Wish they held up better!
This is the second pair that I have purchased for my son. Within the first 45 days of wearing the first pair, there was a plastic piece rubbing through the shoe and digging into my son's toe. I vowed not to purchase Stirde Rite shoes again, but he really liked these and they fit him well, so I gave in. Maybe I'm expecting more for the money I'm paying for them, but he's had other brands (like New Balance) that seemed to hold up better. So overall, that's why I am rating this shoe with 3 stars.

My grandson just loves these shoes!! The fact that he can put them on without help makes him just that more independent, which he loves! I bought them a 1/2 larger, relying on the previous reviews, and they are a little big due to the fact that I ordered the extra wide. He has such a wide foot I didn't want to take a chance on the shoes running small and pinching his small toe and he will have plenty of room to grow.

Great Purchase -
These shoes are great for big wide Flintstone feet! They were the only ones I found in extra wide in my son's size. They are fun, roomy, and he loves them. They are also easy on and easy off. Zappos is great to deal with too!

Great everyday shoe. Our son flipped out when he saw this shoe. Now, he says he can run faster with them on. Really great to find an extra wide shoe too!

We are very happy with these shoes. I'm happy because they came in extra wide and my son is happy because they looked like all the cool shoes he wanted from the stores that DIDN'T come in XW. No complaints on fit and Stride Rite has always worn well (as you would hope for the price!).

Great looks, great comfort, great fit. True to size, so I bought mine half a size larger to allow for thick socks, inserts, and a little toe slide as you take each step, because no laces means your foot will slide regardless and you don't want it too snug. Color is more gray/tan and earth-toned than in picture, which is good because I was worried they might show up brighter green. Customer service was absurdly excellent - so good I felt ashamed for even asking for help. Zappos is THE place.

This shoe was supposed to be my son's PE shoe, but he liked it so much, he made it his everyday shoe. I like that the shoe is a dark color with a large rubber toe which helps the shoe stand up to wear and look nice longer. My son likes that he can slip on his shoe, fasten the Velcro and go. A shoe we both can agree on.

Zappos Rock -
We have 2 pair of these shoes, for our wide footed boys. These shoes are loved by us all. They fit them perfectly; they can put them on all by themselves, have a great tread and are really "cool" looking. Zappos was so easy to deal with; even with an exchange we had the shoes within a day or two. We live in a small town where buying wides and extra wides is near to impossible. Zappos is now our first and last stop for shoes for our boys...probably me too!

Good School Shoes!
These are excellent shoes for a kindergarten student! There are no laces so you're not worrying about the shoes being tied all day! My son has Fred Flintstone feet so I chose the Stride Rite's because I had heard they offered great arch support and they do. I would recommend these to any mom who has a "Fred Flintstone Footed" child or anyone who doesn't want to fool with shoe laces.

Lovely and comfortable shoes. Very stylish. I've been getting a lot of compliments. The only thing is you need to order a size larger. I wear 7.5 and I needed to return/exchange them a few times to finally end up with the size that works – 8.5. I recommend these, excellent value!

He's happy!
My son is very fussy about his shoes and he absolutely loves this one. It's rugged looking and has the velcro strap for easy on and off. A winner in my house! A word of caution... my son usually takes a wide width, but we had to go with the extra wide on this one because it seemed to be narrow in the toe box.

 |  | I want to thank you for your compassion!!! I explained, I think to all the employees, my situation about having lupus, and a car accident with a broken back, but still needing shoes. They have been all heart! You have picked the best people to work for you. I do not know if you realize it but because I have trouble finding shoes I feel like I know everyone. They are the greatest employees and an asset to Zappos. They really do care! Most people today just want to place their 8 hours punch in and out, get home, and forget their job. I truly feel these people at Zappos are the very best that any company can have as employees. Trump, eat your heart out – these people may not be rich, but where it counts, rich at heart. I truly respect them for them taking their time with me. Most of all, I pray you realize you have the crème of the crop working for you! Congratulations for such great people who do not just go to work for a check but because they care about the people they help. Like me!!! Who knows if I will ever walk again but, I can say they gave me the hope that I may and can walk if I try, especially with my new shoes. Thank you Zappos for the best service anyone can ask for!
