I bought both my son & daughter a pair of the Arubas for the summer and they have wore them non-stop! They do run about a half sixe large, but they were still wearable so we\'ll get two summers out of them, however my daughter has a narrow foot so she has to wear them on the tighest buckle, which in turn means there\'s alot of strap hanging on the side. Also. they do tend to show wear easily. Both kids were able to get them off and on themselves. We have gotten a lot of use out of these but think I\'ll try another style in leather next time.

The shoes were gorgeous. It is a very comfortable shoe, but if your kid has little bit chubbier feet, like my daughter, I strongly recommend to go with 1 size higher. The strap was little bit too tight, but it was still great and my daughter likes it, too.

These are cute, seemingly comfortable, and well made. We wear them a lot, but I do have a few drawbacks to share. The first is that the buckles deprive my daughter (2) to learn self sufficiency; I have to put them on every time. The second is that the back of the heel flares out making it hard for her to navigate down stairs (she's still learning). Thirdly, the soles of my daughter's feet have been itching and peeling ever since she started wearing these. In the end, I wish I'd waited a few years before getting this type of shoe. But, we own them, and we like them, so we wear them lots.

Great for Orthotics!
My daughter has special needs and wears braces and these fit perfect! She can wear them with the braces and without! She had foot pronation and these work awesome. Her braces go up to her ankles and the Birki Arubas are a perfect fit!

These little sandals are the cutest! I got them in the blue color for my daughter. She is in a 5.5 now, and these are a "6"...I do think they are a little bigger than a traditional toddler 6...but that's good because she will be able to wear them longer. They are really soft on the inside so they don't rub on little feet. Great for the beach and for the summer!!

Fabulous -
My daughter loves these sandals! They were the only pair of shoes we brought with us on a recent trip to the islands and they were fabulous! The purple and blue flowers went with everything she owns and they were wonderful on the beach. When they got sandy, we just rinsed them off and left them out to dry - which they did very quickly. The sizing is great as well. She should be able to get two seasons out of them which is a great deal for the money. I would highly recommend these Birkis!

 |  | I want you to know how pleased I am that my dad received his shoes so quickly! He got them today. I am amazed! He is a patient at the VA hospital in Denver. He is a WWll combat veteran who lost his leg after stepping on a land mine. Recently, he was taken to the VA hospital because no one at his present home could care for him. He was sick, malnourished, and to add insult to injury, could not use his prosthetic leg because it caused a sore on his amputated stump. To shorten a long story, he had no shoes with him with which to begin learning to use his new prosthesis. I ordered them Saturday as soon as I hung up talking with him and he received them today. Now he can begin the long journey to regain his stride and health. He will be returning to the east coast of Virginia to be with family.
