Lightweight Trail Runner -
Lightweight, breathable trail runner. Minimal arch support and as typical with trail shoes, not a lot of cushion front or back. Good grip on loose surfaces. New Balance's new laces resist untying.

I loved the look of these sneakers, but they were way too narrow for my foot. I ordered them in a size 9 with DD width, but they were so tight on my feet when I got them. I was disappointed. I ended up giving them to my partner whose shoe size is one less my own. He is very satisfied with them. So I guess, except for the sizing issues, they're pretty good.

Pretty OK shoes -
I really liked the style of the shoe. The comfort and feel is another story. I am used to wearing Nike shoes of the same sort. Nikes gave great support in the arch, fit well as far as width goes, and had a great wide stable sole. These are things that the New Balance shoes don’t offer to me. Keep in mind that everyone’s foot is different. If you have a narrow foot like me, these shoes may not be the best choice. I am still going to keep the shoes. They fit well enough, even if they aren’t my old Nikes.

Best running shoes I've ever had -
These shoes feel as good on my feet as my slippers. I use them primarily for trail running however; I might need to get another pair to kick around town.

Another "Great Shoe" from New Balance -
This is a very comfortable, light shoe. Great for driving. The tread is definitely non-slip on any surface, even wet grass. You can't go wrong with New Balance, the construction is second to none and the styles are great. Thanks to Zappos, I can find all of their styles online and get them next-day free delivery, which still amazes me. How can they get from Kentucky to the Oregon in less than 24 hours? Thanks Zappos!

Great shoe so far -
Although I haven't done a great deal of off path running since I have purchased these shoes two weeks ago, so far they provide great stability and comfort.

Running cleats -
I took these on a 5 mile run on various terrain (rough asphalt, red clay, sand, mud, thick and thin grass, and some loose rock) and here's how they did: The cushioning was pretty good, I could feel the road/trail, but not to the point where it was uncomfortable. THESE RUN A HALF SIZE SMALL...if you're sensitive in the toe area; I recommend a full size up. The traction was excellent! (These are running cleats more or less...very aggressive tread.) I tore around a couple sandy corners and they dug in and kept me moving. Mud didn't cling on the bottoms too bad. This is a heel-toe shoe. I usually strike midfoot, but these favor heel strike for some reason. They aren't waterproof, or resistant. I went through 2 large puddles and my feet got soaked...didn't hang out long enough to see the drying/drainage factor. They're also a kinda hot, and for not being water resistant that doesn't make sense. They could use some more ankle stability, and a bit more heel cushioning, as the end of the run was starting to get uncomfortable. I didn't get shin splints, and that's a good sign with new shoes. Hope this helps. Overall a decent trail shoe for someone not wanting to get too crazy, who favors sandy turf.
