Great shoes for an active boy! These look good and are rugged shoes for school/play. Love the fact that a 5-6 year old can put them on himself. Just wish the cords were a little shorter. He ends up tucking them in by the toes!

Hey! We are on our second pair of truckees for my twin boys (NO BETTER TEST OF ENDURANCE THAN BOYS IN PAIR). The last pair lasted an entire semester as their ONLY pair of school shoes. I was so pleased with the keens I did it again and bought them their ONE brave pair to head off to school with. I washed the last set on average 2 times a month IN THE WASH AND DRYER and they look perfect still, but were outgrown. So the new ones are off and with flying colors. I put my 5 year old girl in a pair this year to start kindergarten. No girl can have just one pair of shoes, but she might as well. She won't wear her pink mary janes, her black patent dressy shoes, or anything else. It's keens for my stallions and my princess. Momma's happy, they wear, I wash, the shoes keep going. YAY KEENS. Worth the price tag. You'd spend more replacing a lesser shoe before they actually outgrow them.

This is our first time ordering the Truckee, as we have previously always bought the Targhee. My tomboy daughter uses these for her camp and bad weather shoes. I think they are nicer looking than the Targhee although my daughter could go either way. We could not get the Targhee in the right size and color, which is why we ordered these. I would say they're both a great "all-weather"shoe. Very versatile.

Dealing with ZAPPOS is a breeze. This was my 4th purchase from them and could not be happier. I have not had to contact customer service for any reason. Keen footwear is the best for myself and my son. I am on my feet all day, every day, and Keen allows for comfort and durability while all the while looking good. As for the kids footwear this is my sons 3rd pair and he wears them every day to school and weekends. They have held up better than any other footwear for my son. They always last the entire school year, with enough life left in them for his younger sister to wear them on outdoor outings.

Keens are indestructible! My son is really tough on shoes. We would wear out a pair of shoes in two-three months. I recently bought him a pair of Keen Truckee's and am amazed at the quality and durability. They are two months old now and look brand new, plus he loves them! Easy to put on and comfortable. Thank you Keen for making such a rugged shoe that stands up to five year old boys!

Perfect for hurting feet...
My 5 yr old had pain every evening in his feet and shins. Yes, I do believe part of it is growing pains... the other part is that I didn't think he was getting good enough support in his other shoes. We have tried many... Stride Rite, Nike, New Balance, Crocks, etc. These have stopped his foot pain! They have great arch support, a wide forefoot base, and good lacing system that fits his wide (XW-XXW in Stride Right) comfortably. These shoes are what we are buying him from now on.

Just Perfect!
I purchased these for my 4yo when his Stride Rights started wearing out. I own a pair of Keens myself & knew the quality would be excellent. It turned out to be a better choice than I could have imagined... not only do they fit well & support his feet, they don't collect sand inside from the playground like all of his previous play shoes have! I couldn't be happier with this purchase!

This shoe is awesome. My 4 year old can put it on himself and it goes well with jeans. He has a wide foot and Keen seems to fit his width.

 |  | Thank you, thank you! I'm thinking the Zappos customer service team must be made up of magical wizards, and I am getting spoiled! I called yesterday to exchange sneakers for a larger size, and late last night ordered some girly shoes, and this morning BOTH the sneakers and the shoes were at my door! I am stunned! Today I called a different place to order a specialty item (after checking Zappos site for something similar first, of course) and there is just no comparison whatsoever. Now I must wait at least a week for my order from this other place, and on top of that, pay ten bucks shipping! See, I am spoiled by Zappos spectacular customer service. Thank you so much!
