Love this boot! Took less time to break in than my Frye Harness. I got them in yellow, and it's yellow, for sure. Gotten SO many compliments on them! I have big calves, and they are a bit tight if I pull my socks up over my calves, otherwise just fine. Ordered half size up, and actually broke in the toe box with a hammer! Worked great and helped relax the sides a bit, since my feet run just a little wide. Great supportive shoe for walking in the city instead of running shoes. Will have them forever! Zappos is the best!

The boots look beautiful and go well with dresses with leggings and jeans. A few notes: they run a half size large than marked. I initially ordered them in an 8 but had to return them for a 7.5. Another issue for me is that the lack of cushioning on the inside of the boot causes the tendons in my toes to stretch in the most uncomfortable way. I’m hoping that if I break the boots in enough, they will get looser and this problem will disappear. Either way, that's not stopping me from wearing them! Very cute!

Love this boot; it's classic and fashionable at the same time, well made, and great value for the money. Looks great with jeans, skirts, dresses, anything! It's more chic than a cowboy boot (in my mind) and according to my new friends, makes a great Harley (bike) boot!!! The boot is a bit narrow in the front, which is my only reservation. Otherwise, comfortable and wonderful heel height. Thank you to other customers suggesting to size down. And ZAPPOS is awesome; I wish I could buy everything from this place.

Frye’s Campus 14L boots come highly recommended!
I just bought these boots through Zappos a couple of days ago. Naturally they arrived practically within hours of my order placement (at no charge to me) secondary to Zappos customer service. I was worried that the boots would be uncomfortable as I have a wide foot, but they actually fit quite well and resulted in no discomfort even on the first wearing. They are beautiful, hip boots with a construction that looks like it will survive the next ice age. They are a little heavy, but I figure a little resistance on the muscles is a good thing. If you have a wide foot, I would recommend purchasing your usual shoe size versus electing to go with a half size smaller. I wear an 8.5 and ordered an 8.5 and they are quite comfortable. If you dig 'em, get 'em...you won't be disappointed!

Still a great boot!
I wore these Fryes in the 70's. I have the same pair and they have held up and while they look well worn and well loved (they need to be resoled) - they can go another 34 years. The new pair in banana will be with me for many long years to come, too - still well made and have already received compliments - why not? They ARE great! Like everyone says though - unless you wear really thick boot socks, there is PLENTY of room in the boot and may feel just a bit big - better than too small. As these are not offered in a wide, that help with the fit!

I usually wear 9.5 to size 10 shoes. I ordered the 10 and I can live with it, but there is a lot of space around the toe. Tough to know without trying them on first. Otherwise, they are very comfortable, kick-around boots. The only place I got blisters is on my calves, from the top of the boot rubbing them but I'm sure that will go away soon (or I can wear high socks). The boots are incredibly easy to put on.

Great quality but not for me -
I got a Sunrise color, which out of the box looks very orange, like cheese puffs. Maybe banana would have been better. Very well-constructed, all-leather sole and all, so I can see it lasting forever. But I have a slightly wide foot and the toe box pinches my small toe. I think it'll be too painful to break this in. It wasn't love at 1st sight, so I don't want to deal with any pain. I am petite, size 5.5, and this seemed to be a bit much, with the orange color & thick clunky style. Wouldn't recommend for wide feet. If you are petite, maybe the other colors would be better.

Great boots!
These boots are great! Very comfortable and get lots of compliments whenever I wear them. Fit felt true to size. Definitely worth every penny, I wish I had bought them sooner.

These boots are perfect for anyone who has trouble finding boots that fit their calves and feet. I normally wear a 10 1/2 (which you can't find anywhere) so I am always forced to buy 11's but with these boots I ordered a 10 and they fit perfectly. They are very comfortable and go great with jeans or skirts.

Just like good wine, it gets better with age -
Fantastic boots. I'm size 9 and fit an 8.5 perfectly well. A little too wide at the heels but overall, just fantastic and well made. I just love them with straight jeans and skirts. I am a walker and found them heavy at first but I'll die before I wear sneakers.

Waited too long for these boots!
These boots are well worth the money! I should have bought them sooner; I love them. It is like wearing an old pair of slippers once they are broken in. Use plenty of mink oil to soften them up; they will last forever.

Fit across toe area is tight/careful choosing colors -
I got the Frye Campus 14L boots about 2 mos. ago. I ordered the saddle color. I did not like the color as it was too orange for my taste. It is hard to judge the colors on the website. But since Zappos has THE best return policy- it's not a big deal. I sent it back (for free!) & reordered the same boots in dark brown. I received them the next day & I really like this color better. It is much more versatile. I think they are great, classic, casual boots that I will keep for years. Love the look. They do not have great arch support and are very narrow across the toe area. Hopefully they will stretch. I have a narrow small foot (size 6 to 6.5) and they are very tight in the width. I ordered a 6 and the length is fine. If you have a wide foot- I would not suggest this boot for you. Zappos is the best online company. Great service- fast & free- no hassles. Can you ask for more than that?

Great Boots -
I just received my Frye Campus 14L boots. They are really comfortable little disappointed about the color. I ordered them in Saddle and expected them to be a little darker then they were. I ordered them in an 8.5 and I'm usually a 9 and they fit well. A little big in the heel part but overall, they fit great.

Very happy with these boots. They feel a little narrow to me, but having only worn them a few times, I'm confident they will continue to conform to my foot. They are beautiful, and I get compliments all the time on them. They go well with pants and skirts, and I am so happy I spent the money! Well worth it, and they will last forever.

They're so cool!
They are great looking and fun. They run very big. I usually need a 10 1/2 or an 11 but I got the size 10 based on others' comments about the boot running large, and it is very roomy. The footbed is quite stiff, probably to be expected in a boot this style. Although they are quite heavy and stiff, they actually make my foot look small.

Great boots! Love the dark brown color; give the boots a vintage look. Looks great with jeans and a skirt. I usually wear size 6.5 but ordered a 1/2 size smaller after reading some of the reviews. Fits well with my wide feet and very comfortable. Very happy with my purchase and Zappos.

The boot was made well, but was too chunky for me. It felt clunky and heavy. I have the harness 14l and love it, but this is not feminine on my big feet and thick calves.

These boots are exactly 15 inches circumference in the calf and so it took some walking around in thick socks to stretch them out a bit...but it worked. They look great and I'm sure after I wear them a bit more they will become more comfortable. I love them and am really happy I ordered them. I bought them 1/2 smaller and they are perfect.

I finally got them...
I’ve been lusting after these boots for YEARS. I originally bought the Cavalry ones because I loved how they looked online (never saw them in person), and they just weren't me. So I returned them and got the Campus in banana. I haven't taken them off since! They are gonna look real adorable with skirts and tights, but I bought them primarily to dress up my jeans so I don't have to wear sneakers anymore. I will have to get some jeans that aren't boot cut to complete the look. In the meantime, I can stuff my bootcut jeans in the boot and they don't look so bad.

These boots are great and fit well, I am always an 8, but on the advice of other Zappos boot buyers, bought a 7.5 and they fit like a dream! The color is awesome and had that broken in look immediately!!! No wonder they're such a hot item! I asked for them at xmas, but they were sold out so I bought them for myself!!!

The Frye Campus 14L is the best boot I've ever bought. I would have paid twice the price. I get compliments on them wherever I go and I can easily wear them to work, out on the town or simply running errands. They look amazing and feel even better. I did get a 1/2 size smaller and with socks they fit perfectly.

I love these boots. Thank you Zappos. I got the dark brown and they are beautiful. They are surprising, really comfortable. I'm between a 7 1/2-7, and I ordered the 7. Fit like a glove. Totally worth the investment. These boots will last forever.

Yes, they run a half size too large and yes they rub a tiny little bit on one toe, but I would wear these boots everyday if I could do so without being ridiculed. They are very comfortable and look great. Make cute, kind of casual dresses cuter with leggings or tights. My boyfriend loves them with my skinny jeans tucked in-says it gives me the sexy cowgirl vibe (IN NYC).

Love Love this boot!
I have been wanting this boot for a while now and bought it for myself for my birthday. I purchased the Chocolate color and love it! It looks worn but it's not, which I like a lot better than looking all brand new. I must have big calves because the left boot was a little tight around the calves the first day then just perfect! In fact I wore them shopping the first day and they were super comfy!! Only one little toe rubbed a tad bit by the end of the day. I followed the advice of others and got a 1/2 size down from my norm. And they fit perfect! This boot rocks with a pair of jeans and they will last forever! Worth every penny!!

These boots took a while to break in, but once the leather softens they are great. I also put in an insole for some extra support and now they are comfortable even for long distance walking. I have them in pink and get tons of compliments.

They have been all heart! You have picked the best people to work for you. I do not know if you realize it but because I have trouble finding shoes I feel like I know everyone. They are the greatest employees and an asset to Zappos. They really do care! Most people today just want to place their 8 hours punch in and out, get home, and forget their job.
