Not roomy enough in the calf. Couldn't even zip it up halfway. Don't bother buying if you have large calves. If you want an MBT boot and have big calves, get the short boot at Zappos. They're great!

I exchanged my normal size MBT in this boot for the next size up. I just felt I needed a bigger toe box. The size up, fit perfectly. I cannot wear high heels because of my arch. This boot allows me to look fashionable while giving me the comfort I need. I also want to give Zappos the best compliment I can give for customer service: one word 'Nordstrom'. If I am treated like the customer service that is legendary at Nordstrom, then I will purchase from Zappos again with confidence.

I wear these boots just about every day, minus a few days of MBT sandals in the summer. In fact, I have been wearing MBTs exclusively for the past couple of years and plan to never go back to "regular" shoes. I have problems with the muscles in my legs, so MBTs give me a more normal gait and make walking long distances actually fun. Yes, they are pricey but like other reviewers with medical conditions, I consider them "investments" in my health (heck, my simple plastic orthotics cost $600, so what's a couple hundred more, only wish insurance would cover them, too!). Plus they are high quality and I like the style. I do wish they were a bit less clunky and the shaft were an inch or two higher. Also, the zipper crimps at the top of my first pair of Tambos were not tough enough and eventually came off, allowing the zipper to unravel rendering it unusable. The replacement pair from MBT had much more substantial crimps. Not sure if they did that just for me or if MBT got other complaints and fixed the design.

MBT Tambo boot -
My chiropractor recommended these boots for me and I'm a guy! He said that because of the amount of arthritis in my whole spine,hips and ankles (he said tall shaft would help support ankles and increase circulation in my cold feet) these boots were my only solution to arthritic problems other than surgery.I thought they were somewhat pricey but after the first week I knew I had made the best health investment of my life!I cannot thank him enough.I thought that they were small at first (shoehorn is a must for first 48 hours of break-in wear) but after break-in they are the most comfortable thing I have ever worn!My neurosurgeon said I should be able to go without surgeries for maybe ten more YEARS! Thank you MBT!
Other brands recommended by reviewer: The brown if it was regular leather instead of suede.

I have another pair of MBTs that are very comfortable. I wish these boots had been. I didn't buy them from Zappos--first mistake--and I wore them outside so wouldn't have been able to return them anyway. The leather is very hard, and I got major blisters in my ankles after just one day. Very disappointing for such an expensive boot. What a waste of money.

These are wonderful!
I only wear MBT because of a back problem, so I am very glad that MBT is making more stylish shoes and now boots. Because of the height of the sole, the shaft looks shorter than it really is. These are normal height boots. The fit is about one size small, so order larger size, otherwise these are wonderful. I just wish they would make brown leather for women and not just brown suede.

Love, love, love Zappos. Of course got the boots very quickly and the boots are fabulous! Very comfortable, good fit and very stylish. No lining so they would not be appropriate for snowy winters but definitely good for in- between winter days.

Perfect marriage of MBT workout and fashion!
These are great boots in EVERY respect for women with 15" calf circumference maximum--i.e. there is still hope for wearing a tall boot for those of us who can no longer zip up the standard 13" wide boots designed for ladies with skinny calves. At first, there is some struggle with zippering up, but in a couple of weeks it gets easier. True, one boot gave me a blister the first day, but I put on a "advanced healing blister care" bandage over it and was able to wear my boots painlessly the next day...and every day ever since. It's been a week since the bandage came off--and no more blisters! The comfort and MBT instability benefits are unsurpassed! And the look of the boot is spectacular. MBT and fashion lovers, rejoice!

I love these boots!
I ordered the black boots for work and they were so comfortable that I ordered the brown ones for the weekend! Of all the MBT styles, I thought that these were the most trendy (and less strange) looking - and I love them because I can walk in them all day! I will say though that I didn't follow the instructions and wore them for a 15-hour day the first time and I did get a blister on my heel. Since that healed though, they haven't bothered me at all. The blister was definitely worth it because they provide a lot of ankle support and I had a stress fracture awhile back and needed the support. As for how they fit, I normally wear a 7 and when I got these boots in a 7, I thought they might be a little too small. I then ordered the boots in 7 1/2 and they were way too big! If you feel like the boots are just a little small (the MBT people told me that they are supposed to feel like they fit a little smaller than your normal shoes), they recommended you take out the MBT inserts and put in your own and you'll have a lot more room. I did this with my black pair, but didn't need to with the suede pair. I got my inserts from another store and they let me walk around in my MBTs with the inserts until I found the right pair.

I feel lucky to own these boots!!!
These boots are beautifully made and feel great on. They fit like a glove and work my booty and legs... couldn't ask for more!!! I have several pairs of MBTs from lace up to velcro to these gorgeous boots. I love them all. I am a 9 1/2, but ordered up to a size 10. It makes a difference in the sport shoes especially... reduces the chance of blisters on your heels! You will love, love, love MBTs! They are all great... the boots take your workout to the office and I will take any opportunity I can to get a bit of a workout in. Oh... these shoes work out the abs, too! You will feel it in your stomach! I can't recommend MBTs enough... try them and you will love them like I do. I wear them everywhere!!!

A couple of days ago, somewhat against my better judgment, I wore my new Tambo boots for the first time going to a show in the NY Botanical Garden...they really looked good with my outfit…and walked for hours! Guess what, wore them for 7 hours and NO PROBLEM! Note that I am used to wearing nothing but MBT footwear except for the few times I have dress formal or nautical!

MBT Tambos -
I received my MBT Tambo's this morning and unfortunately have already repacked the box for return. Although the boot looks great, as indicated in another post, the shaft of the boot is very narrow over the calf area. While I was able (with much struggle for fear I might break the zipper) to get the zipper over my calf, it was extremely tight and uncomfortable. I am petite and don't have usually large calves. Also be mindful that the boot is slightly tight in the footbed/toes (I usually wear a size 7 - I tried them on with a not-too-thick ankle sock and my foot/toes felt like they were crushed. I have also experienced that with the black high athletic sneaker (which runs tighter than the white version of the same sneaker).

I love MBT shoes but they really have never been very stylish. These boots are very fashionable and look equally good with either pants or skirts, short or long. I have the black leather ones. The leather is of fine quality and the boots are very well crafted. The length is perfect. They are the same size as my MBT sneakers a size larger than my usual 71/2. The width feels a bit wide and I use athletic anklets over my thin tights or hose. Great for NY winters. I'm very tempted to get the brown suede.

I like the funky and stylish look of these boots. They are also extremely comfortable compared with regular boots. Because I am recovering from foot injuries, I can only wear shoes that fit like a sneaker. These do! My main complaint is that they are a little loose in the heel, so I have gotten blisters. I hope that once I wear them a few times, my heel will get used to it. I have worn them twice and received compliments from friends and strangers each time.

I have MBT walking shoes and was so excited for the boots. I splurged and ordered them, only to get them and find that they would not zip up over my calves! I am 5'3" weigh 125 lbs and do not consider myself abnormally built. I was very disappointed.

MBT great style?????
I have been waiting to buy a pair of MBT's until I knew I could actually leave the house and really wear them because the style has been evolving from the start! Great job MBT designers! These boots rock (really). They are, as is often mentioned seemingly 1/2 size small, but I like to wear a thin sock so my 7 will be fine for me. A very easy daytime boot. They are not too big in the calves which I was worried about! Have only worn them around the house as it is August and the brown suede is not quite in season. I love the way they feel. I am going to have to get a sporty pair as well because I really want to join the "anti-shoe pro-body" movement, when i am not wearing heels for a night out.

 |  | Dear Zappos, My friend Tim (Concord OH) told me you were THE place to buy shoes and boy was he right! I returned the one pair of New Balance 608's today at the post office. When I filled out the return form online last night, I also ordered another pair in 4E and it arrived at 3:30 pm today! WHAT SERVICE!!! I will be keeping this pair as they fit great!
