They work for me!
I'm a casual tap student taking 2 classes weekly. I wear size 7 or 7.5 street shoe but 8 WIDE in these tap shoes. I have arthritis in toes & sometimes ball-of-foot pain. These shoes are comfy for me & the tap sound is good. I've only worn them in 2 classes & they are fine so far!

Not the Best Replacement -
These shoes are ok but they are meant for more experienced dancers, and they don't hold up too well. I would suggest the Capezio Premieres which these shoes replaced, they are a sturdier shoe and only have one screw so it is easier to adjust the sound. All though they are discontinued you can still purchase them at some local dance shops or you can order them online at some very good prices. I love Zappos but I wouldn't suggest these shoes.

These shoes dont hold up well, especially if you're a hardcore tapper...mine broke within 3 months right before competitions and I had to get another pair which broke soon after that...

Great shoes -
My old Capezios finally wore out and it was time for a new pair. I decided to go for this new style and I'm quite pleased. They sound great on my kitchen floor...can't wait to wear them in class tomorrow! The leather is supple and the toe box is comfy. Not to mention, they got here lightning fast. Zappos rocks. Street shoe sizing worked for me; I was amazed that I didn't have to go through several returns to find the right fit.

They might be a tiny bit on the small side, but I fit into the same size as my regular shoes. The price was right.

I also wanted to send a much belated thank you for a service you did for me about a year ago. At the time, my son broke his leg very badly and we needed some "basketball breakaway pants" to put over it so he could go out of the house, as the cast was quite large. We couldn't find them anywhere, but my mother found them on your website.
