These are very comfortable shoes. I had to go down 1/2 a size to have them fit. They seem to break down very quickly and lose any support they had. The egg crate shoe insert starts to slip and needs frequent adjusting. I finally gave up and put a different insert in them. I have had the sole of the shoe peel off the shoe. And they are extremely noisy. They squeak with every step. If it wasn't so difficult for me to find wide shoes, I would stop wearing these to the office. I have read one other review that stated the same thing. However, there are many reviews of people who love the shoe.

I'm not one to wear shoes all day long, until I received these shoes. They are the best! I have a heel problem that requires support. Look no further; this is the shoe for us. The padding is perfect. I'm not a shoe person, but this is the shoe for me.

I liked these shoes except for a couple of items. The first was the egg crate insert that came with them. That insert made the toe area so snug that it was uncomfortable. When I replaced it with a different insert, it was still snug but more tolerable. I wound up removing all inserts. I don't like my toes being cramped. The second bothersome issue related to support. These shoes have very little if any arch support. It wasn't too much of a problem for me, but I think it would have been nice to have a little bit (more). Except for the lack of space in the toe box with the insert and the lack of arch support, my only other complaint comes from the quality of the material on the bottom of the heel. After a month, the rubber (or whatever it was) started peeling and ripping off. I have never had that problem with another pair of shoes, so I can only believe that the problem is with these shoes in particular. I dealt with it for as long as I could, but after one shoe had completely lost the heel bottom covering and I spent a bit of time walking on a steel shank, I took them to a cobbler for repair. All in all, not a bad pair of shoes. If I had it to do over again, though, I think I would probably choose something different. The issues I've had have been far more than I normally deal with for a pair of shoes. If it weren't for the style of the shoes, I might well have given up long ago.

Great classic look for work and extremely comfortable. I always have good luck with this brand. Love the stitching on the side, coordinate nicely with a Coach purse that I have. As usual, Zappos delivered in about 24 hours. I continue to be a very satisfied customer!

The most comfortable shoe I\'ve ever owned!!! My only complaint is the squeeking noise they make and how loud they are on different surfaces (like a heavy boot) but well worth it for the look and comfort.

These shoes are super comfortable. I spend most of my work day on my feet either walking or standing and these shoes were still comfortable even after spending over ten hours in them. \r\nZappos speedy delivery, reasonable prices and customer service overall makes them one of the very best internet-based companies.

Shoes are beautiful, unfortunately did not fit correctly. Size 8 purchased but falling off my feet. I have bad ankle, wear orthotics, was hoping I could use in these shoes but sides are much too soft. Alas, will have to return for those reasons. Shoes are very comfortable otherwise and very well made and are a great design.

These are super comfortable, though a little wide. They also seem to run big; I am usually a 9.5, but the 9 fits better in these. I would recommend going a half size (maybe a full size?) down. But as far as loafers go, these are pretty stylish and look well-made. Great for work.

They fit and they're comfortable. These shoes are as close to stylish as I am going to get with my high arch-high instep daisy-duck wide foot. They fit, they were comfortable to walk in, thanks to an extra padded liner that came with them. They occasionally sighed when I walk in them, but I think that is the liner, and I sort of expected it when I saw it, because at my weight I am bound to squish out any air that is in the cushion. I am planning to wear these to a conference, and am just glad I don't have to wear dress pants with black sneakers to be comfortable, as my boss's boss is going to be there. Wahoo! Professional looking shoes, that fit! Yay! Thanks again Zappos, you guys never fail me! You don't know the pain I lived in trying to stretch wide width shoes to EE width before I found you guys. You are my heroes!

Very comfortable from the beginning. No break-in needed. Less clunky than a normal penny loafer shoe, but great with pants. The inner pad is like a pillow-top bed. It is very cushioned, but also does not allow a lot of breathing around your foot (if you are in hot weather). I noticed the pad started to slip a little after a few wears, so it appears to be removable without damaging the shoe and can probably be permanently attached with glue or two-sided tape.

The right shoe was significantly narrower than the left, a problem I\'ve not encountered before. Likely an abberation but that, along with the too-clunky-looking heel, was a deal breaker. I truly appreciate, though, Zappos easy returns. `makes it easy to shop. Thank you!

I bought the wide version of this shoe in my usual size, and it was way too big. I went down a full size, and that was still a little too roomy. The best thing about this shoe is the heel-it is high enough to look dressy but shock-absorbing and comfy to walk on. The leather is thin and a seems cheap. I will keep these shoes till they wear out, but that might not be long.

These shoes are amazingly comfortable. The first two days I wore them I was standing and facilitating for long periods of time, and my feet were happy. They're decent looking, though not ones that will make a fashion statement.

Most comfortable penny loafer -
Was looking for a comfortable wide width penny loafer that looked nice. Looked everywhere and finally found this one. It's so comfortable. I can wear it all day and into the evening without any problems.

This is a very comfortable shoe but the heel is a little wider than I needed so I must made some adjustment there. Doesn't feel like you are wearing a higher heeled shoe so that is good. The egg crate foam cushioning helps with the fact I have no natural arch. Good shoe for someone with rheumatoid arthritis.

Very very comfortable shoes. Definitely works for standing on your feet all day in 2 inch heels. I feel the size runs big. I ordered a 5 1/2 size, but I need 2 pairs of dress socks to make it fit just right...thinking I should have ordered a size 5. * I recommend buying 2 sizes (size you wear & 1 size smaller) - knowing you will have to return the one that does not fit.

Not the shoes for me!
This shoe is pretty good looking, but slightly more casual than others. It is also not true black - just a little lighter.
The fit is a frustration. The toe fits ok, but is tight by the end of the day. The heel is much too wide! So, with each step I walk out of the shoes. I had to add two heel liners just to keep them on.
They're also supposed to be comfortable. This translates into a super flexible sole - which gives no support. On a walk to the Metro, I feel like my arches will cave! And I only live two blocks from the Metro.
Maybe it's me, but I regret having worn these outside and being stuck with them!

Glad I found these -
I'm picky about shoes so I didn't expect these would be comfortable, but even wearing them all day was fine. They didn't rub or slip or hurt. I really like the look - classic and versatile - and they are very well made. The inside is well finished so no raw edges rub. The heels are on the high side for me, so that adds a bit of pressure on the front of my foot, but with the lush insole and a good fit, that's okay. Size is subjective, but FYI, I chose a 10 narrow because the 10 medium and the 10 1/2 narrow both slipped a little bit. The leather is firm (not stiff) so it hugs my foot, which is what I wanted. VERY supportive.

Fantastic Shoe -
Fits snug like a glove, even messed up my pedicure, but it was worth it!! I wore them all day long and they were as comfortable at the end of the day as at the beginning. I'm heavy so this type of all day comfort in a heel is unusual. I'll order them in another color.
