I loved the brown ones so much I had to get the black ones. Actually, a friend thought they were the cutest casual shoes and suggested I get them in all colors. I do wear gel insoles with them for extra comfort and super great fit.

This is the second pair of these shoes that I\\\'ve bought. They\\\'re absolutely my favorite shoes. Ever. I wore out my first pair after wearing them every day for two years. The jute on the bottom of them didn\\\'t wear out! They are super comfortable, adorable, and practical with or without socks. I highly recommend them!\\r\\n

I am so glad that I ordered these great shoes. They are really comfortable and I get a lot of people asking where to get these shoes. They are made very well and the tan is very neutral and easy to wear with most of my summer casual clothing. Also extremely light weight.

Ordered these shoes because they are cute and easy on the environment. They look great in the picture and everyone raved about them. I felt good about the purchase. Now that they are here, I really want to love them...I hate them. I hate them so much. They are strictly for sitting in. They provide NO support--no arch support and there's not even much cush on the bottom. If there was a ZERO STARS option for OVERALL and COMFORT, that would be my choice. I gave STYLE a low score, too because I don't want to give Simple any credit for this product--it should be better...Fortunately the insoles are removable. I've bought some Superfeet insoles and will try them... again with high hopes. Don't waste your money on these shoes.

I would classify these shoes as "the most expensive-cheap shoes" I've ever owned. They look fabulous and fit well, but aren't my idea of a quality investment--I bought them directly from Simple and the front stitching started coming out the second time I wore them. They are now worn mostly around the house and for short distance walking because they feel to "fragile" to do anything more in--plus, they aren't supportive enough to be comfortable for all-day walking events. I love Simple's shoes and have purchased many pairs of them over the years, but I wouldn't recommend this particular shoe to anyone.

I love these shoes. Right out of the box, they were SO comfortable. I love how environmentally friendly they are, but there’s one major problem: they start to smell REALLY bad as soon as they get wet at all. I do not have smelly feet, so I think it has something to do with the insole. I love the shoe, but I can’t stand to wear them because the smell is so bad.

Love these shoes--first time on and they were as comfortable as slippers. They are a nice alternative to, and a touch dressier than, the common Birkenstocky styles.

Best travel shoes ever!
I originally bought these shoes to take along on a trip to Australia and they were great shoes to travel with. Since then, they've become one of my favorite shoes for travel, around the house, and even for work. They pair equally well with jeans or skirts. Very comfortable. I think they work well either with socks or without, doesn't make a difference. An all around great shoe.

I love, love these. Great throw on for the summer. Casual but cute for a date with the hubby. I actually bought these from another retail catalog about 3-4 years ago. I never thought to wash them so I can't relate to the other comments here. However, I have worn them continuously every summer since I purchased them and they still look good.

I love this shoe!! It's a great in between before summer officially hits shoe. I have a wide foot and this shoe has enough room. I would order another pair in another color as this shoe is very sturdy compared to other espadrille type shoes.

I've had these shoes for about 5 months and they don't hold up too well. They've stretched out and lost their structure a bit. Also, they are surprisingly not very breathable. I don't wear them too often anymore.

Worn out within two months -
I love the sustainable materials, but they just don't hold up. I hand washed some dirt off these with a mild detergent, and it removed most of the color. Next time, I put them in the washer and they came out OK, but did not survive 10 min in the dryer. Most of the gummy rubber between the sole and upper came out, making the shoe totally unwearable.

Mixed feelings - I love these shoes. They look great with pants, shorts, skirts, anything. I was very disappointed with the lack of durability. The stuff that other reviewers said happened, happened; the buttons came off; the sole pulled away from the shoe, and the braid around the bottom is fraying badly and coming off. I admit that I wore them almost every day during July, August, and September, but I did not wear them in the water or on strenuous hikes. It is a shame that such cute, versatile, and (for my budget) somewhat pricey shoes couldn't maintain their integrity for more than one season. Of course, Zappos customer service is always terrific.

Great casual shoe! I wear these a lot and they are very comfy. I love the bumpy footbed! I would say that they have stretched just a little, but not so much that they are too big--just roomier.

All I wanted was a really unpretentious little canvas shoe to slide on at the beach and go well with a pair of shorts. This is perfect for that. Cute. Easy. HOWEVER, if the manufacturer is going to redesign them for next year, try coming up with the exact same style, only just a little trimmer around the toe box. When I look at my feet, they look like boats… these make my feet look huge. They ARE cute though. I don't think most people look at my feet from straight overhead, but more at an angle, so that allows me to wear them without feeling self conscious. Comfortable though.

These shoes are great. I'm a vegan but I don't necessarily dress vegan because it’s hard to find nice vegan shoes. These fit great even though I got a size eight when I wear a size nine in designer shoes. They are super comfy; I wear them to work where I need to stand for 7 or 8 hours.

2 CUTE!!
I purchased this shoe in plaid -- so cute! It is comfortable, in that it feels like walking barefoot. There is no arch support whatsoever; the outer fabric & innersole conform to your foot. Just like walking barefoot, you can feel the temperature of the pavement and any roughness of terrain through the soles, so I wouldn't recommend for sightseeing or long walks. I suspect that this shoe would not hold up well under daily wear. I purchased these with the understanding that I will use them for a fun fashion statement every now and again, even though they are somewhat expensive. I ordered in my usual size at first, and had to size down.

Oh, My, Gosh...I Love These Shoes!
I just received my Simple's GT Jane and less than 5 minutes later, here I am. These are the most fantastic shoes I have ever purchased. The quality is wonderful, the style is wonderful, and the FIT (true to size) is WONDERFUL. They are so comfortable! I have issues with swelling feet. In the morning, I’m usually an 8 1/2...but by evening, I could be an 8 1/2 wide. So these shoes are perfect. I have a little swelling issue right now, and they slipped right on. But because of the way they're made, when my foot is normal size, they will still fit just fine. I am definitely going to order 2 or 3 more pairs. With all the colors, and patterns available, these shoes will change with all the seasons. I'm so excited to have finally found the most perfect shoe! And I find now after walking around the house in them, that the arch support is quite adequate. And the strap is very comfortable...not too restricting. I'm so happy with these! Thank you Zappos!!!!!

Great looks, not so great quality -
I absolutely love the looks and comfort of this shoe. They are just great looking with anything I wear them with. I am sad though, that the elastic on the button stretched so much in the first month I had them that the shoes started to fall off my feet. I am going to try to fix them, though, because I love them!

Love these shoes! I wear a 12M so cute Maryjane style shoes are often harder to come by. These fit the bill - not as much arch support as my Birkenstock sandals, but that's true of most shoes. :)

Very nice summer shoes -
I love the styling of these shoes. Casual, but not too much so, they go well with both shorts and skirts. I think, however, if you are going to wear them without socks, you might consider buying a half size smaller than usual, as they are a bit roomy. I wear mine every day.

And I don't normally use teen-age expressions, but all I can say is OMG!!!!!!!!!!!! You rock!!!!!!!!!! Last week, I ordered shoes, and received one pair the very next day. The other shoes came the day after that. Sadly, none of them fit, and I had to return them all. Yesterday, I notified you of the return, printed out my FREE return shipping labels, and ordered one style in a different size. Today, I returned the shoes at a UPS store, and by the time I had returned home, my new shoes were on my doorstep! How do you do it?
