As of now, these boots are perfect for us. Time will tell whether they will hold up. I have now worn them on our morning walks in chilly wet weather, and my feet stayed dry and comfortable, as I expected. A nice bonus is that they are good walking boots with comfortable insoles and a soft liner that gives a little. The boot fits well, and the design gives me plenty of support. I am recommending Timberland to others who may like this product, but I need to qualify that the walking comfort of these boots is much better than the harder sole of the Timberland boot. These have foam inner soles that provide quite a bit of shock absorption. Zappos customer service was absolutely spectacular, as I had heard it would be.

Best boot on the planet -
If you are looking for a smaller boot that is not too bulky this is it. Water proof, and extremely warm.

Great Boots!
My son loved these boots because they are light and comfortable. He does not like the high boots and these are perfect for him because they provide him with enough warmth for fishing and sledding. They are great for all of his outdoor Boy Scout activities as well because he can get around so easily in them. They are waterproof and made to last as well.

Great, not perfect -
I bought these on the recommendation of a friend who swears by them- he's a plumber who often works outdoors in lousy conditions. During a recent bout of subzero temperatures I was working outside and they came in mighty handy. Salty slush, 6 inch deep snow... the whole nine yards and I was warm and dry throughout. My only complaint is that the top rubs along the back of your calf and mine got a bit irritated. Other than that, great shoe.

Boots are comfortable and just a little stiff. Bought them for the winter weather and still waiting for snow.

Cute boots but run very small. I am usually an 8 and the 8.5's had my toes crunched. Order a size up.

Warmth and comfort -
My son received these boots as a gift. Just being able to find a pair of boots in his large size is a miracle in itself. Many times when I am able to find a shoe that fits him, they are usually out-of-date and too old for him. These boots are both stylish and warm. My son needed a boot that will keep him warm and dry as his job requires him to be outside during the winter months. He finds that these boots are just what he needed to get through this cold and wet winter that we are experiencing here in Chicago. I am impressed with the quality of shoes that you carry, and the variety of styles and the sizes. I will continue to be a loyal customer. I bought these boots for my husband for Christmas based on a very positive review from a family member. I wound up giving them to him early due to a snow storm. His feet were very warm and dry!

Trouble finding any faults...
This is my first pair of real winter boots which was necessitated by a fall/winter move to Madison, WI. I was able to give them a good work out last night and tromped around town in knee-deep snow. My feet remained dry, toasty, and planted.
I wear a 10.5 but often have to go up a half-size to get the width right for my feet. I went with the 10.5 and the fit is spot-on.
I couldn't be happier with the comfort level. Most of the boots I've had in the past didn't have much in the way of comfort, but I find myself looking forward to wearing these. There hasn't been any "breaking in" period, as they have felt good from the start.
I was surprised at how light-weight the Bugaboots are. Lighter than a pair of ankle-high Doc's I recently retired. I also appreciate the loop on the back of each boot for a little extra help pulling them on.
All-in-all, I am extremely satisfied with my introductory purchase from Zappos and plan on coming back when I need my next pair of shoes.

Warm and comfortable but not quite a hiking boot -
These boots weren't what I was expecting but I decided to keep them anyway. They are kind of a cross between a hiking boot and a (Sorel-type) snow boot. I have used them a couple times to walk to and from work (about 2 miles each way) in the snow. The boot length was fine but my foot otherwise had a little too much room. I doubled up on the socks and it fit fine. But I wouldn't use these for long hikes. It's still Fall so I haven't had a chance to gives these a serious workout but they seem like they will be fine for stomping around in the snow as long as I'm not hiking too far.

When I filled out the return form online last night, I also ordered another pair in 4E and it arrived at 3:30 pm today! WHAT SERVICE!!! I will be keeping this pair as they fit great!
