Soft comfort -
Wish the website would show the shape of the footbed from above and would be able to tell if certain Mephisto’s would fit.
If you fit a Helen, you will fit this shoe, although the footbed is very soft compared to the Helen cork bed. There is very little arch support.

Superb Comfort -
I searched for months to find the perfect sandal to wear sightseeing in Europe. While looks are important, comfort was the ultimate goal. I found both in this Mephisto sandal. The style is sleek and sophisticated, not clunky. It doesn't scream "comfort sandal". The thin sole offers more than enough cushion and support. The leather is soft and supple. I appreciate the adjustable buckle since I have high arches. I wear a size 8 in most shoes. I needed a 39 in these. I wore them all over Europe. They were a dream sandal. The comfort was superb! Not a single pinch or rub mark. I walked all day and not once did I experience any foot aches or pains! Several times I found myself noting how comfy my sandals were! Yes, these are pricey, but I didn't want sore, achy feet to ruin my European vacation. Thanks, Zappos, for making my purchase so easy! Your superior customer service guarantees I'll be back for more!

Immediate favorites -
These are my new favorite shoes. I love Mephistos. I have 6 pair now and even the oldest ones are still in good condition. The Affia is the cutest one yet. And really comfortable right out of the box. I was worried the light-colored footbed might be a problem, but it hasn't gotten dirty at all. Excellent shoe. The style is just a little bit different from other Mephistos to make it unique.

Cute, but not enough big toe room - I love the jungle print! The footbed was really soft, but my big toes were jammed into the toe area, which was not going to "give" any time soon. Too expensive to need break in time. Back they go.

Great shoe! I wanted an everyday shoe for summer and I found it with these!!! They are so comfortable and easy to slip into. Zappos service is one of a kind. I ordered too big and 15 hours later, they had the replacement size at my door. Amazing!

I've just started to have some pain in my heel; I'm being careful to wear better shoes and just purchased these. They are most comfortable and highly recommend for comfort and sleek European style. They are true to size.

Not as comfy as Helen -
This sandal is better for a narrow foot, if your foot is wide - get Helen. Other than that it is pretty and comfy. Also - quality is not as nice as Helen.

Love/Hate Relationship -
So I have a love/hate relationship with these shoes. They are extremely comfortable when you first put them on and when you're not doing a lot of walking. However, every time I wear them to do a significant amount of walking all over the city, I get blisters and they rub certain areas raw (on my toe, heel, and tops/sides of my feet). I bought them for a trip to Europe, but now I think I'll keep them for when I'm not doing lots of walking.

This is the perfect sandal. A little pricey but well worth it. They fit well, are quite comfortable and look good. Saving up to buy another pair in a different color.

WOW what a great shoe!!!!
Just got these today in Zebra great fit, truly comfy out of the box and they look wonderful. If you have foot problems or just like very comfortable shoes, then these are for you.

Great sandal -
The Mephisto Affia is a comfortable sandal to wear. I am disabled and walk with a cane; these have an adjustable buckle, and hold the foot in so there is no slippage. The footbed is padded nicely.

Stylish and Comfortable -
This is my second pair of Mephistos and the new lighter sole makes these shoes a dream to wear. The color I ordered, Steel Pearl, is a beautiful shade, almost iridescent that goes with everything. I'm thinking of buying this great shoe in other colors.

Light colored insole a problem -
The shoe is comfortable and good looking. However, the light color of the insole seems to attract soil regardless of how clean the feet are. Though I've only worn this shoe a couple of times, I fear that the insole will become dingy and dirty looking as it has already started to soil a bit.

Sweet! An absolute winner -
That's it; I'm getting rid of all my clunky Stonefly shoes. These are comfortable right out of the box, look very stylish, and are incredibly lightweight. I don't want to take them off! I have big feet (size 12) so finding snazzy comfortable shoes that don't make my feet look like gunboats is a real rarity. They felt a tad snug when I first put them on, then warmed up and relaxed within a few minutes (hot days). Love them! Now if they only made a pump...

I wanted this shoe!
I had ordered this shoe from another company and found it was not to size but ran small; I consequently had it shipped two additional times, and it did not fit. (This other company sent the same size twice.) Finally, I checked the shoe on Zappos; they did not have it but offered to notify me if it came in. I gave up on the shoe, but WOW, it came in and I had it the next day. I am taking the shoes on vacation to the Virgin Islands -- happy girl am I!!

A great sandal -
This is such a great shoe. It's the first time I've invested in Mephistos, and they are so worth it. They are so comfortable, and fancy enough to wear to work. I have pretty wide feet, and they fit comfortably.

Great fit, usually wear an 8, but in Mephisto I always order 37 and it is a perfect fit. Looks great and feels great.
