Solid boot for casual hiker/sports wear -
Got these boots about two weeks ago and brought them with me to the Gran Canaria to hike in the dunes, they are comfortable and provide good support. They are also extremely warm which is good for being home in Alaska, not so much down here in 80 degree temperatures.

 |  | Unbelievable. I received shoes yesterday from an order I placed last week. I was bummed to find they were about a half size too small. So yesterday evening I placed a new order for the larger size but was bummed because I knew I'd have to wait a few days to receive them. I received an email from Zappos that my order had shipped last night. Nice touch but I figured no way that could happen, at the earliest it'll go out today. Then I checked the tracking number this morning and saw that my order went out from Kentucky last night, arrived in San Diego this morning (!) and was out for delivery!!! Wow. I'm impressed. Always have had a good experience with Zappos. When I expressed my frustration last night to my wife that the shoes didn't fit and I wish there was a better way to insure correct fit when you order online, she asked how I thought Zappos could make it more convenient. Electronic foot scanner was my only crazy idea but I'll take extremely quick upgraded shipping any day of the week. Nice job! |  | ~ Joel, September 16 2008
