Ordering my hard to find style and size Red Wing shoes was extremely simple at Zappos. The price was significantly better than similar quality brands at local shoe stores. I was told that I should receive my order in seven to ten days, they arrived in four. World's best place to get Red Wing shoes, much better than Red Wing store in the Willowbrook Mall. With free shipping both ways, how can you go wrong? I will always order from Zappos in the future.

This shoe was perfect. Roomy enough in the toes not to bother foot issues and soft leather so no rubbing. Comfortable right out of the box, no breaking in required.

Very lightweight shoe. Has a soft leather upper and a long-wearing sole. Extremely comfortable as I wear them all the time. They do not make my legs and feet feel tired. Extremely pleased with this shoe. I have owned Red Wings before and they lasted a long time. Very well made. The only problem I had was the web site offered them in AA width and received a B (narrow) width. Contacted Customer Service and they responded quickly. Said that was the only way the came in a narrow width. They were very helpful and courteous. One of the best Customer Service I've talked to. I was afraid they only came in a B width as I had checked them out at a local store. Nothing seriously wrong. They work and a lot better than what I have been getting. These are the closest fit I can find. Everybody else has D and occasional C width. Having a soft leather upper makes it impossible to polish to a high gloss finish. All in all I am very pleased with these and will definitely buy again. Thanks to my wife who recommended Zappos.

Great shoes! I work in and outside in Chicago, and these shoes answer the bell. They were a bit more narrow than other shoes, and I changed mine in for the wide. Love 'em.

I had a pair of generic work boots fall apart on me, so I decided to find something in between that can hang with business attire and allow me to occasionally lift equipment through the rain and snow. These fit the bill perfectly so far. They are incredibly comfy, and when they get too scuffed up, I can throw some nice leather polish on them and they look like new. It looks like Red Wing has been good with their quality control because they haven't fallen apart yet!

Great shoes for someone with foot trouble -
I have significant problems with my feet, and these shoes are extremely light weight, the leather is very soft, the cushioning around the ankle is comfortable, and I was able to order them in narrow width. I am very glad I bought them.

Blisters -
This shoe causes horrible blisters on your heels. This is the first Red Wing shoe to do this to me. I wore the shoes for a day and then threw them away--that bad!

Top quality goods -
This is a beautiful, high-quality shoe with a great fit. The leather is soft and shiny like an expensive wallet. You could wear it anywhere, like on a job interview, and yet it is not boring-looking, partly because of the narrow mid-section. They are not quite as comfortable as I had hoped, I would have liked more cushioning, but you can't have everything.

Huge blister -
I bought these shoes for my husband and he can't wear them; he got a huge blister on his heel. Very disappointed. He has worn these shoes for years and this style is not good.

If you need a conservative-looking shoe get this one -
Dorky on the outside, but about the most comfortable shoe you could wear on the inside. If you are in a work situation that requires you to wear a "hard" shoe, this should be the one.

Finally, a shoe that fits.
The 4E width version of this shoe is spectacular. It fits my foot perfectly, which is more than I can say for any shoe I've worn in the last 5 years. The ONLY downside to this shoe is a lack of padding on the rear of the shoe, so while it's breaking in the back of your heel may get a bit raw. It's otherwise an amazing shoe. The leather is super high quality as well, I've worn them for about a month though and there isn't a single scuff on them. They still look brand new.

Second pair of Red Wings I’ve tried; great support good when you’re on your feet all day. First day I wore them was to work I brought a spare pair of shoes with me because they seemed a little stiff. After working about 10 hours in them, I kept them on went shopping with my wife.

Best shoe company ever!
I have never been disappointed in any of the Red Wings I have ever owned and the Porter shoe is the best yet. I spend 10 hours a day on a casino floor and my feet are never tired at the end of the day. The look is great for casual or formal attire. The fit and feel is like a pair of soft deerskin gloves. No break-in required as I had the shoes on 10 hours the first day out of the box. Thinking about buying a second pair in brown. Go Zappos for the great service!

Great Shoes in a Narrow Width -
Wonderful shoe. Outstanding service. I wear a 10B but in some casual shoes need a .5 size larger. Because I can order both 10 and 10.5 B's to compare them and kept the 10.5. They were ordered on a Thursday night and appeared at my office Friday about 4:30. Outstanding! Can wear with a cotton crew sock, reasonable arch and very comfortable. Did I mention they are a B width which is becoming more and rare, but hey we are out here! When the New Tan color comes in I will most likely buy that color, too. Thanks Zappos!
