For the most part, these shorts are exactly what I was looking for! I work as a cetacean expert during the winter months in Hawaii, and these shorts are a part of my uniform. I'm on and off boats all day, and catching the lines, so these shorts really get a workout: salt-spray, sun, exposure. They look good all day, as at all times the crew is supposed to look impeccable in front of our clientele! The Outer nylon, seems thin, time will tell how long it lasts. I give these shorts easily, the highest rating possible, they feel really good, and wear like iron!
Other shoes recommended by reviewer: I bought two pair of Nike Shox, they complement the shorts superbly.

Length is too Long -
My fiancée is 6"6' and still, these shorts were too long. They were almost capris length on him. Other than that, he seems to like them and likes the fact that they have pockets!

I've had numerous surgeries in the last 5 years, buying shoes has always been a nightmare made worse by this. Since I found Zappos.com I'm always able to find what I need, whether for work, dress casual, sandals, comfort, you name it. I could not do this if it weren't for you. Before you came along I bought possibly one pair of shoes per year, and never online or through a catalog because of the shipping charges.
