I bought these for all 3 of my children. Ages 6, 8 and 12. These shoes are great. My children go to a private school and have to wear a basically white shoe. This was a great choice. They were able to pick their own style and still be within the guide lines of the dress code. Also, I have a son who is borderline needing wide width and one who has a high instep these where perfect. As far as the arch support I think it is very good.
