I like 'em a lot. They seem to run a little big. My shoe size in other shoes and work boots is actually bigger than these.

Boots felt great after about a week of wearing them. They felt tight out of the box and were difficult to get on at first; however, after wearing them for a week they are perfect. These boots look great with a pair of Levi jeans. Overall I am very satisfied.

Boots arrived very quickly. I was a little apprehensive having had surgery on my right foot, but they fit great right out of the box. The other boots I had previously worn had taken a couple of weeks to break in, but the Ariats were very comfortable the first day! Not only are they comfortable, but they look great too! I would highly recommend these boots to anyone.

Casual boot -
A very nice pair of boots. They fit tighter than I expected so order larger/wider as necessary. They didn't widen out easily. Great looking boots.

Excellent Boot!!!
Everything I read about this boot was on the mark. They were very comfortable right out of the box. The sole on this boot is great. Shipping was right on the money and the boots couldn't have been any better if I had bought them in person. Would without question do this again in a heartbeat.

I read a few concerns about the boots being narrow. I found them to be a bit snug in the side, but it actually felt good, and the boot eventually conformed.
I was looking for a boot that goes above the ankle and didn't have any designs on the toe. These are perfect.

The order was placed at 2:00 on Saturday and arrived at 10:00 on Monday. I put the boots on and wore them for an entire day with no pain. They felt like an old friend! I hate shoe shopping! When I need another pair, forget the mall, etc. I'll be back.

Roper Boots -
The boots themselves are great. I think it is my feet that do not agree with the boots. I got them in 10EE and the left boot was perfect, while the right was a bit tight in width. I tried a couple of different pairs of the same size and had the same problem. I figured that I would just try to break them in while wearing them. After about a day I realized that the right insole's arch was to far forward. I fixed this by putting in a pair of Dr. Scholl's memory foam inserts and now these are the most comfortable boots I have ever worn.

I have tried these boots on only once. They are very tight and feel a whole size smaller. I ordered them in size 9D, since no one seems to make a triple E size boot. I am still considering returning these boots, but quite frankly don't know what size to order now.

WOW! What a great boot. No breaking them in; fits my size exactly and feels like I’m wearing a pair of moccasins. They are so comfortable. I only wish I could get this same boot with steel toes for work.

Ariat ropers -
Got these a year ago, replaced Justin ropers. I wear them all day everyday, riding, farm work, etc. They are very comfortable but don't breathe as well as the Justin's, feet get hot in summer. They don't have as much a western look as other boots, look more like motorcycle boots. And, they are made in China. That said, I like them and if they last as long as Justins (3-4 years), I'll probably get another pair.

I own 3 pair of Ariat Roper Boots -
Since May 2006 I have purchased 3 pair of Ariat Roper boots. All are true to size and width and have excellent arch support. They are comfortable right out of the box. I wore one new pair out of the box to a George Strait concert where I had to walk 1.5 miles to park and eat before the concert. The boots felt great!

Pilot Work Boot -
This is an airport friendly (no detector alarm) boot with an "all day" feel great performance. Although the sole is impervious to Skydrol, the heels wear fairly rapidly for pronator's like me.
Wore Bates Uniform Wellington for 20 years, previously, and am now glad they quit making them.

I wanted a boot for western riding, both here near Philly and in Arizona, where I do riding vacations. I have sensitive feet, with a neuroma in one. I've tried on cowboy boots of all sorts. The Ariat is the first that works. I've had this pair for a month or so, and was able to use them right away without any break-in. I'm happy, and Ace the horse is happy.
The boots look good, they stay on in the heel, and the footbed is very comfortable. These boots work for walking as well as riding. Maybe I could even dance in them (if I could dance at all...)

Excellent work boot - with comfort & style -
This is my frist western style boot purchase in years and it was a great one. This boot is comfortable for all day wear at work or even with casual dress. I would highly recommend this boot to someone seeking a great western style boot.

When I received these boots, they did not look like what I thought they would look like. Although the online picture was accurate as to the appearance, it was not what I had in my mind. Still, they are good looking boots that fit perfectly and are very comfortable.

I ordered this boot for my son for Christmas. Not only was it an exceptional buy (and I adore Zappos for not charging shipping!) But it is also an exceptional quality, good-looking boot. I ordered a half-size larger than usual based on other reviews I read here before ordering. It was a great fit on my son and he said they were extremely comfortable to put right on and wear. He has bought Ariat boots before for himself, his wife and me, and we all love them. They do run a bit small and narrow. Incidentally, Customer Service and reliability on the part of Zappos are second to none!

Best boots for those with narrow heels & shallow instep.
I tried on four different brands of "Roper Boots"
and the only brand that fit my feet were the Ariats...they are apparently made on true combination lasts (even though the others say that
they are)-- combination last means having a wider forefoot than the heel. Also the instep is shallower so that my slim foot is held down to
the insole much better and my heel does not come up hardly at all when I walk. I love them!!

I never got the boot on. It was so narrow in the throat of the boot that I believe I would have needed two or more sizes larger than my foot to get in it. Very attractive well made upper. The sole was a bit more space age in appearance than I was prepared for. Return process worked fine.
