Great shoes. Comfortable, I bought these 1/2 a size larger than I wear my sneakers and they fit perfectly. Am I the only one that doesn't care what shoes smell like? Leave them out to "air" for a day or two and the leathery smell fades away.

Comfortable from day one. Smell like creosote, but it decreases with time. Not nearly as strong after only a month. A very good looking and comfortable shoe.
Other brands recommended by reviewer: Bought a pair of Dockers later. Same style. Primo shoes

Decent shoe, once broken in -
First time Zappos purchase. I like the look of this shoe, but comfort leaves a bit to be desired. Arch support isn't great and the back of the shoe rubbed the back of my foot until it was raw. After breaking in the back of the shoe, comfort was better.
Also noticed a bit of the chemical or cleaning solution type of smell for the first few days of owning the shoe. This too has now gone away.

A very stylish and comfortable shoe at an excellent price. Delivery was prompt, and free overnight shipping is impossible to beat. Overall, an excellent shoe buying experience.

As other reviewers mentioned, this shoe does have a strong smell when brand new. It fades over time though. Overall I really like these shoes--they are stylish and are as comfortable as any dress shoe can be. I am considering buying the black ones now.

Every once in a while you buy a shoe that fits great immediately, looks great in the box and is just the color you were looking for. This is it. Very happy with this shoe and the size is exact. The color is exactly as shown. I will buy these again.

Pretty descent shoe -
I like these shoes rather well. I have seen that other people have complained about the smell. I agree with them that the shoes do have some sort of strong rubber smell. I put some dryer sheets in them to try to absorb some of the smell. It didn't work great, but it did a bit. It doesn't bother me that much as I don't wear these shoes every day. They don't make my feet smell that way after wearing them all day either.

I do love these, but there was the initial smell issue and they are also quite loud. Actually they are very loud. Still I have gotten plenty of comments about them.

Great shoes for the price. But I agree w/ other comments about the smell. It reminds me of a tire shop. I am experimenting w/ spraying different colognes on my heels...

Best/Smelliest shoe ever -
I have the black. I love this shoe, but what is with the smell???? It isn't going away, and I have had them for 2 months. They are very comfortable, look awesome, and have a great price, but man. Be aware if smells bother you. I am living with it.

Fantastic shoes -
Well, I have had these shoes for about a month now and they are great. I read some reviews about the smell of the leather and it pretty much went away after a week or so. Just don't take you foot out of the shoe and it won't stink.

I put them on and they were the first pair of shoes that felt good. Very classy and dependable. And they have good manners at the dinner table. They always wipe front to back.

I bought these shoes after returning some expensive Bass shoes, because these shoes are much more comfortable. The first night wearing the shoes, I had four people comment on how great they look. I love Zappos.com, and think that for the price, quality, and style of these shoes, they are perfect for anything. Don't buy some other expensive shoes, because you won't be disappointed with these!

I actually wear these everyday for work. I do a lot of running around and wished they could have been a little more comfortable. I ended up buying some insoles for them. Also, the leather has a smell to them I can’t describe… I can’t quit figure it out but you can sure get a whiff through out the day.

Cool dress shoe -
This is a very handsome, shoe. The leather is soft, and it looks much better in real life than it does on the pictures. I have only worn the shoes twice since I purchased them, but they feel comfortable and seem to be all that they were advertised to be.

Great value -
My girlfriend still complains about the smell of the leather! It is hard to find a full grain leather shoe with this quality for under $100. Good deal, I bought them in black as well. Recommend to those who like Kenneth Cole or similar.

 |  | Zappos rocks, you so made my nine year old son’s day. We went looking for new DC shoes last Sunday and spent 3 hours only to find out that his shoe size was 6.5 right between boy’s and men's. The stores had no selection in either. We were told by one salesperson that most boys skip that size so they don't carry many. He was very disappointed, I suggested ordering from you guys that night and he didn't want to wait for shipping. I told him Zappos was quick, but he wanted to try stores again, so we did on Tuesday evening and came home empty handed again. We got online, ordered a pair he liked (there were so many to chose from in the size we needed) at 9:30 that night. Of course he was all about when would they be here, again I told him how quick you are at shipping and that probably Thursday at the latest Friday. He came home from school on Wednesday and they were on the front porch. He was so happy!!! Loved the shoes and can't wait to order another pair. I have told other people how fast they got here and no one believes that is even possible. I don't know how you do it, but thanks so much. You're the best.
