Great travel shoe -
Took these on a country-wide tour of India and I'm pretty sure I made the right choice. Pros: Very comfortable to walk in for long distances. Able to shed heat to keep your feet dry and comfortable (even with socks). Quickly washable and dry easily to remove gross encounter evidence. Very light and packable. I'm tempted to buy another pair for future trips, but they seem very durable after trekking from the Ganges to Bangalore in Monsoon and high-heat seasons. Traction is superb as well. Cons: Ankle support isn't too solid, obviously - just look at the cut. Not a huge issue, but turned ankles can result on extremely uneven surfaces - Indian roads and sidewalks, for instance. After break-in, toes soften nicely, which should be a pro, but if a cow happens to stomp your foot, it's a con. Just be aware, toe protection is minimal. Great shoe. If you buy these and they feel a touch tight, know that they will stretch to comfort after a few miles of walking.

Better than I expected.
I have high arches and wide feet and thus many athletic shoes are uncomfortable. These are very comfortable. I love the strap, they're easy on and off. I'm trying not to buy a 2nd pair just to have both colors. Haven't gotten them wet yet, but I expect they'll hold up.

Good, but room for improvement -
Comfortable, lightweight, and stylish; reinforced in the right places and allowed to breathe in others. (And great colors--neither obnoxiously loud, nor arbitrarily tinted with neon details.)
My only reservation is the novel "tying" mechanism--a strap that winds through the whole shoe and which tightens with a single clip. On my (wide!) feet, there is an unwieldy amount of slack when the shoe is properly tightened--probably 5"-6" of strap just dangles awkwardly off the side of the sneaker.

 | | Just a quick note to thank your staff for the excellent service on my most recent order. It is very hard for me to find shoes in my size in local stores and almost as hard online, and rarely with the follow up and quality of packaging you provided. I will certainly remain a customer and will tell others about your web site. | | ~ Ursula S. , September 10 2008
