I do not normally participate in reviews, HOWEVER, these boots are the BEST I\'ve ever come across, so much so I bought them in the brown as well. My feet are very demanding and these boots make them sing! Soft, great heel height without being heels,great soft leather and true to size. Just the BEST! Then there is the Zappos! service, YIKES! I sat and ordered the second pair on a Thursday evening (8PM) and received an email indicating a compimentary shipping upgrade Thanks!). Them boots were at my door THE NEXT day at 12 NOON! Amazing is an understatement. Zappos! has me as a loyal customer. I can\'t recommend these boots and Zappos!enough!

I love these shoes. Comfortable right out of the box. The leather is soft and will have no problem forming to my foot (not that there is any need for that). The heel is perfect for someone like me who does not care for heels. I will note that I am a size 9 and ordered a size 9 and had to return them for an 8 1/2. My heel was floating around in the 9 and I could fit three fingers down the back of the shoe at the heel. From the other reviews I had wondered if they were mismarked because there were no other complaints of size. I have another Born tall boot that I wear a 9 in and it fits just fine. Also there is this little bump thing in the arch and if you have a flat arch this may be uncomfortable for you.

I really like these boots. However, I had to stretch the tops of the boots to get my foot in. Once that was achieved and I could get my foot to rest on the sole, these boots became my favorite. The leather is supple, the fit is a true size (I wear a size 10 M), and they are great looking.

This is the second pair of Rascals for me! Dealing with Zappos is amazing and the boot is so comfortable and easy to wear that I got it in brown and black! I wear them all the time. Thanks!

These are great boots! They are very comfy! I can wear them all day and my feet don\'t even hurt! They look really good with jeans. Even though other reviewers that I read said they looked too westerny, they don\'t look like a full on cowboy boot, just a faded square toed boot.\r\n

I love these boots! They are great looking, very well made as Born usually is. I wear and 9.5 and it was perfect. I have bad feet, but was able to put them on and wear them immediately. I love Zappos. I seldom buy shoes anywhere else. I live in a very rural area and can usually get them the next day and if the shoes don't work, no big deal, just send them back for free and they credit you very quickly. I've tried other online wannabes and they just don't measure up to Zappos in selection and ease using their website. I honestly have never had a bad experience with these folks.

I am very impressed with the shoes as well as Zappos. The shoes are incredibly comfortable. I had borrowed my friend\'s for a trip to Vegas. The airline lost my luggage and I had to walk around for 2 days in these shoes! SO comfortable! I had to buy a pair for myself.

I love Born and wanted to like these, but had to return them. These boots don\'t slide on easily and need to be tugged on, but the loop at the back is flimsy and I was concerned it wouldn\'t hold up. The arch support inside is oddly shaped and hits the arch at an odd angle, rather than cushioning and supporting it properly. The soles are also thin, and once cold weather sets in, you\'ll feel the pavement through these. If these had only been more substantial and better made, I would have kept these.

I put these on and went straight to a school event that had me rushing up and down stairs and across the campus in the dark, it was as easy as if I was in sneakers. And I have a bad knee, rarely wear much of a heel. They are stable and comfortable as can be. I wear an 8.5 and 8.5 fit exactly. And they look good, in the simplest way. I'm thrilled.

Received these boots today and I should have gotten a whole size larger. They have to go back, although they are very nice. A bit more Westerny than my taste, but really cute.

These boots were my first purchase ever from Zappos and now I am a customer for life! I was looking for a low boot with a low heel with a little western flair. Born Rascal fit the bill to a tee. I ordered my usual size 9 and the boots fit perfectly. I wondered if the 2" heel would be too high (I have trouble wearing heels) but it was comfortable and easy to walk in. And I love the western shape of the heel. Gives me that slight western look without feeling the need to add a 10 gallon hat. The arch support felt a little skimpy for me but I can add more support. I immediately went and ordered these in brown as well.

I took a chance and sized up from 6.5 to 7 since my size was gone, and they seem great. I had no problem getting them on and off, as others mentioned, maybe because I sized up? They seem very comfortable and I look forward to wearing them when I need a bit of a heel with pants. I am very happy with my Born purchases; very good to my poor feet and well made.

These cute boots are some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned! Plenty roomy... almost wondered if I should go down a size but with socks on they just feel very comfortable. Perfect with Jeans.

Totally awesome!
I am an administrator on my feet all day chasing students back and forth... therefore, comfort is very important to me. These boots are extremely comfortable and very stylish! The only problem is that they have a very narrow insert and they are difficult to put on. Once you get past the struggle of getting your foot in the shoe- they are totally worth it!

Best Boot Ever!
This boot is comfortable right out of the box. Fits true to size, and looks great with jeans and casual pants. I plan on purchasing same boot in brown. Also, buying experience with Zappos was A+++.

Born Rascal Ankle Boots: Great but a little hard to get on -
I loved the look of these boots, and especially the heel as they were a reasonable height and wide enough so you wouldn't wobble when you walk. The only problem I have with these is that they are very difficult to get on even with the boot strap in the back. It is almost impossible to get these on without a shoehorn, so please take note that these are not a slip on and off with ease type boot, it takes some time to get them on. Otherwise when you finally get them on they do offer the same BORN QUALITY as you get with any Born Product.

I was looking for a short boot for everyday. This fills the bill. They are a bit snug to pull on at first (could use a zipper) but after a few wearings they are easier to get on. The fit is true to size and width. Ready to go right out of the box! Thanks Zappos!

Super comfy! Feels so good on my feet, I don't even change out of them into sneakers to walk the dog. They look great with jeans. Just a little difficult to get in and out of, but once they're on, you forget you're wearing them!

Terrific - These comfortable boots are becoming a wardrobe staple because they have a little bit of a heel but are still comfortable for many hours. They are a little Western looking but still make a pair of jeans look more dressed up.

Cute boot, but a little stiff. I did not like the color or style once I received them. I purchased the brown pair, and the toe part was very different in color from the rest of the boot. Not worth the price, they just did not do much for me. They look better online.
