I've worn nothing but these sandals since I bought them 4 months ago, because now no other shoe seems comfortable compared to these. I have a very wide foot and painful bunions, but these sandals stretch in all the right places. I can walk all day in these and even run.

Very happy with the shoes. Love the weight and the closed toe. This is my first pair of Keen sandals, and I now understand why people are so happy with them. They are comfortable and versatile.

Comfortable out of the box. Wear barefoot or wear with socks. Cool (as in air flow) option for bicycle riding too. These have retired my Birkenstocks that I wore for decades; great toe protection. My first pair delaminated after 7-8 months. Keen ignored my inquiry (I only asked what kind of glue to use to bond the upper to the lower). I was not expecting a replacement, but amazing Zappos stepped up and replaced with new shoes even though my older ones were way beyond any warranty period. Free shipping, too. I don't know what's up with Keen, but they make a good shoe.

I bought these for my husband for Father\'s Day. He loves them, and reports that they sre very comfortable and fit him perfectly. I knew that they would -- I have three pairs of Keens in my closet, and they are all very comfortable and wonderful for travel.

This is the second pair of these I've owned. I like the cushioning and support versus other sandal type shoes I've owned. They do tend to get sweaty (more so than flip flop perhaps) and after a while, they tend to stink because of that. However, once broken in, I find them a fantastic all purpose summer shoe.

Very comfortable, true to size, this is my 4th pair of Keens I wear them all year; find the leather more comfortable than the nylon. The sandals seem to be a truer fit than the Keen shoes which I find too small. I wear size 14.

Great Everyday Shoe...
This is the second pair of Laguna's I bought. Still have the first one, but wanted a second pair just in case they stopped making these awesome shoes. I'm usually a sandals person, so these Laguna's goes great anywhere. Took them to the Narrow's trail in Zion National Park and they held up nicely.

Versatile shoe-sandal, but not for serious hiking or water -
I was between sizes for the Keen Newport, but with this shoe, I went with the bigger size, and am fairly happy with the fit. Seems that the Laguna has more material to it, so you need a little extra space. This shoe/sandal is a great "vacation" shoe, because you may be able to get away without carrying an extra pair of shoes. I could wear these at night to a decent restaurant with a nice pair of trousers, whereas I would think twice about wearing Birks in the same situation. However, though the rubber sole seems rugged, you will feel all the bumps in the road if you go on a rugged trail with small rocks/uneven surfaces. Smooth trails, even with incline, are fine. Also, though it is sold as a "waterproof" shoe, after you get it totally wet (particularly at the beach, with sand), it's basically unwearable until it dries out - but it will dry out just fine. Stick to your Crocs/thongs for beach and pool wear. Not sure about wearing this shoe in really hot climates - it does keep your feet warmer than you'd expect. But that makes this a perfect shoe for a cooler day when you don't want to hassle with socks. Lastly, it has good, but not Birk-like, arch support. Overall, cool shoe that I'm happy to own.

Love the Laguna!
First Impressions. Going on a canyon backpacking trip soon. I will be hiking in and out of a creek for several miles. I got these shoes so I would only have to take one pair of shoes (dry hiking/wet hiking). They are extremely comfortable! There are no areas inside the shoe that rub or feel awkward. The arch support is really good for a shoe of this type. These shoes fit to my foot great. The only small negative to these shoes so far is they are hard to get on. The heel strap is not adjustable or disconnectable making them a challenge to put on. However this is probably why they fit so good. Also I usually wear an 11 and these required an 11.5.

Awesome Shoe!!!
This is a great shoe! I work at a hospital and am on my feet a lot. Since I've started wearing these shoes, I've haven't had the back and hip pain I'd usually have after a long day. I like the look of the shoe, it's durable, and it let's your feet breathe. You don't have to worry about laces becoming untied either. I'm glad I was introduced to them. Thanks Keen!

My husband loves Keen's -
I bought these for my husband's birthday. He needed a new pair - one that was not covered in deck stain, etc. He wears Keen's all the time. They are great around water, in the yard, with chinos for everyday...I ordered a half size larger than his shoe size because they do run small, but I knew that from my previous purchase. The only shoe my husband has ever really liked.

I love my other two pairs of Keens. These are not quite as soft and smooth on the interior...but I am hoping this will improve as I break them in.

Good shoes, they do run a bit wide (which is a good thing for me). I wear mine all the time and have put many miles on them. They are comfortable and I think a good purchase for me.

I took these shoes on my honeymoon to Hawaii, they work great in water "except the ocean" and seem to dry quickly. They are now my favorite shoes!

Like the rest of the Keen line, this Laguna is a great shoe. It maintains Keen's near-perfect eye for combining form and function. The addition of a fifth cross-over strap makes for a fit that is more snug than the classic Newport leather shoe.

Excellent except for the toe ridges -
I tried a pair at a store and took them home and have been wearing them for awhile. At the store I noticed a funny “cutting” feeling under my toes in both shoes, but figured it was just in my head. Now having worn them for a few hours at home, I have found that the source of this uncomfortable feeling is a vertical ridge running across the front of the shoe just under the toe area about 1.5 inches back from the end of the shoe. It cuts into your foot/toe bottoms and gets more and more painful over time. Other than that deal breaker, the shoes are really well put together. The lacing and leather is really good quality, the soles are nicely stiff. Except for the toe ridge ruining the shoe for me, it is an exceptional shoe. If you are lucky and your toes match the ridge, you will love them. If you are 99% of the others out there, then it will likely be a problem for you, too.

Old to new -
I bought this pair to replace the similar styled Keens I have been enjoying for five years. The new model has only minor improvements, but they are almost all for the better. The shoe is slightly more snug (a good thing), but this makes it a bit more difficult to slip into. Overall this is a great shoe for relaxing... and even for summer hiking over fairly rough ground.

Superb refinements to the classic Keen Newport -
I've become something of a Keen freak over the years with six pair in the closet and one - the Lagunas - currently on my feet. I've got two pair of Newport sandals that I have worn for years for everything from teaching school to heavy construction. I've even cinched the elastic laces down real tight and played tennis in them. They worked really well thanks to grippy soles and that big, black toe rand that is, in my opinion, a stroke of genius. For comfort, versatility, and durability, these sandals can't be beat. Little wonder the Newport has become the flagship of the Keen line. The Laguna seems to answer the question, "How can we take the Newport and make it even better?" The improvements are subtle, but they all add up: a suede footbed that is a little more comfortable for bare feet than the smooth leather of the Newport; an upgraded fabric lining with a tiny bit more padding - not that there was anything wrong with the Newport lining; a fifth "up-strap" that provides a closer fit around the ankle and more stability for hiking, construction, or tennis; and the five "up-straps" are cut from a single piece of leather that gives the sides of the sandal more stability and provides more protection to the foot under gnarly conditions. There is considerably less open area for ventilation compared to the Newport, but I can't tell any difference in comfort - my feet stay as cool and dry in the Lagunas as they do in the Newports. I wear a size 14 and the Lagunas fit perfectly. Ditto the new Portales. Maybe Keen has started taking "true to size" more seriously with these new designs than they did in the "old days". Basically, I live in these things. I wear them sockless in the summer with light merino wool socks the rest of the year and with heavy ski socks if it is really cold or wet. All the materials are incredibly tough and durable and if they get dirty or a little funky, you can throw them in the washing machine and they come out looking like new. Best, most functional shoe ever for me!

Great Shoes!
A friend was wearing these and loved them, so I ordered a pair for myself. They're exceptionally comfortable, and I had no trouble breaking them in. The only issue I've had with them is that the soles of my feet get really warm sometimes when I wear them.
