I\'ve had two pairs of the previous model of this shoe, both of which were good, but not great. The last bit the dust when the velcro attachments on one wore out after less than a full year of wear. I liked them enough to give Brooks another try. The new model is significantly better. They fit better and are much more comfortable. I\'m hoping that the velcro problem has been corrected too. I really like these shoes.

I am very happy that I bought this pair of shoes. They are very light, at the same time very comfortable. The straps are so convenient.

This is a great shoe. I work as a nurse all day on my feet and this shoe has made a big difference. Wish it came in a little wider width, but fit is true to size. Good for those of us working on hard floors all day long. Cleans up nice, too. Love my straps; no shoe strings to come untied.

This is our fourth pair of shoes that we've purchased from Zappos. My wife and I are both delighted with the shoes and the service that we have received from Zappos. We will be back!

Great pair of shoes!!
I have had the Brooks Addiction Walker V-Strap shoes for a couple of months now and they are very comfortable. No break in needed. Felt great right out of the box. Good arch support and plenty of room in the toe box. I am going to buy another pair for when these wear out. Hope this helps.

Exceeds prior high standard -
This redesigned walker is hard to fault. I owned three pairs of its predecessor design and a couple of the version with laces. This model added padding to the tongue, shortened the velcro straps so they are not excessively long and made structural changes that make an already great support shoe even better. The toe box is large, making the shoe suitable for diabetics. The shoes are comfortable out of the box and every pair I have bought has fit exactly the same. The manufacturer and Zappos both have very reasonable approaches to returns, should you find you ordered the wrong size. I was amazed how fast the pair I ordered from Zappos arrived.
Other brands recommended by reviewer: New Balance has some that are almost as good, but shop carefully for correct support type.

 |  | Zappos rocks, you so made my nine year old son’s day. We went looking for new DC shoes last Sunday and spent 3 hours only to find out that his shoe size was 6.5 right between boy’s and men's. The stores had no selection in either. We were told by one salesperson that most boys skip that size so they don't carry many. He was very disappointed, I suggested ordering from you guys that night and he didn't want to wait for shipping. I told him Zappos was quick, but he wanted to try stores again, so we did on Tuesday evening and came home empty handed again. We got online, ordered a pair he liked (there were so many to chose from in the size we needed) at 9:30 that night. Of course he was all about when would they be here, again I told him how quick you are at shipping and that probably Thursday at the latest Friday. He came home from school on Wednesday and they were on the front porch. He was so happy!!! Loved the shoes and can't wait to order another pair. I have told other people how fast they got here and no one believes that is even possible. I don't know how you do it, but thanks so much. You're the best.
