Good shoe but...
My 4yr old is really hard on his shoes. These sneakers have held up pretty well except the stitching on the velcro tabs came undone within a few weeks of purchase. Besides he thinks the Superball’s make him run faster and jump higher :)

Super tennis shoes -
These look good and were comfortable from the start. I liked that they said "superball" on the top instead of Stride Rite so they didn't seem babyish. My 7 year old son wears a wide width due to high insteps rather than wide feet, and these had enough room in that direction without being too wide across the toe box. The straps stay secure and he hasn't complained that the tongue doesn't stay in place. Although his other 13 1/2 W shoes still fit, he needed the size 1W in this shoe. He doesn't feel the balls in the heel. Can't review on durability yet, but so far they seem to be holding up to a very active little boy.
Other shoes recommended by reviewer: None. Skechers doesn't carry wides for kids any more and the width of NB wides varies with the style.

Superball H&L III -
This Stride Rite Superball sneaker is awesome. I am a fan of Stride Rite because they really make durable shoes. My grade schooler son loves to run, bike, etc. and these hold up. We had bought a pair of sneakers from a discount store and those wore out in no time. I went back to buying Stride Rite...it's worth it. We bought the red/silver color in these and they are really cool. We always stuck with a blue style, but my son LOVES these. Also, Zappos is great. The customer service is fantastic.

These sneakers are perfect for my 7 year old son who does a lot of running around. He's in little league, etc. Unfortunately for my son, he was born with extra wide feet and a low arch. So it’s very hard to find sneakers/shoes that are very comfortable and fit. Usually we have to go with New Balance but I don't really like the design of the velcro ones. Although my son knows how to tie his sneakers, there are just times I really wish he had Velcro so we could move faster (being a single mother, I am always on the run). Well these sneakers fit the bill, not only comfortable but stylish too! Thank you!

Fantastic Shoes -
I was so excited that we were able to obtain these shoes that we found in the store. The only problem is that they didn't have his size and neither did any of the other stride rite stores. Thankfully I thought of Zappos and was surprised and excited to find them and then have them delivered so quickly!!!

Stride Rite Superball -
These are wonderful shoes and my grandson is so pleased with them. He put them om and he said that they felt like he had them for a long time. They look nice and wear well. He has always worn Stride Rite ever since he first started wearing shoes and doesn't want to wear anything else. Zappos always has the best selection for kids and my grandchildren can just scroll through the shoes and pick out the ones they like. I ordered these shoes on a weekend and they came on a Monday morning. Zappos you are the best. I will continue to shop with you because it is so easy.

Zappos is great!
I bought this as a gift. I received it on my doorstep the next morning - and I placed the order late at night. I can't comment on the fit, but the little boy we bought it for LOVES it and only wants to wear this shoe everyday now. He tells everyone he can go really fast in these sneakers because of the super balls in the sole.

Zappos is SUPER!
First let me just say that Zappos has THE BEST customer service of any business I have ever bought from!
My son loves the superball shoes. They fit perfectly and have been very durable. They were exactly what we needed.

Great shoe for the value but....
My son has worn this style for a few years now. It fits well and he likes it so I continue to buy them, however, this last pair which is not quite a month old has started to tear on the tongue and I am wondering if stride rite's quality is going down hill due to such mass production. I don't think I will buy this style in the future which is a shame because they seem to have good support, look really nice and fit well. Maybe I got a pair with bad stitching, it happens but I might have to find a new brand.

Love it.
My son said they are very comfortable. Sturdy. Well made. XXW is hard to find. Stride has the size and it makes my shopping so much easier. Velcro is convenient.

Incredibly hard-to-fit-feet are very happy in this shoe -
My son has ultra wide, ultra tall feet, and very few shoes are comfortable. He has these in an XW and he loves them (he even likes these in regular W, which usually doesn't fit him). They appear to be very comfortable for him and we will definitely buy them again.

First time customer -
Shoe was exactly as expected. I usually shop at Stride Rite stores (in order to get wide sizes) but become limited to selection due to sizes out of stock. In the comfort of my own home I ordered stride rite shoes and got them the following day at my doorstep. I am impressed!!

Stride Rite Shoes are Excellent!!!
I have purchased Stride Rite shoes for my 5 year old grandson since he was a baby - he has a wide foot so I didn't even think twice when decision time came about what brand of shoe to buy. I have purchased the past 2 pair of shoes I've bought for my grandson from Zappos - prior to that I always bought from department stores - but they never seem to have any wide width Stride Rite's in stock anymore - Zappos is where I will purchase shoes from here-on-out.
My grandson wore his new shoes for the first time today - to school. He loves these shoes!!!
The first thing he wanted to know was what all the balls on the bottom were for - I told him it was to make the shoes more comfortable when he walked. He walked out of the room and came back in and said "these balls work good". So . . . as my title for this review says: Stride Rite Shoes are Excellent!!!!!
