There was once a young prince who had only one goal in life - to find the perfect shoe. He wandered for many years through lands near and far, trying on shoe after shoe, but none were right. Then one day, he came upon a strange and magical kingdom called Zappoland. He realized he had wandered into shoe heaven, and that, sooner or later, he would find the perfect shoe. One day a young princess told him about a wonderful, enchanting shoe called "Pearl Izumi". He asked everyone he met where he could find this shoe. Finally, he came upon a wise old woman who lived in a tiny hut by the edge of the forest. She took the young prince to the House of Pearl Izumi, and there, after many long years of searching, he found the perfect shoe. There were many pearls to choose from, and they were all equally fine and wonderful, but the syncroSeek III was his favorite. The prince remained in Zappoland ‘til the end of his days, wandering the hills and valleys in his Pearl Izumi's. The End.

Styling shoe that is perfect for runs in the elements. It is waterproof and has many areas of reflective material (eyelets, heel, tongue, shoe panel). It has the keen rubberized toe for off road runs. The shoe runs narrow and may take some getting used to. I normally run with Asics Trigon which has a great wide base. As usual Zappos delivers ahead of schedule without any troubles.

Near perfect -
Super shoes so far. I couldn't be happier with them. I use them for 3-5 mile runs, 3 mile fast walks with a 45 pound weight vest, and running stairs. I'm a muscular 5'9" 200lbs, and these shoes handle me great.

Pearl Izumi trail shoe review -
This shoe performed well; no hot spots or muscle soreness. Good traction on slippery mud. They felt a little heavier than my Asics GT2120, but I expected that from a trail shoe because I want more from them than road running.
Other brands recommended by reviewer: I'm true blue to Asics.
