Best shoe I've had in ages -
This shoe is comfortable and has a fairly good arch support. I was pleasantly surprised. I had to get a larger shoe and it was no problem. Great shoe for someone who has to have a larger size. I'm sold on New Balance W498. I have a hard time finding shoes that fit & these are tops!

Great Shoes -
I wear a size 4 shoe and in the past was only able to buy children’s tennis shoes which did not fit properly. This shoe fit perfectly and is so comfortable. I am 65 and can wear them all day long with no tired feet. I also wear them to my exercise class. I now have tennis shoes that have arch support, don't say Stride Rite on the back or have soles that light up. I placed my order one evening, received email confirming my order and when they were shipped. I received the shoes the next day! That is the best customer service I have received ever. Thank you Zappos, life is good.
Other shoes recommended by reviewer: I wear a size 4 so am limited on shoe choice.

NB's changing?
I'm surprised that the fit is not as usual; the shoes have always been the best fit and most comfortable I could buy and I never had to worry about the consistency of fit. This time the shoe feels tool long, has too much toe room and one is too tight across the width of the foot. Disappointed!!!

I love these sneakers. I feel like I am walking on clouds. I really love the fact they come in wide sizes. I would definitely buy these again.

I'm on my feet all day and have been wearing this model for years. It has a wide toe box and a balanced feel when I walk.

I was looking all over for a pair of New Balance running sneaks that just had a navy trim...to go with jeans and a new navy all weather jacket.
I have problems with my feet and knees and my old pair are old and ugly!!!!
My orthotic fits very comfortably and I am a "happy 65 yr old camper."

 |  | Best online service ever!!! I had gone to 8 stores to look for these sneakers for my daughter's 9th birthday, with no success. I finally decided to go online and search for it. Several sites popped up. I went to a few sites to compare prices and finally landed Zappos.com. I am so glad I did. The free shipping was great and brought my cost below the other sites' costs for the same item. However, after placing my order, within a few hours I got an email notifying me that my shipment would be sent in 24 hours. I had planned to present my daughter with this gift at her party on Saturday, however, her birthday was next day. Can you believe it! We received the sneakers within 24 hours of ordering it, on her birthday. This was the best service I've received online or in person for that matter.
