After a year-long trial run on a spacious campus, these shoes passed the test. Miles of walking every day for two semesters hardly even show on these shoes and they still fit comfortably as ever. This shoe led to the purchase of other pr!vo shoes, and probably will in the future, too. Very cute as well. :)

I have to say that I walk a lot. I mean, miles at a time. My other Privos have been so comfortable, I think I got spoiled. When I saw how cute these shoes were, I had to have them. While they were comfortable for the first 6-8 blocks, they gave me several blisters and had me limping by the end of a 2 mile walk. I want to give them another chance, they are so cute, but I just don't think that it is worth going through that again, esp. when I have 4 other pairs of Privos that do not give me this problem.

Feeling is believing...
...this shoe lives up to all the compliments, and then some. Having seriously flat feet, it's hard just finding a shoe that's tolerable... but never in 53 years has a shoe felt so good from the moment I put it on. Also got it in Stone and might buy all the colors, it feels that good. Zappos service continues to amaze and impress... it's what every business should be. THANK YOU!

These are the perfect shoes for me, comfortable from the minute I put them on! Cute, too. I ordered them for an upcoming trip to Europe, where I expect to walk almost everywhere. They are great for airport security, too. Easy to slip off and on. Unlike some other reviewers, these seem true to size to me. I normally wear a 6B, ordered that size and they fit perfectly.

Made for walking -
I work in a big city hospital and am on my feet for 12-14 hrs per day...these shoes are better than any athletic shoe...they are soft...mold to your feet...supportive( I am 250lbs.) at the end of the day my feet may be a little smelly...but they do not hurt nor do my legs.

Perfect shoe - I wear an 8.5B but in most shoes could use a "C" for my toe area, but these fit me beautifully. They have a little less cushion, or support, than other more athletic Privos, but provide enough cushion so that they are comfortable for all day at the office or even shopping. I’m over 50 and some of the natural padding in my feet has diminished so I seek it in my footwear. I never thought I would again be able to wear the "flat" styled shoes that I have always loved, but here it is in the Step. I bought all four colors and can wear them with everything except suits and evening wear. I found the same comfort in the newer Cider style. Privo runs true to size for me with a little extra room in the toe box. I don't look at anywhere else anymore.

I love this shoe! I wish I had it in every color. I normally get blisters when I get a new shoe but not with this one. It is true that there is no break-in period and the bumps on the insole are truly unique...it makes the shoe that much more comfortable. It is a good all-round casual shoe...very comfortable and looks great too. The only thing I noticed is that I was a half size smaller with this shoe in order to get the right fit, but my foot tends to be on the narrow side so that may have made a difference.

Great comfortable shoe! I ordered the Privo Step in anticipation for an upcoming trip to Europe. I wanted something that would be comfortable for walking, since I know I'll be doing a lot of that, but also had some style. I wanted my shoes to be versatile as well, so I could wear them with casual capris or nicer skirts/pants to avoid bringing too many pairs of shoes. Luckily I finally found my shoe! First off, they are comfortable, for the most part. Right now, I'm still in my break-in phase, as the shoe feels tight on both pinky toes at the end of the day. Caveat: I do have wide feet. I walk everyday to work, which is about a mile each way and they are actually very comfortable everywhere else (e.g., arch, heel, ball of foot – almost like walking on air) with the exception of my pinky toes at the end of the day that I mentioned above. I have a feeling, however, that if they continue to break in a little they'll be just right. The padding in the footbed is also really nice and cushy. I wear these with ped/foot liners, which also help with any rubbing. As for style, they are really cute in a funky kind of way. It's true as the other reviewers mentioned that they do turn up like "elf" shoes, but that's what gives them their unique style rather than the traditional round toed flat. I've gotten nice comments on these. Overall I'm happy with these! If you're contemplating these shoes, go for it! After all, with Zappos you have free returns, so what do you have to lose?

Great for Travel!
I bought these shoes for a 2 summer trip overseas. It took a week to break them in fully (they rubbed the side of my foot just below the pinky toe). Once they were broken in they were THE PERFECT TRAVEL SHOE. They were the only pair of shoes I brought and I never regretted that decision. I wore them with a dress to the opera and everyday on cobblestone streets. My only complaint would be that they could use a little more padding in the sole (they have thinner padding than other Privos I have tried). But I literally walked in them all day everyday for 2 months with no problem. I even went in the ocean with them and they dried just fine with no change in shape. They run large, get a size smaller.

I bought these shoes for a lot of walking in Washington D.C. I had no blisters they looked absolutely adorable with everything I wore. I got a lot of compliments on them. I bought the white and I am going to buy the brown or stone.

My opposite experience -
I hesitate to write this since my experience is so different from others. But this shoe was extremely small and tight. I ordered a 7, my regular size (and a size I purchased recently at a major retailer). This shoe was too tight around the toes to even wear around the house. I loved the insole though. Not sure what to order next - probably a different style, maybe a larger size.

I have so much trouble finding a shoe cushioned on the bottom, wide toe box, narrow heel, with arch supports. This will do but even with an insert my feet were a little tired at the end of the day. It's cuter than my more comfortable shoes and certainly bearable at the office.

It is more of a casual shoe than a work shoe for me. This shoe was not meant for those who stand for 12 hours. I did not have to break them in or get used to them, they fit great from the start.

These shoes are extremely comfortable. I really only have one complaint and that is the fabric of the shoe gets dirty really easily. I actually bought the shoe for comfort and the color, but knowing what I know now I would have bought a darker color. After three wearings they are already really dirty.

Not really worth the money -
These shoes are cute and somewhat comfortable, but I don't think they are worth the money paid. The sole is rather hard, but does provide good heel and foot pad support, but no arch support. I have a very thick ankle and the back of the shoe slips off and is causing a blister.
Other brands recommended by reviewer: My favorite are still Borns and the regular Clarks.

This shoe was a little loose in the heel and tight in the widest part of your foot, but once that got stretch out, it was more comfortable.

Sizing is the downfall -
I loved the look of the Privo Step in stone color. Unfortunately, Zappos was out of my size. However after reading the reviews about how large the shoes were, I decided to try a size 11 even though I usually wear a 12. It was a bad decision but Zappos made it a happy ending by quickly crediting my credit card after I sent them back. I would definitely try Zappos again.

Cute, comfortable shoe, wear with pants, shorts & skirts -
I have this shoe in two colors: brown and stone. They are very cute, and after a break-in period very comfortable. I walk miles in a day (say between 2 and 6 miles), and I am able to wear this shoe without socks. They do require breaking in slowly, however, in order to avoid getting heel blisters.

I needed something that would work with jeans and khakis and would take me the mile to/from campus. It's cuter in person than online. Fairly comfortable, though after a long day of walking, I find that the front part across the forefoot (with less cushioning) is not nearly as comfortable as it was at the start of the day.

These shoes are absolutely wonderful. I have very picky feet and have a terrible time finding closed back flats that are comfy and don't dig into my heel. I ordered my regular shoe size (9) and placed Foot Petals Heavenly Heelz inside and they fit perfectly. Normally my feet get hot and sweaty inside shoes without socks but that doesn't happen with these.

I love the look of the shoes. Normally I wear a 10 but the size 10's were too short. Just exchanged them for a larger size. Zappos makes everything so easy. They Rock!

Cute, cute, cute...
Just a wonderfully cute shoe. Comfortable, but will need a bit of breaking in. Probably not a shoe to do tons of walking in. It's not what I would call a supportive shoe. But if you need a pair of casual shoes that look great with everything, this is it. The leather trim has a slight sheen to it that really sets the shoe off nicely.
