Zappos is simply the best! They have a great selection in all brands and hard to find sizes that I wear. I could not believe how fast my new shoes arrived and with out any charges. The Brooks Addiction Walker is one of the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. I have very particular needs for shoes, and the Addiction Walker looks more dressy than a casual tennis shoe while still helping with my over-pronation issues that led to constant rolling ankles. No more with these! Try the Beast as well for even more protection in that regard, though quite a bit less dressy looking.

Very good fit and great for walking. One problem is the bad odor of the shoes. Sent first pair back due to the smell of the shoes after opening the box which did not deteriorate after letting them sit in the garage overnight. Assumed something had to be wrong. Received second pair with same strong smell. Took a chance that the odor would wear off quickly. Have owned for a few weeks now, shoes still very comfortible but some of the bad odor still lingering on.

I can buy these shoes several places locally. In fact, Brooks, the company that makes them, is located about 7 miles from my house. But I still prefer to buy from Zappos. The great usability of the website and the extreme speed of service is too good to pass up. About the shoes: I buy Brooks walkers because I'm very flat-footed and need a "motion control" shoe. The Brooks are great, and can pass for a casual, business shoe. I never used to like the way the rubber sole would wrap up in front of the toe, especially since it would come un-bonded at the top edge and look bad. The design has been changed now for the better. The wrapped area up front is much lower profile and seems to be bonded better.

I\'ve had surgery on both feet and suffer from chronic heel pain. I wear custom orthotics. I\'ve tried many many shoes and these are the best for my feet. They are by far the most comfortable shoes I\'ve found. My only complain is they are not good on slick surfaces. During the winter here in Chicago when there is snow and ice I have to wear something else or wear overshoes. Other than that I have no complaints about these shoes. This is my second pair in brown. I wore the first pair for several years and wore them out. I also own a pair in black.

I\'ve bought several pairs. Very good fit for me, but that depends on your foot. \r\n Zappos service is excellent. They sent this item overnight at the standard free shipping rate. I couldn\'t believe it was there on my doorstep Thursday, after ordering late Wednesday night. Returns are easy, too.

Exactly what we needed and just in time! My husband has severe over pronation which has compromised his ankle (he nearly walks on his anklebone!). Since he works for a school district in the administration office, using the wonderful Brooks Beast sneakers is not an option. But these shoes are the closest we can find to the support of a sneaker, yet still almost appearing as a casual shoe. We are truly relieved that Brooks was able to come up with this compromise in support and appearance. Thanks, Brooks!

Wore every other day for 3 weeks while touring in Europe. Very comfortable and supportive. When brand new were slippery on wet surfaces; this diminished when broken in.

The lab technician who made my shoe inserts also recommended Brooks, but the shoes were hard to come by, as Brooks was behind on its inventory. The local shoe store did not have my size and would not for up to two months. Enter Zappos! I was fortunate to find my style and size here and had them the next day at no extra charge. I see why the shoe was recommended, and I am now hooked on the brand. As always, Zappos came through.

I have been wearing this pair of Addiction Walkers for a little over 2 months. They are incredibly comfortable. I have low arches and use orthotic inserts, and these shoes are great with them. I also have wide feet, and these 4E extra wide are perfect. This is my second pair of Addiction walkers (had a pair in 2006) with several other shoes in between (New Balance, Drew, and others), but these have been very good each time, and I am glad I came back to them. I wear these to work and casually. I highly recommend Brooks Addiction Walker 08.

The Addiction is the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn. As I age, my feet are getting wider and arches are falling. This shoe, in its wider version, allows room for my toes while still being snug enough to prevent my heels slipping out of the back of the shoe. Brooks thought of everything! Hope they never quit making this model.

These Brooks shoes have been extremely comfortable. I have owned these shoes for almost a year and have walked lots for the past 6 weeks, over 5 miles a day on the weekends. These shoes have been great. My foot is a 12 4E and they fit well. I took several steps in a 4" puddle and my surprise my feet stayed dry. The HPR soles are durable and not wearing down like other shoes. The sole is also shaped for walking. I also like the NB 925, but these shoes are a little lighter in the toe and just as comfortable. I am going to order another pair.

I have tried every walking shoe made and they now sit in my closet, practically in brand new shape. Only when I discovered Brooks Addiction Walkers did I continue my daily four mile walks in painless comfort. I live in these shoes and I recommend them to anyone with my condition or anyone who does a lot of walking or standing.

I ordered this shoe based on all of the reviews I read. It seemed to be a quality shoe, but did not have as much cushioning as I expected. The main complaint I have is the heel area was too large and my foot slipped out when walking. I returned them because I think there are better shoes out there. I am trying Asics and Saucony next.

Support and comfort -
I need a comfortable walking shoe that is passable for a business casual office. I've had decent experiences in the past with New Balance walking shoes. I have a wide foot and am an overpronator, so when I saw these are specifically designed for overpronators, I thought I should give them a try. After a few weeks, they are very comfortable, possibly the most comfortable walking shoes I've ever worn. The fit is stiff but well-padded, as you might expect for a shoe that is trying to maximize support. Like the New Balance, I would have ideally liked the appearance to be slightly dressier for the office, but they are good enough. When I get my next pair of athletic shoes, I am definitely going to check out other models from Brooks.

Fantastic Shoe For Flat Feet -
These shoes were recommended to my husband by a pedorthist for his extremely flat feel. His feet have hurt him for over 10 years. I bought them for him as a present and these fantastic shoes have completely changed his life. He can now walk almost unlimited distances with no pain. He had tried many, many other shoes with no success. These shoes fit snugly around the arch and across the bridge of the foot and he claims that makes all the difference for a person with flat feet. He had to go a full size larger than normal, but then bought the narrow width in order to keep the support for his arch and the orthotic he wears in the shoe. He talks about how fantastic these shoes are all the time and how they changed his life. He says "there is no better shoe in the world for flat feet" and that he wished he'd found them 10 years ago. He has since bought another pair.

I was a little worried about size when I ordered these shoes, because I had never ordered shoes online before. I went to the local shoe store and had my foot measured. I came home and ordered the Brooks Addiction in the same size that I was measured and I am thrilled having just tried them on. This might be the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn, and they are not even broken in yet. I am a heavy set nursing student with wide flat feet, and these shoes "fit" every aforementioned category! I also have back trouble, and I am amazed at how even my back is feeling better having worn these shoes. If you have a job that you are on your feet all day, you should definitely try these. A+

Brooks All Leather -
The all leather holds up well. I kneel a lot on hard surface, so it is important for the toe area to be strong and this shoe does meet those needs. I ordered a larger size to accommodate orthotics. The color white gets dirty fast, but shows less scuffing than black, which I wear not during work hours.

This is the fourth major shoe of this type that I tried. Finally I got one that fit right and had very soft leather that didn't "break" across my toes painfully when I knelt down. I needed only about three days to break them in properly. I am a nurse on a busy floor and this shoe does the trick, more so than the New Balance brand.
