I bought these for my toddler for the summer. I wanted something cooler, more open, but at the same time wanted his toes protected. He has an extremely large build and feet to go along with it. He can only wear Stride Rite because of the wide feet. The local Stride Rite dealer has always measured him with a width of XW or wider. This shoe only came in W, but I gave it a try. Great move. They are more open than regular t-shoes and they fit him great. A great in between shoe. He wore them both with and without socks. Great look and fit. He loves to wear them. If you have a child with extra wide feet, TRY THESE. He has almost outgrown them and hating that. Hopefully we will find this or an equal shoe for next summer. Great shoe, great fit, great service from Zappos!!! My favorite place to shop for shoes!!! Moms, keep up the reviews. I look to them constantly for moms of other little wide footed toddlers!!!

Great summer play shoe - I love this style. It protects my son's toes so he can run and play, and it's cool. Best of all, it's easy to get on. The width was also great – he has a wide foot.

GREAT PAIR OF SANDALS!
I got these for my son and he loves them! They are very comfortable and I love the fact that his feet were able to breathe and be protected plus these sandals are so versatile. He had them on during our camping trip up by Yosemite and was able to walk around in them all day with no issues. He even had them on when we went swimming and they are quick to dry. The greatest part is they are easy to slip on and off. I will definitely be ordering an extra pair.

Excellent sandal!
This is a fantastic sandal that operates like a sneaker. With the closed toe my seven year old can play soccer, yet the sandal-like airiness keeps his foot cool and comfortable. He is extremely picky when it comes to style and he is thrilled with this shoe. Also the two velcro straps (one on top and one in the back) are great for his narrow feet. Thank you Zappos!!

Light and airy -
We have tried four pairs of sandals and chose this one. It's a light shoe, the velcro closings are practical. Ideal trainer for the summer.

Great Shoe!
My son has orthotics and it is hard to find a summer shoe that he can wear them with. But this shoe is perfect! A hybrid between a tennis shoe and sandal, it fits great and is very comfortable for him. The adjustable strap behind the ankle is perfect for ensuring a good fit. And Zappos delivered again, it was shipped the day I ordered and I received it the very next day!

My son loves this shoe -
My son loves this shoe. He has wide feet and this sandal/sneaker (in wide, of course) fits him well, in true Stride Rite tradition. The sandal works well with socks or barefeet. And while the shoes breathe, there is enough coverage for me to feel comfortable with my son doing rough and tough play in them. To boot, they are very cool-looking. My son especially loves the Superball sole.
