These are the most comfortable shoes for off road running. They have an amazing stabilizer bar that runs across the broad section of the sole and stops your ankle from tipping over on rocks or dirt. The shoe runs a little large and wide across the front, but great for a narrow heel.

Best Shoes Ever!
I am in love! I had my foot crushed by a cab driver a year ago and have feared I would never be comfortable running again. Though I still have my aches afterwards, these shoes have helped out soo much with comfort while I run. It no longer feels like a 20lb weight when I land. Thank you guys soo much! I will buy more from this company and brand of shoes.

Excellent Shoe!
I ordered these in the raspberry/pink color and they look great! These shoes are incredibly comfortable and breathe! I had to order up 1 whole size to accommodate orthotics, but am really pleased with these. I have always worn Asics, but think I've found a great new shoe!

Love Them -
This is my second pair of Izumis. I also have the red ones. I did have to order 1/2 larger because they do run a little small. Very comfortable and look great.

The best running shoe I've ever owned. They didn't need to be broken in...comfortable right out of the box. I highly recommend!

Cool but mushy -
This shoe is nice looking and the color is fabulous, but it too soft in construction. I have an earlier pair of Izumis and they were more stable in structure. The lightness of the shoe is great for running but I would prefer a little more structure.

Great buy!
I am an avid runner and hiker, I usually separate my running shoes from my hiking shoes. With these, I am sure they could be used for lighter hiking or trail running, but they aren't hard core hiking support shoes. For running, they are superb! I go through shoes quickly and these actually last and don't break down as fast as other shoes I've bought. I'll be purchasing my second pair and plan to stick with this brand since they make such quality shoes!

I love this shoe but the sizing was tricky..I ordered a half size up after reading several reviews, but you really need to go up a full size these shoes run small. I had to return my first pair.

Great shoes!
I am very happy with these shoes. I dislike the bulky, super-cushioned, supportive style of running shoe, and these are its opposite. Very light and streamlined, these were just what I wanted. I prefer shoes on the roomy side, so I ordered a full size up rather than the recommended half and that worked for me.

Really good - I love these shoes. They are really good and comfy and they look nice also. You can combine them with almost everything. I love them to run 5 KM to marathon. I tried them and they worked as they were supposed to.

I read the reviews before purchasing this shoe and everyone said they ran a half size small so I ordered a 9 instead of my usual 8 1/2. They are still small and I would recommend ordering one full size larger than your normal size unless you like your shoes to feel tight and have your toes hitting the end.

This is the first model of Pearl Izumis that I have tried and I must say that as an Asics fan, I am impressed thus far. Although I have only experienced 1 1/2 miles of the Peak XC I will say that the shoe has a nice roll and seems to be ideal from a heel strike runner to a mid foot strike. The shoes are very light and glide nicely on a run. Do buy them a half size up even if you are already a half size up from your normal shoe size, i.e. Asics 9.5 = Pearl Izumi 10. Also the snugness is nice, fits like a sock around the ankle. The only complaint I have is that the shoe is hot. I wore them for about 3 hours before my run while I was in class and they were very warm. However I did not notice the warmth on the run so they do breathe on a run. Second, I hope to see the next generation of Peak XCs in better colors. I love the bold color but I don't prefer every run to feel like Valentine's Day. How about white, blue, and yellow???

Love the colors!
While I originally ordered these for running, I am not sure that they will serve me as well as my usual Nike Shox in the support area, but I think they are very comfortable and I love how they look! The mix of red, pink, and silver really makes them stand out (and I love red shoes of almost any kind)… even the laces are interesting in that they are rimmed in pink. Mostly, I will wear these for walking dogs, playing catch, etc. They definitely run small! I ordered a 9.5 and my toes were smashed into the front of the shoes. A 10 worked well, but if I wore thicker socks, I'd have to say that a 10.5 would be necessary.

I have been wearing a Pearl stability shoe but wanted to try something lighter weight. This shoe is very light weight, comfortable, but still maintains a nice arch support. I am very happy with the purchase and Zappos. Love the Zappos.

Awesome running shoe -- buy half size bigger!
"I've only worn Nike running shoes for the past 18 years and have found them not to quite fit right anymore. After going through 5 different pair (and returning them) I saw a woman at the gym wearing these. I about fell over myself trying to get to her. She bought them at a local store, so I went there to try them on. However, I ended up buying a 7.5 when I fit pretty solid into a 7 in regular shoes. I didn't have to pay tax buying them at Zappos so purchased them here. I get compliments every single time I wear them! The entire upper piece is one solid piece with support built into the sides. They are the lightest running shoe I've ever had. I'm sold!!"

These PIs look great and feel even better. They do run about 1 half size small. If you’re a 10, order a 10 1/2. Zappos is a perfect combo of selection and the best service in the business.

These shoes are comfortable, however, they seem to run a little short. I would say they are about a half size short, and while I did wear them all day, my feet did ache a bit.

Pearls are great running shoes.
I was told to order up 1/2 size and I did order an 8 1/2 instead of 8, however, it remains a toss up as to whether or not this is good advice. I have always worn PI running shoes - my last were the Synchro-floats and I have always, always worn 8s in all PI running shoes. With Superfeet insoles, these Peaks fit well, but not perfect, just a tad big. Bottom line - you may need to try on two sizes to get the perfect fit.
