands. The lacing system is tough to keep real tight, but I'm not running mountain trails, so it's not a problem.

This shoe is great for hiking or even riding on a mountain bike. The fit is amazing, as well as the colors. The shoe has a great traction on the bottom and I like that because it can lock into the pedal. The laces stayed tied as well. They are not too heavy as well. The top of the shoes with the mesh provides great breath ability and again these shoes are not very heavy. I love these shoes.

I've been buying NB 13 ee shoes because they've always fit well; this shoe is much wider and has lighter construction than other NB shoes. My feet slide around in them.

I've taken these out in the Hollywood Hills a few times now, and overall they are pretty comfortable with good traction, but probably a bit over-priced from the competition. I've bought Avia and Nike in the lower price range that are equal to, if not more comfortable.

If you like to continually stop to tighten your shoes during a run, then this is the shoe for you. NB did a design "improvement" on this shoe by cutting down on the number of eyes you have to lace up with, thru loops, not eyes in the vamp itself, and trimming back the vamp. The result is a big gap over the tongue with not enough lace crossings to snug the shoe. The lace and shoe loops and material stretch continually while running, resulting in a constant loosening, and, therefore, stopping to tighten up. At least that's what happens after the first dozen miles of break-in by this big, long-time runner, who loved the original 801's.
Another flub in the once-vaunted NO 800 trail series. Wait for the 812 . . . or buy the re-issued 801's.

If you were a fan of the 810, then you'll definitely like the MT811 as well. I'm happy that NB now offers 2E in black. These shoes accommodate my orthotics, and are very comfortable for someone like me who has high arches. Another fine American built shoe from NB.;)
