This is the second pair of Stride Rite's Beowulf Quick Close sneakers I have bought for my son in the past year. He LOVES them and wears them all the time. This is a very durable sneaker and has a great look to it. Very happy with how fast I received my sneakers!!

My son loves this shoe and it is easy to put on. My only complaint is that there are 2 velcro parts on the top. So you have to make sure you pull it all the way over get the correct one.
Other shoes recommended by reviewer: Sperry also works for wide widths with velcro as well

Great shoe for warm weather. Was looking for a wide shoe for my 7 year old son for summer. He's been very happy with the fit and feels the shoe keeps his feet cool. I like the fact that you can adjust with the velcro for fit. Service was five star as always.

My son's favorite color is green and it is so hard to find sneakers either all green or that are nice enough with just a hint of green. These are perfect. I know that when I am looking for a particular something I can always count on Zappos.

We live in a city where we walk EVERYWHERE and this shoe has been great for my son. He says it is comfortable and it looks good, too. My son has wide feet as well, so it was a lifesaver to be able to purchase the shoe in wide.

Comfortable, easy on, easy off shoe -
My 9 year old son likes this sneaker. It is very comfortable. The sneaker is better suited for warmer weather; Spring, Summer, Fall, because of the mesh. It's a good sneaker for my son, since his feet tend to sweat easily. I first purchased the sneaker in my son's size 2 1/2 W. But, I had to return them and order them again in a 1/2 size up. We are very happy with the sneakers!

Perfect summer shoes -
Soft, flexible, easy to get into and out. So much air holes that it's perfect for summer. It might be too cold for California winter.

Good Looks, Comfortable and Easy-To-Use -
This shoe is easy for my son to put on, comfortable for wider feet and is easy to dry when my son plays in water. The shoe has small holes near the arch to make them more comfortable in warm weather and prevent athlete’s foot. The colors are good with his tan school pants. This style of velcro shoes are less embarrassing at school, not so little-boy looking.

Chubby Little Feet -
We have a hard time fitting my grandson in shoes. He takes an XW which are nonexistent in our area. I was excited about finding Zappos! The shoes we purchased fit great and were easy for a 6 year old to get on and off by himself. Love the quick and easy return policy!

Really a GREAT velcro shoe for older kids!
I can't say enough nice things about this shoe. Has the usual Stride Rite quality and comfort with the added bonus of the "criss cross" velcro design -- very stylish for our 3d grader. The velcro tab lifts off to one side to reveal an elastic center middle upper for slide-in comfort and additional custom fit. This shoe is an exceptional value -- among my all time favorite Stride Rite purchases.

 |  | Dear Zappos: I am thrilled to death. I ordered 3 pairs of shoes yesterday and they are on my front porch already!!! I did not pay extra for express shipping. I have looked and ordered from other online shoe sites because they had a particular style or size that I needed right away including Stride Rite shoes for my 2 yr. old grandson. I always come back to Zappos for my shoes because of the variety and I just love to look at shoes! This is the first time that I was ever upgraded to overnight shipping without a charge.
