Comfort is crucial...
Because I don't like running very much, I ordered and tried on seven pairs of running shoes. These were easily the winners. They don't press on my arch, pinch my cranky little toe, or rub my heel. The soles are luxuriously padded without being squishy. The arch supports are just right.

Just what I wanted!
I was looking for a light trail shoe that also looked good. This shoe is perfect! Great construction, easy to pull on/off, breathes well, and when you get it in plum, looks awesome!

Ugly toe box -
These shoes are just too ugly - the grey color (with yellow trim) has a dark black vinyl-looking toe that looks (and smells) awful. Also, has virtually no arch support. Too bad, it's otherwise quite nice, light weight, and breathable. I'm a New Balance fan, but these are going back. Sizing: usual New Balance, order a size up. The last is SL-1, which is narrower/slimmer than others in all widths (such as SL-2).

Great all terrain shoe -
This shoe was comfortable from the get go. Great support and comfort. Treads on bottom great for street or trail.

I love these shoes! This was my first pair of New Balance- certainly won't be the last. They are lightweight, but really comfortable. They are also much cuter on my feet than they look in the picture. Everyone was telling me how great New Balance shoes are. They don't make my shins ache after walking five miles, which my last pair of athletic shoes did. Lesson learned you do compromise comfort and quality for price! Thanks Zappos.com for getting them to me so fast!

This is a very comfortable sneaker for running on the trails. My only problem with it is the height at which it hits my ankle, and the way the tongue sticks up. I usually wear a 9 but need to get a 9.5 in New Balance shoes.

Love this shoe!
High insteps and high arches, wide toes and narrow heels--that's what I have to contend with so finding a shoe with the support and structure I need is not always easy. Plus I wanted a shoe that would help my stability. This one does it. I like the wider tread on the bottom--I'm not tracking in so many small pebbles and sticks now!

Great!!
Did not have to break these in as normal for new ones. I put them on & never had to put on my old ones again.
Thanks,
Donna

New Balance WT811 -
I purchased the shoes a half size larger as recommended. Felt too large at first until I got used to them. Really comfortable shoes. I walk quite a bit and they feel great.

Love them -
Very comfortable. Fit is just right. Very supportive on the toes and instep. I have always liked NB. They are in my opinion the best sneaks.

Classic New Balance -
Great looks, great feel, great performance -- everything you'd expect from New Balance! I run about 4-5 miles/day in these, on various terrains. My last pair held up great for about 6-8 months.

Best Customer Service Ever!
I can say that my experience with Zappos customer service was the best I have ever received in my life. They should be giving lessons on how it should be done. Not only was my problem pleasantly resolved, but I was also given $20 off my next purchase, and received a hand-written thank you card in the mail. OUTSTANDING! And the shoes are great, too!

Great!
I had a hard time replacing my old NB sneakers that were discontinued, but I'm very happy with these and wear them almost everyday. I usually fit somewhere between a 9.5 and 10. I ordered a 10, they are a little big, but still fit well especially with thicker socks. Also, I found that the mesh part of the front is less insulated than the rest of the sneaker - great for ventilation when you're exercising, but not so great to wear outside in cold, windy weather.

Cute comfort shoes -
My physical therapist was chiding me for not wearing my orthotics more (I kept going for cute shoes instead of my clunky white motion-control sneaks), so I needed a shoe that would make me want to wear the orthotics. These sneakers (I got the purple) are incredibly cute and I wear them all the time, so mission accomplished. I have to confess they are not as supportive as my Brooks Addictions or as the NB 1120 series--the sole is not as firm, so your midfoot/arch gets more fatigued. But I have yet to see a maximum-motion-control shoe that's not ugly, so I'll sacrifice a little bit of comfort for the big dose of attractiveness that keeps me in these for casual wear and out of my totally-support less ballet flats. Oh, as with all "technical" running shoes, get a half to a full size bigger--I wear an 11 or 11.5 in dress shoes and the 12 in these fits very nicely.

 | | I just wanted to say that I'm most impressed with your company and your customer service. I received my original order yesterday. I had a problem where the wrong shoe was shipped to me. I called yesterday evening and got a very courteous customer service rep. She resolved my problem. I must say, very quickly. When I came home from work this evening, there at my doorstep was my correct pair of shoes from Zappos. I couldn't have been more shocked. I'm pleased to say that I love my new shoes. I will definitely buy shoes from your company again. You have a great selection, policy, etc. Above all, I appreciate how quickly this has been handled. Sincerely, Amie F. | | ~ Amie F., September 18 2008
