Rubbing the grass -
Recently I was seated in the grass and my shoes were rubbing the grass. The paint of my shoes suffered an important kind of waste of paint. Maybe was my fault, but I never thought that it was very easy to damage the paint of my shoes.

Exactly what I was looking for. They felt a little snug but they're leather and stretched perfectly. You do need to break them in a bit.

This is my 2nd pair of the Dockers Gordon. They wear extremely well. The rubber sole makes them comfortable. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a comfortable shoe suitable for work or leisure.

I was looking for a comfortable pair of shoes to replace a pair of shoes I bought locally that tore up my ankles. I'm on my feet quite a bit and walking around hard surfaced floor in an 88K building. These shoes are very comfortable.

Wearable right out of the box. No break-in period for the black Gordon Dockers. Been wearing this brand for 10 years, wore out many pairs at work. I replace them about every 3 months for maximum comfort. Thanks for a nice shoe for the working man.

I bought this pair in black about a week ago. The left shoe had some rough edges on the inside part of the shoe's upper, right around where the laces are. This made it sort of bite into the top of my foot a little and was uncomfortable for the first couple of days. Seems to have broken in now and is fine, so eventually I got what I thought what I was getting i.e. a modestly priced shoe to wear to work.

A very attractive shoe, but inadequate width. I hope these break-in but presently can be uncomfortable. I had ordered an EE width and received W, which is all they had to offer. I felt this was deceptive, but I kept them anyway.

Great shoes...
I searched for weeks in every dept store you can think of in North TX and tried on just about everything in the "comfort dress shoe" category. I am 46 and my feet had gotten to a point where they would no longer tolerate traditional dress shoes at least not for a whole day at work. My desk is literally one quarter of a mile walk from my car in the company garage. This was taking a toll on my feet every day. I did not have a lot of faith in these as Dockers (Levis) was known for Jeans and khakis, right? But, lo and behold, I put these on and started walking around the DSW store. BTW, DSW is a great place to try on shoes at they have a lot of floor space that you walk around in to really get a good feel for any shoe you are considering. To this point I had tried everything from Bostonian to Timberland to Rockport to Ecco...just name it and I probably tried their entry in the comfort dress shoe arena. Nothing felt anywhere near as good as the Gordons. I have both the brown and black and have been wearing them now for almost a year. They feel great all day and, due to the expansive layout of my corporate headquarters, I have to do a lot of walking during the day (sometimes). They have worn great and look great also...something I could not say about most of the other shoes I tried on. I have recommended these to several co-workers and they have loved them as well.

Comfortable but heavy and squeaky.
These are as comfortable as Rockports, but the soles are different. They are a soft rubber that's quite heavy and a bit noisy. Nice look, though. Simple, and with normal shaped (not square) toes.

Nicely styled shoe -
I purchased these shoes because they came in extra wide. That they are, as well as casually stylish and comfortable. I was able to get acclimated to them after a couple of wears. The laces are extra thick and have a tendency to come untied. My guess is because there's still a lot of wax on them, but it's not a problem.

Good shoe for everyday wear -
This shoe has a great look and feel for everyday wear to the business casual office. Very comfortable right out of the box with little break in needed. The shoe does feel a size smaller than marked, so be careful when ordering. I ordered my normal size and couldn't walk around the living room. The return was easy and I got a new pair one size larger and they are very comfortable.

Fantastic customer service and very quick delivery. I couldn't be happier.
The shoes themselves are a great deal at ~$60. They appear very well made, and look fantastic. Though I'm fairly convinced they will be a bit painful to break-in, it'll be worth it.

Nice balance between dressy looks and casual feel -
I bought these shoes in both black and cordovan. They needed a week or two of mildly uncomfortable break-in before I could forget they were on my feet. They are not as comfortable as sneakers or other casual shoes I've owned, but they are more comfortable than most dress shoes. My size is 9D (medium). Perhaps a step up in width would have been a better choice.
They are good looking shoes...perfect for business casual wear. I probably could wear them with a suit, but haven't yet. The cordovan pair has a more natural shine than the black. They are a bit too dressy for jeans though.
I was pleasantly surprised by the grip of the rubber soles on wet surfaces, excellent traction.
All in all, I am now quite satisfied and would consider ordering them again.

Very good value, ok shoe -
These were bought for occasional wedding and funeral type wear; economy was important, smooth black leather was important. Fit mattered little; I'm very hard to fit well. If such things existed, I'd need EEEEE toes, and a B heel. These meet my needs. I cannot wear Birkenstocks everywhere.

I got this to wear it everyday to work. And they fit the purpose just fine. Excellent cushion comfort and a smooth break in. Not flashy and not too normal. It’s perfect for the office.

I would like everyone to know that this Dockers Gordon is a very comfortable pair of shoes that I have purchased in a long time. The past several pairs of shoes I have purchased would usually take about a week to break in and feel alright. The styles have good looks to them. I will now purchase the other color to match this pair.

I really enjoy these shoes, but they have not held up well. The collar and heel area disintegrated long before the soles showed any wear at all. They are very comfortable, just not very durable.

Dockers Comfort, Business Look -
"Business Casual" is often a difficult target to hit. It seems you're always trading off smart looks for comfort or vice-versa. Dockers Gordon hits the mark perfectly. Just the right amount of eye-catching but not stuffy seams, an unpretentious cap toe and a finish that holds a shine just a notch or two above casual. And yet the comfort - what you usually think of when you think Dockers! No break-in time, just tie-em up and go. But there's more! After passing up a few foul-weather days to wear them for the first time, a surprise deluge on the first night found me stepping into puddles almost up to the laces. Cursing under my breath and stumbling to the car in the dark, I waited to feel the wetness creep in to the skin and make me seethe. By the time I started the car I finally realized that there was no wetness, the 'Gordon’s' held up like boots. Like boots! A very happy surprise. Now, color, I've always preferred cordovan over any other color, and this shade, a dark cordovan also strikes just the right balance between business and casual. No, not too happy with these shoes - not much! OK, send me them in black too.

I am not one to "break" shoes in. I believe they ought to feel pretty good from the first. These do feel good except for a little ridge on the right side behind my big toe. It was slight enough to keep the shoes. They were just what I was looking for.

I came across Zappos web site when searching for the sandal. I ordered these sandals at 3pm and received them at my doorstep the following morning around 9am.
