I bought these for walking on uneven country roads, and for a family trip to Disneyland. They easily accommodate my custom orthotics. At the end of a long day, my feet were still fine, while the younger people with me were putting up their feet. In the wide width, which I need for toe space, the heel is a little bit wide. I haven't tried them for the country walking yet. I would say they seem true to width and perhaps a little long for their size.

I CAN'T BELIEVE I FINALLY FOUND A PAIR OF SHOES/SNEAKERS!
I know it sounds simply crazy, but I have ordered, bought, tried thousands of dollars worth of shoes. Even Zappos, as wondrous as they are, they can only do what the shoes can do. Well, I have a very high instep, very wide foot 4E, very serious foot condition that causes swelling of the foot, toes, and tons of pain and sensitive feet – well, these did the trick. Nice good sized toe box, removable insoles, plus a deeper shoe/sneaker, wide enough and padded enough so I can wear them! I have spent almost three years looking for a shoe - when I bought these I ordered 4 pair of different sizes and one 4E width. Zappos are the only people on this earth that understand and will say "that's ok!". Well, let me tell you, when my husband went to put this sneaker on my bad foot sock and all (many time have to go without) and my entire foot went in and my toes had room and my sock didn't pull and I walked and could stand up in these, he just saw the tears stream down my face. He couldn't believe it and neither could I. There is a heaven on earth and I found them in this shoe with all the help of the angels from Zappos ! I didn't think I was going to be able to go outside again! Thank you Zappos and Drew - thank you everyone. Try this shoe if you need room in a shoe!!! You gave me my life back again! I can't thank you enough for sticking by your customers! My only other dream is to work at Zappos someday to help those like myself who have a hard time finding great shoes! You're the best, always have been and always will be. I've shopped with you long before my foot condition and will forever more. What would your customers do without you!!!

Your service is FANTASTIC! This Drew Motion sneaker is the most comfortable I have ever worn. I have diabetic neuropathy, flat feet and heel spurs and these sneakers are wide enough for my feet. In addition, I like the comfort of the heel, much better than the New Balance which I also ordered. The NB is just fair but it's the only sneaker I can find in my size and width in black so I will keep it. However, the Drew has much more support. I love your service. A shoe store wanted to order a shoe for me and said it would take two weeks; I came home and ordered my shoes from Zappos at night 8:00p.m. and they were at my front door the next morning. Even my whole family is ordering from you now too! I don't know how you do it, but it’s great and your service people are so pleasant!!

When looking at this shoe it said to get a size larger. I did and it still was too small. I ordered a 4E. It was way too narrow. Very uncomfortable. Beautiful shoe though.

Love this shoe!
I can NEVER find a shoe wide enough or with enough room in the toe box and instep, but this may change all that. I haven't had the shoes long, but so far I am as excited as I've been in years about comfort and support in a shoe. I have a trip coming up during which I just might be able to walk for more than an hour or so without having to deal with very sore feet for days afterward. I hope Drew will add additional fashionable women's styles in 4E width and double depth. We don't all want to wear what my young daughters affectionately term "nun shoes."
