These shoes are pretty comfortable for a hiking boot; like anything, they take a little bit to work into. The color is great for not showing dirt. Love the style. I've been wearing mine with thick wool hiking socks and I might have been smarter to buy them a 1/2 size bigger, so think about how you'll be wearing/using them when you purchase!

I have a tough time finding shoes, and have a C/D width 7.5 shoe size. I bought just that in these and while I think they will be comfortable as everyday shoes, they destroyed my feet on the trail. I was coming down from only an 8 miles hike and I had the biggest blisters ever! They were too loose. These shoes run large. I wouldn't buy these again. The bottom treads are already coming off, and I only wore them for a week. They look nice, but I wouldn't recommend them.

Just wished they came in other colors -
I bought these shoes on the recommendation of the knowledgeable sales person at my local sporting goods store (sorry Zappos). She had tried several pairs and loved them, and had hiked in WA with them and they held up well (this is where I am planning a trip). On my first hike, just a mile, they were comfortable, light weight, and gripped the trail well. I wore them to the mall with jeans the other day, and they were great there as well. I am giving up regular sneakers now just to wear these everywhere that I can, due to the comfort. My only regret is that they don't come in a black / charcoal sort of color.

Looks better than it feels -
These are great looking shoes, but they are very stiff and painful. It took me about 1 month of everyday use to break them in, now they are just stiff. No cushion whatsoever. Will never buy this brand again, I will stick with New Balance from now on.
