This is a good looking shoe, but it is not as comfortable as my old Rockports are. Seems a bit tighter and stiffer. Wish I'd bought two pair of the New Balance M8505 instead of one of each. Also, Rockport seems to be slipping in quality of build.

Shoes are fine except the right one rubs my ankle raw on extended walks. I have returned to my old RocSports Walker instead of the Navigation.

A Little Too Wide -
Just a little too wide. Be careful if you are like me and have a somewhat narrow foot. My width is about a “C ½” so the normal “D” width is usually fine. This shoe is about a half size wider than advertised and then it stretched. I had to put inserts into the shoes to allow proper closing. Other than the size it is a fine shoe and breaths very well for a “leather type” shoe. Recommended if you watch the width.

Disappointed -
I have wide feet and plantar fasciitis. I had hoped this shoe would have lived up to its description. The shoe is wide enough, but lacks the arch support.

Walking is a pleasure except...
I purchased this shoe because my last walking shoe from Zappos was not available in my size... weird. The new (white) walking shoe fits nicely, but there are a couple of odd things: 1) it creaks! 2) it's stiff (but that may be because it's new).
Otherwise quite happy with:

Great walking shoe -
I bought these shoes for a dear retired gentleman who walks everyday about five miles on a beach path. He was having a hard time finding shoes in the stores so I suggested he try Zappos. We chose these shoes together online and he started wearing them the day they came. He says they are very comfortable and great for walking.

Comment of grandson for whom I bought the shoe. He has a w i d e foot and is almost impossible to fit with cool shoes that a twelve year old likes.

 |  | Hello! I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who works for Zappos. As of yesterday, I've ordered from Zappos five times over the last couple years. I usually get my orders the next day, and the longest it's taken has only been two days, and I think that's just awesome! At my job I work in customer service and think it's very important to like to help people in a job like that. I can tell Zappos employees must love their jobs because everyone does such great job. With every one of my orders, it only proves there really isn't a better place to shop on line, (or shop anywhere, in general)!
