Great boots -
As a landscaper, nursery owner, I wear boots a lot and generally buy at least one new pair every year. This is the first boot I have ever purchased that didn't need a break in period. They were comfortable from the first time I wore them, and that was for 8 solid hours on gravel and uneven surfaces.
Other shoes recommended by reviewer: Not sure, this is the first pair of Columbias I've ever owned.

True Love - I put them on as soon as they got here and it’s 90 degrees out and I’m still wearing them. I love them SO MUCH. Cute, not bulky at all. I regret that I have to sleep tonight because I don’t want them off. Felt true to size with a little extra toe room, comfortable within an hour. At first the heels were stiff, perfect now a few hours later. The only thing I would do to change them is make them vegan. Zappos did a great job with fast delivery once again, thanks!

A very comfortable boot -
These boots were super comfortable from day one! A big thank you to the reviewer who suggested getting a half size larger - excellent advice. My first hike in them was for six miles in beautiful Oak Creek Canyon in Arizona. They felt great! Thanks Zappos for the incredibly fast, free delivery!

They are the perfect boot. Excellent arch support! Very lightweight. Extremely comfortable, but I agree with some other reviews about the ankle rubbing. Otherwise, the best boot I have bought!

Columbia keeps its good reputation!
Overall comfort is unique to this shoe compared to other brand name hiking shoes. I love the way it secures the entire foot. The entire foot bed is soft and cushions each step. My only complaint is that is hot, maybe due to the Gore-Tex lining. I prefer to wear it in the winter.

Great shoe!
As a newbie hiker, I find the shoes very comfortable, sturdy and they support my foot and ankle in style and comfort!

Sooo comfortable!
Awesome boots. They are beautifully made and very VERY comfortable. As far as the waterproof part, I don't know yet because I haven't tested them on a rainy day. The only problem I have with them is that the top rubs on my left ankle, but I think that's because of my foot. I was always told I walk on the side of my foot, and I think it's just the angle of my foot, and not a problem with the boot itself.
I ordered boots on Wednesday. Ordered with 4 to 5 business day shipping. Zappos upgraded my shipping for free and I received my boots in 2 days. Overall a great experience.

Comfortable Boots -
Nice looking boots that are relatively comfortable. No problems with fit, however, the top cuff hits right at the top of the ankle bone and kind of digs in a little which can be unpleasant. If you float between a full size and half size, definitely go with the larger of the two. I typically wear an 8.5, except in some shoes I wear a 9. A 9 was necessary here.

Very Good Hiking Boot -
Although I bought this boot for summer motorcycle riding, I sometimes end up spending all day in them. After my first all day wearing I think there will be more. Boot was very comfortable, almost like wearing your house shoes all day!

 |  | Super Boots, Incredible Service - I totally love my boots. I am 60 years old with lots of foot issues so I searched for low heels and width. My boots came in a flash and I was very excited to try them on, but alas, one boot was clearly not wide enough while the other was perfect! I called Zappos and spoke to a fabulous young woman, who was an obvious poster child for great customer service! A new pair of boots arrived in two days and was a perfect fit on both feet! The boots are made of smooth soft leather and look very stylish! I am sure I will be wearing them for several years. Last week I received a postcard from my customer service rep. She not only wished me well in my new boots, but referenced the great party I was to attend in these boots. Wow! Now that is customer service with a personal touch.
