Great look... Very uncomfortable -
Received as a gift. Have purchased a number of shoes from Zappos. The staff is great! Keeps me coming back to order more. Great look, bad fit. Should let people know that they should get a 1/2 size larger if possible. Work in NYC. Constantly walking for my hotel sales job. Great shoes if you only have to wear them around the office on carpet and drive to and from work. I walk at least 7 miles a day, up and down stairwells from home to subway, many long blocks to and from work. Not the best buy or comfort for city living. One bad apple will not sway me from continuing to frequent Zappos. The good outweighs the bad.
Regards, Katherine B

Comfortable pretty much from the get go. I wore these walking all over LA and Seattle over the first two weeks I got them. Pretty great shoe for the price. When you wear them the first time or two, they squeak quite a lot, but it does die down. Simple. Not fancy or frilly, but kind of Audrey Hepburn and wonderful cut with toe cleavage if you have a slim leg.

The shoe felt comfortable, but I found that the top of the shoe was cut too far back and didn't feel it offered enough support. The shoe was a little snug in the front and I would have tried a half size larger, but was concerned I would have even less support.

Zero stars for comfort!
If I could have given this product zero stars for comfort, I would have! I've been searching for the perfect red ballet flat, but this is not it. I so wanted to love this shoe - it's so cute and the red is a nice deep color. I ordered my regular size, 8.5W, and could barely cram my foot in
let alone walk. So I ordered a half size up. The larger size works better, but is by no means comfortable for walking around all day - at least not for me. I was hoping they'd stretch a bit after a few wears, but that hasn't happened. Also, I noticed after just the first wear that the leather started to come off at the toe and heel - not merely scuffed, but actually shredding off. Oh well, live and learn - I will never buy another pair of Fitzwells again! Zappos, of course, rocks!

Cute and no arch. I recommend ordering a size up, which I did, and it was almost a snug fit. My feet were slightly too wide though (and boy, that makes all the difference for the long-term usage) and there is no cushioning in this shoe. That said, very cute, but if it's not a perfect fit, brace yourself for some painful breaking.

A few days of torture for cute, comfortable flats -
I have quite wide feet, and refuse to stuff them into tight shoes. But, I do appreciate current styles, so I will try out any wide shoe I can find. These looked promising, and the reviews all agreed - a few days to break them in, and Voila! Callie will be comfortable.
It's true. The first three days - OUCH!! Band-Aids were a de rigueur part of my shoe wardrobe. I actually took the shoes off and walked barefoot in Sam's Club, I was in that much pain.
But now, about 10 wearings later, I am in the shoes with bare feet, on a hot day, and I am very happy.
Wear socks and Band-Aids for at least five wearings so as not to risk a blister. These shoes are worth the trouble, because they don't gap like other ballet slippers on wide feet.

I love this sleek flat!
Everyone is right -- order a half size larger than your normal shoe size. This shoe is extremely comfortable. I love the rubber sole -- so grippy! The look is great -- lots of sexy arch and a bit of toe cleavage.

Not as cute as I'd like, but super comfy -
These shoes felt great right out of the box, soft leather and nice enough support for ballet flats, but I'm not crazy about the look. From other user reviews I expected more toe cleavage and I have long toes too. But they are a pretty average looking shoe, best suited for tromping around the city or wearing to work. I'm definitely pleased with the way they feel and the quality is worth the money. I'm still looking for another pair of perfect ballet flats to fit a dressier and more appealing look, these are reserved for work!

Shoe review -
I found that this brand runs small and short. The length does not fit my feet at all! The front cut into my foot, I gave them to a relative without wearing them. I will never buy this brand again. Its the second time I had the same problem.

This is a really great looking shoe. Even though the picture makes it looks a bit like a "wedge" -it really isn't -it's pretty flat. I ordered it in an 11 (my usual shoe size) but, while I can wear it, it seems a little tight so I'm hoping it will stretch a bit.

Good little black flat -
It's the perfect little black flat. Nice shape, cool toe cleavage. The only negative is don't believe the hype about the cushioned gel heel. There is like an ounce of gel in there and it doesn't make much of a difference. Not great shoes for a lot of walking, but perfect for the office or a night out. I've been wearing them a lot.

Nice shoe for wearing to the office - cute, modest style. Minimal toe cleavage, if any (and I have long toes!). The inside is a nude leather, so no strange color peeking out or weird metallic rub off. The sole on it is quite thick for a flat and likely to be more durable than most. Definitely order at least a half size up! Only issue I have with it is the back of the shoe sits really low on the heel, so it feels like it may come off when walking (so far this hasn't been the case).

Cute shoe, comfortable but squeaky -
This shoe is very comfortable. I teach and was looking for shoes I could be on my feet in all day. They are also stylish. However, I noticed the first day I wore them without socks and they were very squeaky. I think the patent leather just needs some time to break in. I took another reviewer's advice and wore them around my apartment with thick socks for a few hours before taking them "out on the road" and I think that helped the breaking in process. Recommend this shoe!

Very cute but very vague sizing.
After reading the reviews on Callie and with my experience from other shoes I tried from Fitzwell, I made sure to get a WIDE size for my otherwise medium-sized foot. My Nike running shoes are a 9.5 and I am usually between a 9 and 9.5 in dress shoe sizes.
However, Callie did not fit well at all, in spite of all my preparations. It fit well so long as I was sitting down, but any motion left blisters behind. I have to admit that I did have to sprint through midtown Manhattan to catch a train before I had a chance to break them properly. I got them to wear with my wedding gown but I am afraid that I will have to keep looking.

Second pair of these shoes!
Great sexy little flat. You will need to order 1/2 size up to have a good fit, but I now have these in black and red. Great ballet flat with toe cleavage makes them a sexy little shoe you will get looks when wearing. Love them!

Way smaller than size -
I just ordered these in red, and they look fabulous. They are, however, a full size smaller than marked. I'm normally a 9.5 or 10, and this size 10 was very small on my feet.

Kind of small -
As everyone else said, the shoe runs small. It is cute, but I bought it because I wanted a comfortable flat, and it's not all that comfortable because it's a little small.

Classic black patent ballerina flat -
This style, as well as the Fitzwell Caroline, is one of the cutest flats IMHO. If you're a big fan of toe cleavage, you will love this shoe. They break in nicely after a few wears and are very comfortable. You can't beat the price, and the service from Zappos.

Fitzwell - what's in a name?
First of all the name (Fitzwell - Fits Well?) it's not so! I am a size 7 on the narrow side and usually size 7 is perfect or even a bit loose. Well I listened to the reviews, thank you all by the way, and ordered a size 7.5M. This is extremely tight in the toes but the width is fine. So I am sending the size 7.5M back and I'm going to try one more time an entire size larger than normal with a size 8M. I'm crossing my fingers because I really love the style, it's super cute! Thank you Zappos for the great customer support. Youre the best Zappos!

The Broad Beamed Blubbery Big Shoe.
These shoes are so wide that I could have put a roll of nickels in with each foot and still had my heels rattle around. Yes, I have narrow feet, but now and then I get lucky with medium width shoes, so I thought I'd give these a try. No luck, this time.
If you have wide feet, this shoe would be a nice addition to your wardrobe. If you have narrow feet, you could send them back to Zappos (who are always so good with returns), or you could keep them and use them for planters.

Cute, but strange sizing -
After reading the reviews, I ordered these shoes in a 1/2 size larger than my normal size. The 7.5s were huge! Falling off my feet! So I re-ordered the 7 (my normal size) & they are almost too small! My toes feel crushed, but I am going to keep them in the hopes that they stretch to fit. The leather is really nice & I like the style- good toe cleavage, understated but modern look.

Summer in the city means (toe) cleavage -
While these shoes quite cushiony, the toe box is super short, making your toes feel squished, and resulting in a LOT of toe cleavage (don't get them if you are anti-toe cleavage). I'm hoping that because these shoes are leather (really nice, soft leather!), they'll stretch and get more comfortable as I keep wearing them. But they definitely look very cute, and are nicely priced. And as usual, Zappos service was excellent.

Callie -
My wife bought these to wear to work and asked me to submit her thoughts. The first time she wore them, she had serious blisters on the back of her heel for weeks. This is normal with new shoes as my wife has very sensitive skin, but unlike most shoes the patent leather on the Callie never loosened up or changed shape. She tried inserting Foot Petals' "Heavenly Heelz" which normally does the trick, but it still didn't help. If you wear socks all the time and have gnarly callous on your heel, these shoes may be for you. But if you have sensitive feet like my wife and wear your flats without socks like most women, avoid them. She owns another pair of Fitzwell's which she loves but this particular shoe caused nothing but grief.

Evidence not all in yet -
These perfect-looking little flats were bought by my daughter. She wore them without stockings and got a blister in back. I think when she tries them again with stockings they'll be better because the fit was certainly right and when she first put them on, she was very pleased with how they felt.

Uncomfortable at first...
BUT the leather is soft and supple and will basically stretch and mold to fit your foot. I was in awful pain the first day I wore these; they felt very small and rubbed my feet in the wrong places. For the next few days I wore them around my house with a pair of thick socks, and voila! Comfortable flats. I agree that they run small... particularly the length. If your feet are on the larger end of your size, definitely order a half size up. The toe box still feels a little snug to me but even with that little issue they are comfortable. Very pretty and lady-like even on big feet, and I happen to love the toe cleavage and think it's sexy.

 | | Dear Zappos,
I just wanted to let you know how amazingly great your customer service has been. I have ordered shoes for myself and my family recently, and you have gone out of your way to get them to us quickly, not to mention the help I've received when I need to make an exchange. My son is only 14 yrs. old, but he said, "If my shoes get here today (overnight!), I'm not ordering from anyone else. Sure enough, they arrived today!
Thank you again!
