Although I ended up not keeping this boot, it was a hard decision to make. They were very well made and had good clean, sleek, classic lines. They tend more toward a casual weekend look with the block heel. They fit wonderfully as far as length and width and no problem slipping your feet in even without a zipper. They were well padded, but I could definitely feel the bottom support. Which, for most people, would be a good thing, but I have ultra sensitive feet and I knew that if I ever had to walk and stand for hours at a time, it would become painful. I kept trying them on and walking around the house hoping that I was just imagining the hardness, but my finicky feet kept feeling that something wasn\'t quite right.

I bought two pairs of these boots during the Winter of 2008. I am a size 11 B/C with a very high arch and wide foot. These boots have an incredible fit. I can wear these boots to walk my dogs in a field across the street from house and they are very comfortable. I have trudged through knee high snowdrifts and they have kept me dry. I love these boots and wish they came in a chocolate brown as well.

Great boots!
These Rockports are perfect. Fit well, super comfortable, and look great. I love these to wear with jeans, cords, or slacks for work and on the weekends. It is impossible to get simple black boots- boots that don't have super pointy toes, funky wedged heels, or over the top buckles. Believe me, I've been searching for the past year and half. Simply, they are great basic, nicely contoured boots. I've already purchased a back-up pair for when these wear out.

Extremely comfortable all-purpose boot -
These boots are what I was looking for! Finally found something comfortable for all-day wear, since I need extra room in the toe box. They are not as fashionable or flashy as some, but suit my needs perfectly and I am looking at buying another pair. I bought a size 7 and it is roomy enough for heavy socks, which I like for the winter. Usually I wear a 7.5, so definitely go down at least a half size.

These are extremely comfortable. I have gotten many compliments on them and have done a lot of walking in them. Great cushiony support. I highly recomend them.

These are extremely comfortable. I have gotten many compliments on them and have done a lot of walking in them. Great cushiony support. I highly recomend them.

Love these Boots!
Boots are GREAT - fit great, comfortable, no blisters first time I wore them. Could wear them 8 hrs a day, 5 days a week. What a great find. Width and size were a match.

Insulated?
The description doesn't say these boots are insulated, but there is some kind of thick padding in the top and sides of the foot as well underneath, and my feet definitely feel warmer than usual when I wear these boots indoors. Not so much that they're uncomfortable for winter indoor wear though. The style is a classic boot, not "stylish" but good-looking in an understated way. And they're very, very comfortable.

Good all-purpose winter boot -
I needed a boot that was waterproof, that I could wear with many different types of clothing, & this one was just what I was looking for. It's not a dressy boot but I didn't find them clunky or heavy at all either. I wore them right out of the box-very comfortable. I would recommend ordering a half size (and width if applicable) smaller, because they run large & wide.

Too big!
I have worn this style boot for several years. However, when I ordered it in my size, they are way too big! Not sure if the manufacturer changed their sizing or I got a defective pair. Beware; you may be swimming in these boots!

My favorites!
These are almost identical to the Rockport Stage Point from a few years ago, of which I wore out two pairs. When I saw these, I could tell they were very close, and ordered my usual size. They fit perfectly and I wore them right out of the box all day. This style has even more cushioning than the Stage Point, but are just as durable. I agree with another reviewer that they are casual and a bit on the heavy side (but not ridiculously so), but I walk a lot on city streets and find that I can wear them all day in comfort, and my feet feel protected. These look best with jeans, corduroys and leather pants -- they are not dressy. But if you want a solid, comfortable boot for casual workdays or weekends, I highly recommend these.

Boats!
I have one other pair of Rockport shoes in my usual size. So that's what I ordered here. These boots were so big I couldn't decide whether I should order a size down, a width down, or both. I decided the best thing to do would be to send them back and look elsewhere. Also, these didn't have the solid look or construction that I association with Rockports. They felt a little cheap.

A bit too heavy -
I have a pair of these in brown. The leather is not as good quality and the shoe is very heavy. I bought a 9W and it was enormous. I exchanged it for an 8 1/2W. The style is still nice, but do not buy if you can't handle a heavy boot. I kept mine.

I am a crew member on a TV show, & often on my feet for 14 hours a day & I have found that Rockports are the only shoe that I can wear all day without experiencing foot & knee strain/pain. The day after these boots arrived I wore them all day on set with no pain or discomfort at all. They needed no breaking in at all! The downside is that they are not the cutest boot, & I really had to dress down to match the boot. But, if you value comfort over looks these are fabulous.

Black wonders -
These boots are very comfortable and the heel is not too high for my foot. I have a bad foot and they seem to fit well. Not too hard to walk in either. I've had some great comments thanks so much.
