I liked the look of this sleek style with no heel. The detailing on the side was very cute, and they were quite warm and light. I could zip them all the way to the top without much trouble and the shaft fit perfectly. Out of the box they were exactly as pictured, but they were far too narrow in the foot. I have a wider right foot, but can usually get away with wearing a Medium width in Dansko Professionals or Keen, but these were too narrow before I even stood on it with thin socks. I was also disappointed in the sole--absolutely NO cushioning. It has less cushion than my bedroom slippers. I\'m not sure how Merrill came up with this. If you have a narrow foot and don\'t plan on walking on rough surfaces you may want to try this boot.

So pretty, but I'm ever so sad I don't get to keep them. There was enough stretch in the boot to accommodate my right calf, 16 inch circumference, but not my left which has a 17 inch circumference. The pocket is cute and just about big enough to hold a key but not a key ring. The boot fit my foot beautifully, I found the width to be good, but my foot is a little wide so those with a narrow foot might find them to be too much.

Love! Warm and cozy. Adorable with tights and skirts. I have a very high arch and love the support I get because of the snug fit on my foot. Not an ounce of slop with the fit of this boot. Well worth the cost. Am excited for a second winter in them.

I love these boots! I recently took them to Holland and Germany with me. Holland is often rainy so I wore them constantly, walking all over the city. They look great and were very comfortable. Thank you Zappos, you guys are the beat!

Just got these and am already impressed. Most comfortable footwear I\'ve had on my feet other than my running shoes. Very well made, fit like a glove, and although I\'ve not tried them out of doors yet in chilly temperatures, they will clearly be warm. I have thin calves, so yes, I can see how these might be too tight for those with larger calves. Cannot wait to wear them out! Beautiful boots worth every penny to someone who is very picky about comfortable footwear.

I always get compliments on these boots! I can work in them on my feet for over 8 hours and they are still comfy, and so much more stylish than your basic rain boots. I wouldn't say the water resistance is terribly high, but it's fine for walking about in the rain, just don't count on them for a puddle jumping contest (although perhaps more rain went down the tops than through the boot, I was wearing a skirt). My only complaint is that the shaft is just a bit too wide at the top, but I do have narrow calves. And perhaps a small heel would be nice too, I've never had flat boots before. Wouldn't stop me from buying these though!

I got these in preparation for next winter. I like the fit; they’re form fitting without being too constricting. Also, I’m pretty tall (6ft) and they cover my calves which is nice. I’m not sure how warm they will be, probably will need wool socks.

Cute but...
These shoes are cute but they don't quite work for me, so I'm sending them back. I wish they were a couple inches shorter, but they come all the way up to my knee and are a bit baggy and scratchy right at the top. I'm so bummed because they are so cute and otherwise comfortable. I didn't expect the fabric to be so much like neoprene either. If you plan to wear these over pants, the fit issue probably doesn't matter, but I wanted to wear them with skirts and dresses.

Awesome boot!
I LOVE these Uma's. They're comfortable, cool-looking, versatile and totally functional. Warm and great traction in winter weather. Tiny drawbacks: top cuts into my inside calf making a sore, hopefully it loosens up over time (I have average sized, or smaller, calves); and a little too tight to tuck any but the straightest-legged jeans in, but hey, they're sleek and snappy!

Great boots -
These boots proved to be a good buy because they are waterproof, very comfortable, and warm with an extra pair of sox. They are also true to size. I like them because they are tall and the snow and slush are not an issue.

Awesome Boot -
I absolutely love this boot. I ordered it on Friday at 1:48pm, it was delivered on Monday at 9:44am, talk about fast service. Thank you Zappos. I usually wear size 10, but bought the 10 1/2, and it feels great. I wore them this morning and they feel incredibly comfortable. I don't know how they would function in the Northeast snow storms, but it'll be fun to find out. Would definite recommend. Did I say they are comfortable? Yes they are and very attractive.

Wish I could have kept them!
These shoes are crazy cute; my husband got them for me for Christmas, but I couldn't keep them because my calves were too large. Even though I could zip them up and could tell that they are totally comfortable, I was muffin topping the boots. Not attractive. However, my mother-in-law liked them so much that she kept them herself. Jealous!

Fabulous!
I LOVE these boots. They are very attractive and great for rainy/wet weather. I have petite (short) legs and they fit great. I did think that the decoration was embroidered from the picture; however, it is printed on the neoprene. Please note: these are not lined and are therefore not made for warmth.

Uma 2 is great!
They're stylish and practical to boot! The size was perfect (I wear a 10 1/2, but the eleven fits great, so they may run a tad small).

Best boots I own!!
I saw these in an Athleta catalog and liked them so I looked them up on Zappos. They are unbelievably comfortable like other reviewers have stated and they are really cute. I can wear them with short skirts with tights, in the snow or even under jeans. So many boots I own are too chunky to fit comfortably under jeans. I was surprised by the fabric but it reminds me little of my husband’s "MUCK BOOT" material and they are so durable! These boots are worth every penny!

These boots ROCK!!!! I went thru like 6 pairs from Zappos, and they were so patient with me then I finally found these Timberlands and they are just what I was looking for. I have a wide size 11 foot, and am tall so I needed something supportive and tough, yet with some style. They fit the moment I put them on and are the most comfortable shoes I own. They will come to Italy with me in January!

I love these boots!
When I saw my friend wearing these, I thought they looked really cute on her, so I decided to order a pair for myself. And I found that not only are they cute, but they are soooo comfortable. I don't want to take them off!
I did follow the advice to order a half size smaller, and these fit me well.

Love the Uma -
Recently I wore my Uma boots all day and evening and was completely comfortable the entire time. They are stylish with the swirl embroidery and they are tall enough for my legs.(I'm 5'10")
I haven't worn them in bad weather, so I can't speak as to their warmth or if they are waterproof. So far I'm completely happy with the boots.

disappointing -
I was so excited to see these boots out of the box - they are very stylish and the detailing is more subtle than it appears in the photos. I was disappointed, however, because they are so tall that I have no socks tall enough to wear with them, and the zipper rubbed on the inside of my knees.

Favorite boots!
Three words: I love these! Incredibly comfortable from the cushy footbed to the stretchy panel in the calf. These fit like a dream, they are lightweight and comfortable, no pinching, they shed moisture, they are warm while outside without being too hot when indoors ... and every single time I have worn them, I have had people stop me asking where I purchased (Zappos, of course!). The subtle vine design is just enough to make them stand out from a plain black boot.
I wear them with tights or with Smartwool kneesocks peeking out the top - with my winter skirts, denim skirts, etc. They also wear beautifully under jeans or casual pants. They are definitely one of my favorite shoe purchases of all time.

I do like these boots! They're snug, comfortable, and warm, but I'll have to wait and see how they handle a Midwest snowstorm. The edge of the zipper gets a little itchy, but a good pair of knee high socks fixes that. I have real narrow feet and they fit pretty snugly.

Overall this is a great boot and is VERY warm. I like that it can be dressy or casual. And the big plus is the comfort of the boot.

This boot looks like the best of both worlds: it is stylish and comfortable. It looks really sleek. However, even despite the elastic gusset, if you have bigger calves (bigger than 15" maybe?), it won't fit. Also, even though the fabric looks very durable, I doubt these boots would be an optimal choice for a real (say, Chicago) winter.

 |  | Dear Zappos, Okay, help me understand something. I place an on-line order last evening at about 8:00. I screw up how to use my store credit and can’t figure out how to fix it. I resort to calling your toll free number to fix my stupid mistake and expect to be on hold for at least 20 minutes. Wow is all I can say! A real live person answers the phone in two rings after I debated with myself whether or not to press the option for joke of the day. He corrects my problem and even makes the decision to not charge my credit card for the less than $2 difference between my store credit and the amount due for the running shoes I ordered. On top of this, the shoes were sitting on my doorstep tonight after I came home from work. I even wore them for my evening workout. How dare you do this in less than 20 hours after my mistake! You just set the customer service pole vault bar at 37 feet in my book! Terrific, terrific service. Thank you very much! I now consider myself a customer for life. You all will have to work very hard to make me buy a pair of shoes from another company. I’m new to Zappos and you can bet I will be looking to Zappos for other purchases! Many thanks... my next order will be tomorrow evening so I can surprise my wife with a new pair of Berks she wants, but actually needs... it isn’t always good to want things!
