Love these boots! I walked all over icy cobbled streets in these boots and felt stable and comfortable. They have great arch support and are wide in the toe, but are stylish. Love them.

Zappos has done it again with their lightning fast shipping and amazing selection! I can certainly understand other reviewers saying that the medium width of these boots is way too narrow, but that\'s exactly what I love about them. My feet are super narrow and I almost always have to wear two pairs of socks, but not with these boots. I\'ve been wearing them the past two hours and they fit me like a glove. I also took a gamble and ordered the 7.5 size even though I usually take an 8. I wouldn\'t say there\'s any arch support, but I think they\'re still quite comfortable, and hope that I still feel that way as I continue to break them in. So far, my only complaint is that they put in the zippers on the sides since they\'re totally unnecessary, what with the laces and all. Still, a great brand, a very stylish boot, and so long as they fit me, well worth the cost.

I received order arrived quicker than expected. I immediately tried them on, and the boots fit perfectly, better than expected. I have large calves and I have a hard time fitting boots, but these fit exactly mid-calf. They are true to size. I normally wear a size 9 1/2, but I got a size 10 because I want to be able to wear heavy socks. But no matter the type of socks, they fit fine. I would recommend these to anyone who is interested in a stylish weather boot.

Got these boots very quickly--they upgraded my shipping to next day for free--and they are really cute. Solid construction, stout toe box, great arch support. HOWEVER, I have a fairly narrow foot and they were too narrow for me. The length was true-to-size (I wear an 8 and these were spot-on) but they are just way too tight in the width. I think the wide width would be a perfect fit, but I found some Frye boots I\'ve always wanted and am returning these for those. All in all, a great boot for a great price--JUST GET THE WIDE, even if you feel you have average to narrow width.

These boots are well made, comfortable, and good looking - suitable for dressy use as well as for hiking. The zipper opening is handy because you can get them on and off without undoing the laces. They seem to run narrow, which is good for me because I normally wear a 10 N and the 10 M fit me perfectly.

Unlike some of the other reviewers, I do not find this boot too narrow. I did loosen the laces all the way down before I put it on to make sure I had enough room, but I wore the boot with thick socks and it fit my average width foot well. It is not loose, however, so if your feet run even slightly wide naturally, this may not be the boot for you. Toe box is also a little long, but it gives the boot a great look, and adds to the comfort. I can\'t wait for the snow to test the waterproof claim!

Absolutely love these boots! I'm a waitress so I'm running for nearly 8 hours a day. I prefer the sturdiness of boots to sneakers and have gone through so many pairs of boots, either from wear, or being unable to take the break in time. These were amazingly comfortable the first day I wore them. The leather and soles are nice and soft so they move with your foot, rather than your foot fighting against the leather. And my feet didn't hurt by the end of my shift! That alone is worth the money. I would recommend these to anyone. Love them!

I really like these shoes. I purchased a pair last year; guess they were the non-waterproof version. Anyway, I wear them so often I was worried they would get too worn out and then I would be without, so went on Zappos and found this version. I really like the color; it is not a dark brown but not super light either. Just a good neutral color. The original pair I purchased last year was like a light taupe, very nice color. I have seen this style of boot from Timberland in black, but the style of the boot did not go in that color, in my opinion. The boots are reasonably comfortable; definitely have a break in period. Good tread on bottom. I have a tendency to slip so this is critical for me.

Bought these boots for my wife. She needed a capable pair of urban stompers that still looked good, and these fit the bill. They come in wide, which is a plus. She says that they are very comfortable, have great arch support, and have molded to her feet very well. The only gripe is the colors - neither the dark brown nor the tan is an appealing color that will match well with accessories.

Really like them so far. I know from years past that Timberland runs very narrow, so I got the wide footbed. The wide is still somewhat more narrow than I'd like, but I'm keeping them. The arch support is quite good, and they're a generally comfortable shoe (I'm very picky). The leather (black) is very nice looking and solid feeling. I love the rocker styling with laces, zip, and buckle (the buckle is non-functional though). I agree with an earlier reviewer that the quick lacing makes no sense because they come undone between wearings, so the zipper convenience is lessened somewhat. Still, the zipper makes it much easier to put on than if it were not there, so relacing a couple of the top loops isn't that big of a deal. The laces make this boot fit really well vs. zip-only boots. I don't have any heel slippage. I was able to loosen the laces to tuck jeans in, and also wear them with a skirt with laces tighter.

These boots are by far the most comfortable, stylish and durable boots I've ever bought. I was lucky enough to find my first pair on clearance in my hometown and fell in love with them after being trapped in a downpour with 6 inch mud puddles. They cleaned up beautifully and they're waterproof! I searched out my 2nd pair on Zappos and was willing to pay twice what I'd spent on my 1st pair because they are worth it. Zappos delivered the best customer service ever as well. The first pair I ordered had a crack in the leather on the toe when I received them. Before I even had a chance to return the damaged ones, they had already sent me another pair. Excellent service, thank you!

These are wonderfully comfortable boots, good arch support, the uppers hold up well and they\'re excellent in the snow, yet still pretty spiffy looking. I\'ve had these in the snow and slush and rain without once getting a wet foot, and they polish up beautifully when I\'ve scuffed them. The lace-up/zip-up combination is not as efficient as I thought it would be. Every time I take the boots off with the side zip, the laces come undone, so in the morning I have to re-lace and re-zip. It\'s not the end of the world, but I was a bit disappointed that it did not work the way I thought it would. I think it would\'ve worked out better had they not chosen to use a speed-lacing system. The laces just fall out of the sides when your leg is not in there holding things taut.\r\nMy biggest complaint with these boots is that the tread does not last long. I have owned these boots for about 10 months and the tread at the ball of the foot is flat. I can get 2 years of wear out of most boots as I do not wear them every day. It\'s especially disappointing to have the tread wear out so quickly since the uppers still look new.

Great boot, especially for wider calf sizes b/c it zips as well as laces up. You can lace up the boot a little more loosely and get additional room around the calf. I normally wear a size 10M in shoes and boots and found the 9.5W size in this boot to be a perfect fit (the boot is narrow, but the toe box is longer). Based on the fact that the W size fit me like a normal M width would in my other shoes/boots, I would assume that the regular width size would be great for VERY narrow feet. This is a great boot overall (appearance, versatility, etc...) and I bought it in the black and brown colors! Would HIGHLY recommend!!!

I needed boots for hiking purposes but I also wanted something to wear around town and not look backwoods and out of place. I bought these based on the good reviews and the Timberland name/quality. Plus, the easy on and off access of the side zipper, while still supplying a custom fit through laces, was a huge bonus. Where my husband and I hike there are A LOT of ticks and the more areas tightly covered the better. As soon as they arrived I tried them on. Or, I tried to try them on. The area surrounding the arch was too small to slip my foot into without completely loosening the laces. Then, tied back up, my foot felt constantly strangled. I ordered a wide, since these were said to run narrow, and I'm so glad I did. The toe box in the wide fits like a normal boot width. I can't imagine the medium width. However, there is no wide-arch fit so if you have very fleshy feet, these may not work for you. As I wore the boot, the arch did loosen up a bit. I hope with extended wear, they'll conform to my feet a little more. The look is a little shinier around the toes than I expected but the leather wears nicely. All considered, they're good boots. A little pricey and a little snug but they're sure to last you for years and they look good with a large range of outfits.

Theres something about this boot -
This boot is well-made, solid but not clunky. It is definitely made for narrow feet, especially in the heel and ankle, but the toe box is more than adequate in size. The comfort is very good; excellent arch support. I wear it with jeans and with skirts and dresses. It has a slightly biker-esque, slightly nostalgic look, and is fun to wear.

These Boots Run Narrow -
I liked the look of these boots online and bought the wide width. I can usually get into a normal width, just not comfortably, but these were so narrow I couldn't get my foot into them.

Cute, comfy, wear them all the time! Reviews said they were narrow but this wasn't a problem for me. My only complaint - wish they came in more colors. I have the brown which are already weathering to a great tone.

Not as nice as they look -
These look much more like a construction boot than I'd hoped. I love buckled, rugged boots, but these just didn't have as much gloss to balance out the effect as the picture makes it seem. The brown leather was brushed, kind of dull, the kind prone to scratches and scuffs. And the instep was quite narrow, though the toe area had plenty of room. Too much space around the ankles, but I would've ignored it if the width wasn't so uncomfortable.

This boot is perfect -
I could not be happier with this boot. I have very hard-to-please feet, always hurting, can't wear heels and wanted something chic but supportive. I wear arch supports in them and my feet are happier than they have been with any other shoe, even my Dansko clogs. I ordered them rather than other boots due to the comfort claim combined with the look, and they lived up to the claim.

These boots look fantastic, and probably are, if you have very narrow feet. Even the wide, as someone else mentioned, was very, very narrow. One might think that Timberland, who got their name with the outdoorsy hiking set, might be more comfort conscious. Oh well...Both the 8 wide and the 8.5 were terribly narrow and uncomfortable. I'm usually somewhere in the 7.5-8.5 range, depending on the boot. And I can often justify a bit of discomfort in the name of style, but these had to go back.

These shoes were excellent quality, great looking, and brand. They would have been comfortable if they were not extremely narrow, even in the wide size.
