In July 2009 I purchased two pairs of Oakdale Oxfords, one black & one brown. From a different retailer, I purchased my first pair of Oakdale Oxfords in 10-4E & found them to be extremely comfortable. The wet gripping soles are perfect for casual use & as golf shoes. I wear them every time I play golf which is four times a week & they grip as well as any spikeless golf I have worn in the last ten years. These shoes are a must buy.
Other brands recommended by reviewer: Any Dunham style similar to Oaldale.

Perfect middle-of-the-road -
I ordered this shoe style for my son, who has a very wide foot, and needed a much nicer casual shoe to go with more than jeans. He ordered 4W, which was fine in the width. They look great with jeans, but also with nicer pants and blazers, etc. His only slight criticism was that it could use more cushion, but he has been used to wearing either Keens or athletic shoes for many years.
